UPDATE:1 year and still cranks within the first 2-3 pulls. Probably will buy another when this one finally does bite the dust ruclips.net/user/postUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX . No issues at all. Very happy with it.UPDATE: After 6 months of use and over 70 uses I would still highly recommend this pressure washer. It does vibrate a decent amount but never had it “walk” like others have mentioned. No oil leaks, still seems to run like the day I bought it. Still cranks within 2-3 pulls every time. Very happy with my purchase!Have used it about a dozen times now. Plenty of power, cranks up on 1-2 pulls every time. My only complaint would be I wish it was a little taller to make it easier to walk with it (hits my ankles a lot) and that the two hose connections were a little further apart but it hasn’t caused me any issues. Seems to run a good 1-1/2-2 hrs on a full tank, overall a well built machine and definitely worth the money in my opinion.
I have this machine and use it for commercial use but on residential homes I also bought a wirl-a-way 20 inch surface washer to do roofs and driveways and this machine starts on first pull Everytime haven't changed oils yet but gonna do in next day or so excellent machine about to upgrade to bigger and better equipment though since I'm doing a roof a day now have to get a bigger engine with a 4400 psi 10 gpm pump for surface washer to clean in one pass instead of 2 or 3 passes using this 2.5 gpm pump I've read the more gpm will clean with one pass and can move a lot quicker instead of walking slow so the water could clean as you make a pass I recommend using a smaller surface cleaner like a 16 inch for this machine but since I'm doing roofs and driveways everyday I definitely need a bigger machine with more gpm and I'll be able to upgrade to a bigger surface cleaner as well possibly a 40 to 50 inch surface cleaner but for your review this machine is really good machine I am extremely satisfied with it and will still use this machine even after I upgrade just so I can move up to doing 2-3 roofs a day with the upgrades machine I'll be able to run 2 hoses off pump which will drop gpm down to half and half about 5gpm each hose and will be able to use DeWalt washer with it's single hose to get jobs done quicker
Hmm you said your machine runs an hour and half to 2 hours per tank mine runs 2 n half hours on full tank I'm able to get half a roof washed with 20 surface washer on a barrel tile roof and the surface washer can be level whole time and won't break and tiles on a flat tile roof coated with paint or elastomeric roof coating I can pressure wash whole roof on one tank of gas
I bought that washer a couple years ago possibly three. They cost a pretty penny but it works better than any one I've had before it. I am a professional house painter and this more than does the job that I need it to do. It has water pressure control to keep the novices from damaging any surfaces. It's always started on the first pull but recently it has not stayed running after a few seconds. It did take a little bit too much water on it the last time I washed. I thought that might be the problem. I talked to a friend of mine who does small engine repair and he says it's likely the carburetor. So here I am looking for videos on how to change that and found your video. Very good assessment on this particular washer. The Honda engines are really good and I've never had a problem until now. But this gives me an opportunity to change the pump oil and the engine oil as well as the carburetor. Wish me luck.
Man, I just seen this today at Home Depot and thinking about getting it by the end of this year. I know this video came out years ago but you truly addressed all the issues I had about the unit . Most certainly a helpful video.
Nice review, you covered a lot! This is a great unit, just bought one returned and verified fine at HD for $149 (clearance). Change the oil immediately, both in AAA pump and engine. Purchase the 33" extension wand, and a spinning head for very fast and easy no effort floating motion and about 5x cleaning speed. Buy ear plugs, hearing is priceless. Change oil after 10 hours or less, and every 50 hours of use or less. This thing will last a long time if you do. Pressure is adjustable with each of the different wand tips (spray patterns), along with a black pressure adjustment on the AAA itself. Ready the manual completely. Do not let it run without holding open the trigger, bypass mode is not a good way to find out if your pump works in this mode or not. Pump is easy to ruin this way. Turn it off if not using for more than 2 mins, I go with less than 30 seconds or so, enough time to change the head. Also buy a 100 foot 4200 PSI replacement hose, its worth the 100 bucks on Amazon. Finally, don't let your old lady give you a 'honey doo' list like this putz got as a result of this tool in your arsenal :)
I just bought one for $400 from someone who used it just once. It came with an extra hose that's really long too. Love it! Works really well! I changed the oil on the motor and the pump as I didn't know if the first owner had done that or not, so better safe than sorry.
