Great instructional video. This sounds fascinating and more true to a insect colony simulation than Apiary is. Backing the Kickstarter and now just anxiously waiting until Sept 2024
The battle system here is very reminiscent of the "elections" in Tammany Hall. I really had an awful time playing Tammany Hall, as the progression of one election after another was quite tedious and repetitive. There's at least a bit more going on in this game, but I'm pretty sure the battle system would sap my interest in it.
I know nothing about Tammany Hall beyond having heard the name before. I do think that having battle in any game like this is going to excite some people and fill others with dread.
@@JonGetsGames in this case I think it's just the succession of battles, not the fighting itself. You might have to resolve 5 or 6 battles after a round. In a 3 or 4 player game, some of the battles won't involve yourself, which kind of drags as you wait for people to decide if they are playing support cards or not. This is similar to TH where you hide in your hand cubes that represent extra power. It's just a sloggy mechanism IMO.
CORRECTIONS:
1:07:11 - I missed a 4th food that Red should have gathered.
I did not think I’d be so invested in a game about ants as a theme! Great teach.
Very excited about the 2nd edition of this game. I played the first addition quite a bit and very much enjoyed it.
Your voice makes me chill. Thanks for the teach, i planning to back this project.
My reaction when JonGetsGames has a video about a game I am interested in: "yesss."
But how do the ants travel through the wormhole without using exotic matter to stabilize it?
Thanks for this one. I think this demonstrates how the concerns were addressed from the original.

An interesting game. Seems in my wheelhouse, a lighter sorta 4xy thing.
Thanks for the video!
This game looks excellent.

Great teach! How does it play at 2?
I am unsure, I have no experience with that count. Sorry.
Missed a food for red at 1:07:30. They should have gotten 4 food.
Good catch! I've added a note, thanks for pointing it out.
Solo mode is it good?
I don't have any experience with it, sorry.
