I love when people post the lyrics. When I was younger, the first thing we did when we bought a tape/cd was pull the sleeve out for the lyrics. Can't do it these days with music being online mostly. Much appreciated x
In 2013 Roc'n Coke, Arctic Monkeys and Maximo Park staged at the same time and i choosed to listen these guys while everyone else is listening Arctic Monkeys. It was actually lovely perform.

Strange old people worshipping pictures on their wall accompanied by a black and white cat that always looks drunk... once I saw a guy who looked a lot like that wearing a striped jumper stood at a bus stop with his arms in the air whilst shaking them and making strange gestures and seemingly making cookoo noises. The joys of being a Northerner!

they're not a new band, they've been around for quite some time and are from my hometown of Newcastle, to should listen to some of their older stuff - they're great!
Being a massive MAXIMO PARK fan and having seen them 7 times and bought all their albums and dvd's .... I reckon this is one of their best offerings. Brilliant song ! !

Everytime you experience a new feeling or state of mind, be certain Maximo Park have already described it in one of their songs.And the best thing, its possible to catch the meaning after some further thinking, even if you are a non-native speaker.
Wow! What a beautiful, beautiful, slightly haunting song. I've heard it many times before I saw the video and it compliments it entirely, you can feel the loneliness in the lyrics but the video picks it up brilliantly. My favourite song in a long while.
Much better live, much much much better! The studio version seems muted in emotion. Go and see them when they're next on tour, I guarantee you will not be disappoint.

Aside from the gritty Depeche like lyrical theme I thought it was The Beloved making a comeback when I first listened to it on XFM......although it's not a great advertising soundtrack for the Scottish Tourist Board!