WorkshopAddict Now today it won’t stay running. It keeps shutting off. I was thinking it’s the fuel filter but I can’t find it and the manual is useless, lol. The gas cap vent isn’t clogged as I did check that. Any idea where the fuel filter is?
I recently bought a Simpson PS4033 4000 PSI 3.3 GPM. It was a new in box on-line return at our Sams Club in their clearance section. Its not a unit they normally sell. I kept an eye on it for several weeks and talked to a manager and got them to reduce the price to $500. The list price is around $900 at Lowes. The Simpson and Dewalt units are made by the same company so my unit is very similar to the DXP3425. I have used it to clean my garage floor and patio. The engine is a Honda GX270 and it is a great engine. I ordered the pink colored 2nd story tip so I can soft wash my house siding. Overall very happy with this unit particularly for the price paid.
We've got the same exact one and it's a fantastic unit, got it about two years ago and use it for just about everything from the driveway to washing the windows/walls/roof/patio/backyard to getting the dirt/mud/sand off of the side-by-side and the work trucks and last but not least I use it to wash our Persian rugs, got 4 of them and i started washing them myself after I got tired of paying a ridiculous amount to this professional rug cleaning company. They washed it three times and when the time came for the fourth wash I had already purchased the 3400 so I started doing it OBAMA-self, (hope you got the humor in all by myself.) Anyways i don't use it to wash our other cars but i use it to wash theme work trucks for sure. Never had an issue with it other than a flat tire. Thanks for the great upload and I'm about to start washing the backyard in about 15-20 min. ✌👌👍
I know where to pour the engine oil, but as for the pump i'm not sure where to pour it from. the manual show you how to change the oil, but I,m not sure about the acutal pump oil.
Im able to turn on my pressure washer. Water is already running. Just put new oil and gas. And as soon as i start my spray gun and water starts coming out.... the pressure washer turns off. Any idea why? Its a brand new pressure washer
Does your model have a throttle on the engine that you have to increase rpm manually? Is the unit warmed up, meaning did it idle for about a minute? Is the air filter clean and not full of oil?
Is this pressure washer not go for washing vehicles? Obviously if you get to close you can damage your paint or even remove some. But if your careful by not placing the sprayer to close is this a good buy for washing my vehicle?
I have a think 2016 Dewalt 3400 2.5 pw. I have gasoline coming out of the gas on off lever. A small reservoir. I am assuming there is gasket to replace or the whole black switch. Your thoughts and if so where to buy.
hey man how is this holding up for you? any upgrades? i have bought one about a month ago and was thinking if there was a pump that would be able to kick up the GPM.
It is holding up awesome. If you want more power now, return it while you still can and buy the 4,000 psi model. You can dial that one down and it will still give you the extra power you want when you need it.
@@BoBPrivateSecurity1 It's now this one. www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-3600-PSI-at-2-5-GPM-HONDA-GX200-with-AAA-Triplex-Pump-Cold-Water-Professional-Gas-Pressure-Washer-DXPW3625/310092072
@@WorkshopAddict im looking at a 3100 psi dewalt. It says dewalt on the engine and not honda. Its a few hundred dollars cheaper than the 3300 psi would you say this would be a good buy?
I use Valvoline Racing motor in all of my small engines because there is not catalectic converter and the oil has a very high zinc rating. The pump, I would run Rotella T 5W40.
Wondering 2 things. 1. Does it have a fuel shut off? 2. Can you stand it up on like a hand truck for storage? I rather have this one but like the ryobi do to the design. just needed a better hose.
Next question. The manual recommend E10 fuel. Is that the same as unleaded or is there something I need to add in addition to the unleaded fuel or do I need to find e10 fuel? Where do I find e10 fuel? Thanks!
The manual recommends the use of E0, E5, E5 or E10 and says no E15 or E85. E stands for Ethanol and the number after it is the percentage of ethanol in the fuel. So, it depends on the state you are in as to what your normal fuel is. IMHO, use your normal car fuel, but treat each tank with stabil 360 and you will be fine.
Do you use pump saver when you store it for a while? It sounds like the pump relief valve could be sticking and the engine is not able to use all the fuel when it loses the load from the pump quickly.
