Like, it felt more relaxed, and I don't think that took away from the overall tone. If anything, it enhanced it. Kaulau is so chill, not realizing she's in serious trouble, and I felt that tension. I love seeing her family be so close and loving during the celebration and on calls - and they still sold her out!!! Stuff like that is always so interesting, how is she gonna handle knowing her parents were ready to just give her up like that? Even if she was willing to offer herself up as well?

Just to be clear, she doesn’t turn herself in, Kaulua doesn’t call any of her siblings by their full names. So when she calls him Ginis instead of Gin, Ginis knew something was off. I had a scene planned after her pissed off look but ran out of time to put it in. 😊
