... it's privately owned... FYI: Our Federal Liberal government contributed NOTHING to the Canada Day flyover in Ottawa (over Parliament for the 100th RCAF anniversary event)... Trudeau has "other spending priorities". Great to see "VERA", the Mitchell and the newly finished Firefly visit from the CWH !
Great stuff, sat watching tv last week, at home in Roseneath when an incredible noise came from the sky directly above us. Stepped onto the deck and thought i'd gone back in time as an Avro Lancaster, a Spit and a Hurricane soared directly above us, used to be in the ATC back in England and we had a Spit in front of our building but never got a chance to see anything like what I witnessed last week 3 planes that saved the world. Thank you whoever flew them.
A few days ago I heard it coming ( I live in the south end of Ottawa, I ran in the house and yelled the Lancaster is coming, everyone came out, it went right over our house, what a thrill!
Great to see the old birds flying again. I served in the CAF/RCAF for 35 years, 1981-2016 and retired from 8 Wing Trenton, (ATESS). After having worked so many airshows, it's one thing that I don't miss.
My Dad was with 420 squadron.. Tholthorp Yorkshire..early 44 till end of hostilities one of the last to leave ..he was in the photo section there..he watched the Lacs leave..they never saw action just Helibags did..heres to the greatest generation!
This will be part of a one hour narrated recap of the show, due for release in the coming week; make sure you subscribe to see it when complete.
ACE!...Me dad was a FLT.A/N....🍁GO CANADA!🍁
I was working at the show, but so busy in Hangar 7 that I missed this flypast. Thank you for capturing it.
flyovering the Hannon farm where I lived were these birds and others...stirring events...each time...Happy Centennial, R. C. A. F.!
My uncle died last year at 102, he was a RCAF flight Instructor on Harvards. We owe a lot to that generation.
Wow. Hurricane, Spitfire and Lancaster... oh my!
Having one of the two only Lancaster's that can still fly in the world is a huge huge feather in the cap for Canada! Cheers!

EXXXXXCELLENT. Just video, and the music of flight. Thank you for this.
in tribute and memory of the thousands of RCAF members who paid the ultimate sacrifice that we could live in peace and freedom
You've captured some serious images here

The Lancaster, the B-25 and the Firefly flew over my house on the way to the way...what a thrill to see and hear them‼

That was some great photography... brilliant!
It is a shame that there are not any airworthy Typhoons.
Great video and brilliant sound well done!!
Not sure if I loved the hard banking Lanc sight, or sound, better!
Dang those Merlins
The best sounding engines ever made those RR Merlins followed second by the F1 v10/12 era
Great stuff. Weather couldn't have been better!
At least some of our culture and heritage was able to be displayed.
Will there be an Airshow Dispatches on this? looks like it was a great show
There certainly will be!
Asking permission to use the Lancaster flyby clip for a video on the Saskatoon visit today - full credit, of course.
Subbed, btw lol
I was there. I just was hoping for some high speed passes...but regardless, awesome seeing these old birds
That peel at the 5:40 mark was nice!
What is the model with the extended canopy? Looks like a dive bomber
Firefly Mk.VI - not a dive bomber, but a carrier-based fighter and anti-submarine platform.
@@ThisisFlight cool thanks! The big flaps had me thinking.
They were flying over my home for more than half an hour at the 2015 day of the election with Humvees riding on the highways