@@WorkshopAddictIt is brand new. Just got it yesterday and is the same way it came out of the box. Just won"t turn neither side. What do you mean by pull up?
@@edwincordero8 I moved up to the 4200 psi and I have not used it for a few months since it is winter. I believe that know locks in place so it does not loosen up when running. So pull out or up on the knob, then turn.
@@WorkshopAddict The knob on my pressure washer is horizontal. Washer on the knob won't turn. Washer off and pressure released, the knob won't turn . Won't pull out. Just won't move. I'm out of options.😫
14 months ago, I broke down and purchased a brand new DeWALT DXPW3425E, which is the same unit seen here but mine has an electric starter that's why it has the last digit "E". Here is the sad and agonizing history... 1. When it was brand new it worked Great! I used it one hour. 2. By the second month, or about 2 hours of use later the water sensor attachment broke. When I got it, I had a feeling it was a weak design and was going to break easily. It looked like a last miniate fix DeWalt added to fix a problem. And yes, my Sensor connection broke. So, I went into RUclips and sure enough there were endless videos on the same problem. So, I fixed it, and used it another hour, and it worked fine. 3. Three months later I went to use it and added another 2 hours of use, and all was good. 4. Two months later, the engine started but the pump died, it barely had Six hours of use, and of course it was just a month after the warranty ran out. ONE MONTH. BOTTOM LINE. Each hour of use cost me about $100 dollars, and DeWalt will not warranty it, they didn't even warranty the cheap plastic water sensing attachment when it broke and that's when it was under warranty. And no, I'm not about to pay another $300 plus dollars for a new pump, because I feel so screwed and so taken fixing your Problem. Something is not right at DeWalt and I should have gotten a clue when I first saw that cheesy water sensor attachment. DeWalt you know what you're doing is WRONG. BUT HEY, THAT ELECTRIC START HONDA ENGINE RUNS LIKE A CHAMP...🥳
What are some good chemicals for brick houses anything u recommend or website for chemicals and also whats a better way to get the higher parts on houses?
I cannot recommend good chemicals for brick. I believe there are many types and you would want to consult you local brick retailer. To get to higher spots, most use a ladder. That sucks! A Skytrack would be the best, but would beat up the lawn. In some cases scaffolding would work best.
I have just discovered that the high pressure seals have failed thus contaminating my oil with water. Is it worth replacing the pump or should I just scrap ol' Betsy and call it a day. Any help would be appreciated.
Yes, No issue. Do not use the zero degrees tip, use the 25-degree tip and stay back a bit. If it is too much pressure, reduce the throttle.. We use it for cars and side by sides all the time.
Hey man great video!! I just recently purchased this same model that is Brand spanking new (never been used) but I picked it up at a local pawn shop. Unfortunately it did not come with the owners manual, so after I started it ,hooked up the hoses and follow your instructions I went at it , but the water was now flowing through the pump. Is there a part of prepping for working the washer that I missed? Can you advise before I mess up?
+rafivan39 Hello. I'm not sure what the issue actually is. Here is a link to the owner's manual that should be able to walk you through the process. I got the manual off of the Home Depot site, just in case you need to find it again. www.homedepot.com/catalog/pdfImages/8f/8fac914d-e0d8-4150-a946-286c8ebfaa5f.pdf
Hi I have one just like that and was using it for a good period of time after starting it back up from giving it a bit of a break I noticed it back fired pretty loud. Any thoughts?
I have same unit, be careful, filling gas. The exhaust was so hot it flashed my ⛽️ burned the gas tank and top of unit! I'm lucky I'm not dead fire ball was 15' high. I will never fill after running. Let unit cool and be extremely careful pouring gas!
hello one question please? i have see in some forum people saying very bad things from this presseur washer can you tell if you have problems with pumps etc? i live in portugal i´m between a kranzle profi 195 tst or this type of presseur washer best regards
I was looking as this or the GX270. Is there a correlation between how many gallons per minute and how quickly you can wash an area? Would it take me less time to pressure wash a house with say 3.5GPM vs 2.5GPM?
Taylor Albaugh Think of it this way, the psi is the amount you can clean and the gpm is the speed at which you can clean it. The higher the psi the better it will clean, but can tear things apart easier. The more gallons per minute means you can move the wand faster and clean more faster.
