hello zhan, i have a question about drawings on the biology igcse paper 6 ATP. I think since cells and tissues usually have simple shapes and a straightforward structure they are quite easy draw. therefore when drawing cells or tissues you are able to spend less time securing those 3 or 4 marks. but sometimes there will be a detailed photograph of a plant, e.g. inkcap mushroom, where you have to make a large drawing of it. the problem for me with this question is that not only do i need to make the drawing large but i also have to include the details of the plant. and in the case of having to draw a inkcap mushroom, i will need to draw all the individual white patches that are all irregular in shape. not only are they very irregular, there are also more than 15-20 or them! i wish i could send you the picture of it, i am a bit frustrated since this may take me atleast 5-10 minutes to draw everything than i need to secure all 4 marks according to the mark scheme. not only is this is a bit unfair with how many marks you get for drawing it, but the picture is in low resolution so i can’t get a clear view on the mushroom to draw its features. i am wondering if this is just a skill issue or if i only need to draw some white patches on the cap to secure the marks and not all the white patches. please let me know thank you
I understand I understand how you feel! To me, regardless which kind of drawing is given, keep this in mind "do not draw individual cell" and one more, when you see the specimen provided, draw the ones which you can see it so obvious, like the key features that is there. It's kinda instincts to be fair
@@BiologyWithZhanXuan Hello Zhan, sorry i have just another 2 quick questions, my first question is what does the percentage before the solution mean - e.g. 5% pectinase solution. i think it is the concentration right? and for line graphs, do we always draw best line of fit or only do it when specified in the question? otherwise we should just connect points with a straight line. thank you
Yes the 5% pectinase solution is concentration. In IG Bio, no mol/dm^3, mostly percentage! For the graph, just connect points with a straight line, if the question didnt state specifically otherwise.
Hi Zhan, you said that we do not need to know the production of penicillin but in 0610/43 may/june 2022 there was a question (specifically question 1) about the production of penicillin
Hii! Yes you don't really need to memorised, just only scheme through the key points. (Apologies for lack of clarity) From the question, I saw they have given you the stages, so I assume is just using the fermenter concept and apply towards penicillin production
Hey Zhan, could you please tell me What sickle cell anemia is as i dont really understand it that much from other sources as you might know, they include extra info. which is not required for IG, so maybe could you please tell me the IG defination and points i need to learn?
NICE VIDEO XHAN SIR

Hey! For this IGCSE syllabus, there is no sickle cell anaemia, it has been removed from the 2023-2025 syllabus.
Oh ok ty
