I’m a Yankees fan and they aren’t a bad team, but the astros pitching is just so much better, and so is their offense. Astros just have a solid team this year, and I wish them the best in the World Series if they make it there

They are a bad team. Their offense is so inexcusable I don’t even know where to begin. The Mariners had no problem scoring so they’re pitching isn’t invincible. I personally wouldn’t let Houston dog on me for 5 years straight but that’s just me. Yankees just aren’t the same franchise that wants to win it all.

In that game if they score 1 run in ANY of the first 17 innings they win .....

Imagine the Astros going undefeated like the Reds in 76 that'll be a dream come true
It would be sweet but it's higlyly unlikely because the Reds only needed to win 7 games in a row (3 against the Phillies in only a 2 division league and 4 against the Yankees in the WS) to have a perfect post season. In order to match that feat of winning all the way to a championship we'd have to win 11 in a row - hard enough to do that in the REGULAR season ket alone in the post season when all you play are the top teams in the league. Much harder and longer road to go undefeated for an entire playoffs. Times sure have changed!
Yankees had a good year but Houston is just a more complete team. Their bullpens been fire lately too.
Houston has been the better team for many years now. Less streaky, more consistently good.

It takes SUSTAINED success by a team (not a league) over another team to be considered "owning" them. Case in point: What the Astros have done (so far) to the Yankees since 2015.
Beating a team in one series (even the World Series) is not owning them. Three different teams in one league beating teams from the other league in the World Series is not owning them.
The Braves RENTED the Astros last year, I'll give you that. But it takes a lot more to own them.
Sad Yankee faces, sad Cardinal faces, sad Braves faces and sad Dodger faces all in the same post season.

You know he's gotta be enjoying every moment of this series. The Yankees have never been dominated by one team so effectively in their history, especially over a 7 year span.
Actually, it was Bob Costas who said it and it was weird hearing him say that.
The Yankees got major favoritism from that ump in this game who expanded the strike zone in a big way for their pitchers and skrunk it for their hitters so the fact that they still lost it’s nobody’s fault except theirs! What I want to know is if the Astros sweep the Yankees in this series would this be the first time the Yankees got swept by an opposing team in the playoffs?

Since the Yankees were blaming their Game 2 loss on the Astros for having their roof open and thus having the wind prevent an Aaron Judge go ahead home run, my favorite part of that game just now was that 2 run Chas McCormick home run that just barely made it out. I don't think that would have made it out in Minute Maid. I think the Astros should be thankful that the wind is on their side.

Judge had been blunt in defense and offense today. It is impossible to continuously do well, but so many people have depended on him to win the series and go to WS.
Javier was supposed to start game 4 in the ALDS vs mariners, but we swept the mariners so game 4 wasn’t necessary
There are currently 6 videos regarding the NLCS but only this one about what happened in the ALCS. You can definitely tell who the MLB wants to win in the American League. If the Yankees were leading the series there would be many more ALCS game 3 highlights.

Man what a luxury it is for the Astros to have 2 quality starting catchers and you can start either one any game and they can produce. They call great games, throw runners out, and get rbi hits. The pitchers also have to love them calling games. Stros in 4!

As a Yankee fan, I'm not surprised by this result. Think it's time to clean house with coach/GM.. Cashman's goal is to always make the playoffs by stocking the team with power hitters. Unfortunately, those same guys strike out against the good pitching they face in the playoffs. Boone never should have been a NYY mgr in the first place