I would if you want to ever be able to make it run 🤔 but I am sure you will get a operation instructions manual and I would really read it u never know when you're supposed to remove a bolt or something like that for shipping purpose but it's just a page or two before you go wasting hard earned money just follow the instructions to start up and I even got a copy of the thing and I got mine used and it was maybe used for a few days but it is not showing wear to the driver but I don't recommend just anyone to open up the pump for this model is a single but it's just a matter of what falling out must go back in the correct order but I just wanted to make sure that it was lubed up after knowing that it was sitting for at least six months and a few minutes and I was like why didn't you get one of these years ago and it would be great if you have mobile homes and not trying to make the siding look like it was shot at I have always had a biggest pressure washer available and if you don't need as much change the Damm nozzle but it's still a good 150+ lbs of machine and then you have hoses for the pressure side and the water and anyone who has ever had to do a few story building you are going to need to take it all because you can't have too much but I have to make an adapter for use of my quick connect hoses and wands with the screw on hose but I made a rinse wand with a wand end that you can twist it up and down works great like a water broom and I have been in the roadside piles of junk all my life and I have found about one of everything that didn't need anything but a new owner and took five minutes to get it home and not even half that to get it running and I still have that new Troy built generator please don't think that just because you have it covered that condensation is not going to be able to get in the gas especially since you have a gallon of water for every 10 gallons of fuel look it says that it is 10 % ethanol I don't think people realize how much you can do to inside of your lawnmower and other things you ask the guys who have commercial use they get the ethanol free fuel and I don't care if you don't want to use mower till next year it's going to run if you use the ethanol free fuel and regular fuel is breaking down in a few weeks not like the old days when you get a old car and start with the same fuel in it now if you know that it's been sitting just save yourself a lot of time and effort to get all the stuff in the tank out not trying to get it into the fuel injection too or carburator if you have a pre injection vehicle but up north deicer in fuel is just alcohol and if you have a bit of water and draining it isn't a option but you can add denatured alcohol and it will take care of the water 👍
Yes. Both with the type of nozzle adapter you use (both spray and pressure at orifice is impacted), but you can also use the black pressure adjustment on the AAA itself to reduce or increase (not sure what the low end is, maybe 1/2, or 1700 PSI) the pressure of the pump.
hi I just bought me the same machine from Home Depot she looks beautiful Brighton you but I can't make it run I can't get it to start I already put the engine oil in and I put gas turn it on and it does not start is there a trick to it
The engine oil is supposed to come right at the treads of the dip stick, if you don't have enough oil in it, the engine has a low oil shutdown and won't start.
I am having a problem starting my De Walt 4240. I think it builds up in pressure fast and is difficult to start. any advice? am I the only one having a problem
i just acquired one recently, i followed manual instruction to assemble after connection of water hose and pressure hose i was told told to press the gun until water comes out from the wand to free all the air in the pressure hose i dd that for almost an hour without success. is there anything else to do?
Tunji Olasupo Make sure your tip on the wand is fully inserted. You should hear air coming out. If you hear air coming out, you can start the unit at an idle and hold the wand open to try to purge faster, but if you do not get water out in less than a minute turn it off. My bet is that a tip is not inserted properly.
Love2boat92 Think about it...when you’re walking with it, the handle ends up being the perfect height. If the handle was any higher at rest, you’d be dragging its feet everywhere.
There is a hose that you put into your own separate soap container. Most commercial ones are like this so you can change from soap to cleaner to other items without draining the on board container. It makes it easier and you just buy the detergents needed and store them in their container.
Ashley Corleto That’s the thermal relief; when the pump starts overheating from leaving it run without spraying, it will blow out that valve to keep the pump from burning up.
So if you use normal fuel from the pump where you fill your car, it has ethanol in it. That is very hard on parts in the carburator and can clog up the jets in small engines. Not using the pressure washer and not using a fuel stabilzer will cause issue like a no start because the idle jet will quickly clog up. Not Dewalt's fault.
How do you trouble shoot the soap/chemical dispersal? I love the versatility of this pressure washer, but cannot get the chem hose to feed any chemicals. I have checked the hose and filter, but came up empty for the problem; any help?
remove the soap hose from the pump and visually check for.a blockage there. If none, check the hose to the tank for blockage. If there is no soap buildup, then make sure you are using the correct tip on the wand and blow into the hose to try so see if it will accept air. It should pull air. Sometimes it works good to let them soak in simple green to remove the soap residue in the pump if it is still not working.
Just got one for$120 from the pawnshop and I already had plenty of wands and hoses I was like why not just take a hose off one and anyone who ever been in a repair shop for small engines have a few pressure washers around and definitely hoses and wands and I have a pressure washer that's a helluva lot easier for me to get around then my 4000 psi 6 GPM with a 14 hp or 490x Honda but it is not a one person deal but I definitely will keep both of them especially since I don't have but$120 and it's like new condition and I cleaned the back patio and it's strong enough to get the stuff off and not just a waste of time like some of the machines that claim to have 3000+ psi and it's definitely got plenty of pressure and easy to get around alone and if I have a bigger job I'll get the big guy out but it is not hurting plastic and that's the most important thing with doing the cleaning to someone else's house and some people are not as understanding as others 🤔 but I got grease and rust off and on concrete nothing much more difficult without using any chemical and not just h2O but I have one and I will tell anyone I would buy it again , Honda motor so you know that it's going to run 🙏 and the pump is only as good as you take care of it can never check fluid too much for the qt or? Just do iol change as used And the#1 killer is not putting the machine away correctly and the water inside especially if you have well water u have a concrete like substance in places where your supply is the pump burns up and then you have to get another one but it is avoidable and everywhere and the net have proper way to store for extended periods of time and winter if you don't live in Florida with the rest of us 😂 I drive all over the place and empty building everywhere but in Florida you can see 15,000 units being built in a five Mile radius and everything south of st Pete is going to be a little Miami before they get it done and don't believe me just drive 75 in afternoon or morning and sure remind me of stuck in traffic on 95 working from Palm Beach to the keys
Robb brush jr. It's not but if you get distracted and take your mind off of it for even a tenth of a second then you can kiss a good chunk of your foot and your toes goodbye. So one should definitely wear the proper footwear.
There are 5 factors to clean. Temperature is one of them. For me this pressure washer was a waste of money. You need hot water to properly clean. Good video thou.
+Coogi King The Dewalt you listed will be good. Look for a commercial rated motor. If you can find one with an oil filter that would be best. Not many out there though. You want a horizontal pump that you can change oil in.

Remove the tip altogether and then let the water flow until you see it pulling the soap into the unit. Or as Work addict said, use the soap tip.

great review man! Just wanted to mention that I think the pros skip the soap and tend to use chlorine.
hey man how is this holding up for you? any upgrades? i have bought one about a month ago and was thinking if there was a pump that would be able to kick up the GPM.
It is holding up awesome. If you want more power now, return it while you still can and buy the 4,000 psi model. You can dial that one down and it will still give you the extra power you want when you need it.
Do they sale this at Home Depot?
@@BoBPrivateSecurity1 It's now this one. www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-3600-PSI-at-2-5-GPM-HONDA-GX200-with-AAA-Triplex-Pump-Cold-Water-Professional-Gas-Pressure-Washer-DXPW3625/310092072
This is a great video for a great machine.I'm having a problem connecting the soap dispenser hose.....need help on where to connect it please.
There is a barb on the pump.
The Honda engine is a big plus! Thanks for the review John!
Where in this video was starting the unit mentioned?
how has this model held up over the years?
I just bought a 3400 Dewalt pressure ready and can not start it. Any videos
Hi does it have a adjustment for the psi? Also great video its helped me make up my mind as to what pressure cleaner to buy
Yes, both in RPM (Throttle) on the motor and with a dial on the pump.
Nice i just got the 3600 psi one todays
@@WorkshopAddict im looking at a 3100 psi dewalt. It says dewalt on the engine and not honda. Its a few hundred dollars cheaper than the 3300 psi would you say this would be a good buy?
What motor oil would you suggest for service?
And also the type or brand of oil for the pump.
I use Valvoline Racing motor in all of my small engines because there is not catalectic converter and the oil has a very high zinc rating. The pump, I would run Rotella T 5W40.
Electric start?
Wondering 2 things.
1. Does it have a fuel shut off?
2. Can you stand it up on like a hand truck for storage?
I rather have this one but like the ryobi do to the design. just needed a better hose.
Bryan Medley when i by this Now i am in India
Next question. The manual recommend E10 fuel. Is that the same as unleaded or is there something I need to add in addition to the unleaded fuel or do I need to find e10 fuel? Where do I find e10 fuel? Thanks!
The manual recommends the use of E0, E5, E5 or E10 and says no E15 or E85. E stands for Ethanol and the number after it is the percentage of ethanol in the fuel. So, it depends on the state you are in as to what your normal fuel is. IMHO, use your normal car fuel, but treat each tank with stabil 360 and you will be fine.
great power!
Is this machine compatible to wash cars with?
Yes. It does well with a foam cannon.
Hi.... I have the same machine, why is my making a sound like firecracker something like that when i release the trigger is that normal.
Do you use pump saver when you store it for a while? It sounds like the pump relief valve could be sticking and the engine is not able to use all the fuel when it loses the load from the pump quickly.
@@WorkshopAddict I just bought it.
It doesn't do the bang sound all the time. I didn't applied ethanol shield could that be reason too.?
@@alemanivan3 No, it is just extra fuel probably firing in the exhaust.
Is this engine 2 stroke or 4 stroke?
4.
Hi friend. I have this pressure washer. The pressure washing knob barely moved to the left or right to adjust the pressure. Is that normal?
Do you have it locked? Pull up, then turn.
@@WorkshopAddict ok. Will try that. Will let you know results. Many many thanks.

Where can I get a longer hose for this unit? I can’t find one with the same ends
Amazon is your best bet. Here is a nice one. amzn.to/2KBdBuI

Jist got the 3600 psi version just now
I cant start my new 3600psi, did you have the same problem
I saw I new Dewalt gas generator, are you guys going to review that one?
+Carlos Osorio At this point, no, but we will look into it.
Sweet! Thank you
What are some good chemicals for brick houses anything u recommend or website for chemicals and also whats a better way to get the higher parts on houses?
I cannot recommend good chemicals for brick. I believe there are many types and you would want to consult you local brick retailer. To get to higher spots, most use a ladder. That sucks! A Skytrack would be the best, but would beat up the lawn. In some cases scaffolding would work best.
Do you have to dipsticks to check the Oil?why?
I have just discovered that the high pressure seals have failed thus contaminating my oil with water. Is it worth replacing the pump or should I just scrap ol' Betsy and call it a day. Any help would be appreciated.
Can I wash my car ???? Or not recommended???

+WorkshopAddict Thank you so much!
How do you turn it on...
Hi I have one just like that and was using it for a good period of time after starting it back up from giving it a bit of a break I noticed it back fired pretty loud. Any thoughts?
Common Honda issue as a bit of gas fumes sneak past a slightly open intake and exhaust valve and ignite in the exhaust. nothing to worry about.
does this pressure washer use regular gas?
+bernie lopez Yes, like most small engines, they do not want you to use anything over E10, but you can with the use of a fuel stabilizer.
Great, Great Review. Thank you!
I have same unit, be careful, filling gas. The exhaust was so hot it flashed my ⛽️ burned the gas tank and top of unit! I'm lucky I'm not dead fire ball was 15' high. I will never fill after running. Let unit cool and be extremely careful pouring gas!
Unit was completely off as well, bad design on my 5 gal gas tank which caused gas to splash on exhaust
Also, exhaust should not be located so close to tank fill
Can someone tell what kind and size water pump I would need to do mobile detailing tia
i’m having trouble starting mine any tips?
It has a low oil level cut off. Should be 3/4 up the dipstick without screwing it in.
hello one question please? i have see in some forum people saying very bad things from this presseur washer can you tell if you have problems with pumps etc? i live in portugal i´m between a kranzle profi 195 tst or this type of presseur washer
best regards
how difficult is it to swap out stock hose (too short) for an after market hose? Or change to a quick-disconnect style?
I was looking as this or the GX270. Is there a correlation between how many gallons per minute and how quickly you can wash an area? Would it take me less time to pressure wash a house with say 3.5GPM vs 2.5GPM?
Taylor Albaugh Think of it this way, the psi is the amount you can clean and the gpm is the speed at which you can clean it. The higher the psi the better it will clean, but can tear things apart easier. The more gallons per minute means you can move the wand faster and clean more faster.
Any trick to keep this thing from spinning when in use? I was thinking of chocking the wheels or something. Wonder if that would actually work
Are the rubber feet on the rear near the handle worn out or not installed? They should keep it from moving.
You're supposed to replace that shipping plug on the pump with the supplied vent.
I have a little problem w/ the release valve, it's spraying water, any thoughts on what might be happening??
The unit came with 4-cycle oil. AM I supposed to put that into the unit prior to starting?
Yes, that goes in the crankcase!!!!
@@WorkshopAddict Thanks!
I would if you want to ever be able to make it run 🤔 but I am sure you will get a operation instructions manual and I would really read it u never know when you're supposed to remove a bolt or something like that for shipping purpose but it's just a page or two before you go wasting hard earned money just follow the instructions to start up and I even got a copy of the thing and I got mine used and it was maybe used for a few days but it is not showing wear to the driver but I don't recommend just anyone to open up the pump for this model is a single but it's just a matter of what falling out must go back in the correct order but I just wanted to make sure that it was lubed up after knowing that it was sitting for at least six months and a few minutes and I was like why didn't you get one of these years ago and it would be great if you have mobile homes and not trying to make the siding look like it was shot at I have always had a biggest pressure washer available and if you don't need as much change the Damm nozzle but it's still a good 150+ lbs of machine and then you have hoses for the pressure side and the water and anyone who has ever had to do a few story building you are going to need to take it all because you can't have too much but I have to make an adapter for use of my quick connect hoses and wands with the screw on hose but I made a rinse wand with a wand end that you can twist it up and down works great like a water broom and I have been in the roadside piles of junk all my life and I have found about one of everything that didn't need anything but a new owner and took five minutes to get it home and not even half that to get it running and I still have that new Troy built generator please don't think that just because you have it covered that condensation is not going to be able to get in the gas especially since you have a gallon of water for every 10 gallons of fuel look it says that it is 10 % ethanol I don't think people realize how much you can do to inside of your lawnmower and other things you ask the guys who have commercial use they get the ethanol free fuel and I don't care if you don't want to use mower till next year it's going to run if you use the ethanol free fuel and regular fuel is breaking down in a few weeks not like the old days when you get a old car and start with the same fuel in it now if you know that it's been sitting just save yourself a lot of time and effort to get all the stuff in the tank out not trying to get it into the fuel injection too or carburator if you have a pre injection vehicle but up north deicer in fuel is just alcohol and if you have a bit of water and draining it isn't a option but you can add denatured alcohol and it will take care of the water 👍
does it idle down?
No, it has a manual throttle that you move up and down.
Can you adjust the nozzle output pressure on this model?
choprpilot76 you can by adjusting the rpm on the motor.
Yes. Both with the type of nozzle adapter you use (both spray and pressure at orifice is impacted), but you can also use the black pressure adjustment on the AAA itself to reduce or increase (not sure what the low end is, maybe 1/2, or 1700 PSI) the pressure of the pump.
hi I just bought me the same machine from Home Depot she looks beautiful Brighton you but I can't make it run I can't get it to start I already put the engine oil in and I put gas turn it on and it does not start is there a trick to it
Did you turn on the fuel so fuel can get to the carburetor?
Yes and the red button to on and I pull like 30 times and I turn on the show and off and it wouldn't start
I also connected the water and bleed the line and had the water on
Are you getting it to sputter at all, like you are getting spark and fuel in the motor?
The engine oil is supposed to come right at the treads of the dip stick, if you don't have enough oil in it, the engine has a low oil shutdown and won't start.
Thank you sir for a very informative clip, thumbs up!!
I just bought this a wk ago Do you think its good enough to start a business with and if so any tips or suggestions
keep the oil changed in the motor and pump! other than that, it's a great small unit for commercial use. Just take care of it and don't abuse it.
Armando Silva buy a rotating stripping nozzle to strip wooden fences and staining them. Good money there pimp. Good luck
Will this unit (3400psi) work with a surface cleaner that is rated at 3200-3300psi?
+Sierra Milano Yes, if you use a different tip than the zero degree you reduce the pressure.
Sierra Milano I used EZ clean surface cleaner. w dewalt 4200 psi turn throttle down.psi
Came to see how to start it just to be told to consult the manual I don’t have.
I am having a problem starting my De Walt 4240. I think it builds up in pressure fast and is difficult to start. any advice? am I the only one having a problem
you think it's water pressure that it is making it hard to pull start? If so, hold the wand open when you start the motor.
i just acquired one recently, i followed manual instruction to assemble after connection of water hose and pressure hose i was told told to press the gun until water comes out from the wand to free all the air in the pressure hose i dd that for almost an hour without success. is there anything else to do?
Tunji Olasupo Make sure your tip on the wand is fully inserted. You should hear air coming out. If you hear air coming out, you can start the unit at an idle and hold the wand open to try to purge faster, but if you do not get water out in less than a minute turn it off. My bet is that a tip is not inserted properly.
Where's the American engine types instead of Honda andToyota?
What work I can do ?
Great Vid! Thank you
I do not like how low those handles are. Wow.
Love2boat92 Think about it...when you’re walking with it, the handle ends up being the perfect height. If the handle was any higher at rest, you’d be dragging its feet everywhere.
El precio
will this work with a water tank?
yes, as long as it does not have to pull the water. The water would need to flow to the pressure washer on its own.
WorkshopAddict what if it’s you replace the pump with a belt drivin one?
I added about 8” of pvc water pipe ( painted black ) to the handle bcuz my foot always hit the wheel while pulling the machine. Problem solved
Dewalt pressure washers come with Honda engines
how do u plug in the water
Great review thanks a lot
where do i pour the pump oil into the pump
Where do you put the soap?
Aha!! I see!!
There is a hose that you put into your own separate soap container. Most commercial ones are like this so you can change from soap to cleaner to other items without draining the on board container. It makes it easier and you just buy the detergents needed and store them in their container.
Any tips on a relief that is continuously spraying the water out on the pump
Ashley Corleto That’s the thermal relief; when the pump starts overheating from leaving it run without spraying, it will blow out that valve to keep the pump from burning up.
Will this damage brick stone or wood fence
Yes, with the zero degree tip or using it too close with other tips could easily damage something.
I just buy one yesterday... like
Do you like and are you still happy?
Yes am happy wt my power washer ,works very wL
Beauty!!!
I have tve same but don't start and is new never use..
WorkshopAddict my friend can you help me i have the same with that but i don't know is new never used but i put gas and not start..
WorkshopAddict yes i put regular fuel
WorkshopAddict i have put 10% ithanol but where i buy that

Just do iol change as used
And the#1 killer is not putting the machine away correctly and the water inside especially if you have well water u have a concrete like substance in places where your supply is the pump burns up and then you have to get another one but it is avoidable and everywhere and the net have proper way to store for extended periods of time and winter if you don't live in Florida with the rest of us 😂 I drive all over the place and empty building everywhere but in Florida you can see 15,000 units being built in a five Mile radius and everything south of st Pete is going to be a little Miami before they get it done and don't believe me just drive 75 in afternoon or morning and sure remind me of stuck in traffic on 95 working from Palm Beach to the keys
Maybe you shouldn't wear flip flops when pressure washing... Just sayin!
+Question Mark ........ Just realized how many videos out with people wearing sandals or flip flops using pressure washers. Wow
Question Mark mind you plate! This video isn't about proper footwear
Robb brush jr. It's not but if you get distracted and take your mind off of it for even a tenth of a second then you can kiss a good chunk of your foot and your toes goodbye. So one should definitely wear the proper footwear.
Question Mark Was thinking the same thing, there's a funny (here hold my beer) joke somewhere in there.
But he ain't pressure washing, he's showing the product.
This thing is sweet
There are 5 factors to clean. Temperature is one of them. For me this pressure washer was a waste of money. You need hot water to properly clean. Good video thou.
What kind of pressure washer do you recommend to start your own business? What about the Dewalt honda gx390 4200 psi?
how many hours will it be used a week and how many hours do you think it'll be used a year in total?
+WorkshopAddict I dont really know..but I guess around 20hrs a week?
+Coogi King The Dewalt you listed will be good. Look for a commercial rated motor. If you can find one with an oil filter that would be best. Not many out there though. You want a horizontal pump that you can change oil in.
Maintenance? Hold on..getting dictionary....
Use said get hot......water what we do
The thing is a piece of junk that never starts. Biggest waste of money I've ever experienced with a tool!
