You don't hear BTS anywhere near as much as you would if they were a western band that was as big as they are. They get almost no radio play in the US at all. Still killing the charts, still the biggest group in the world, period, and still well on their way to being the most awarded artists in history....even though radio play is a big part of the US charts. BTS steamrolls everyone else.

Not sure if your subtitles are on because you smirked when Suga rapped "Sorry mum, your son is so killing it" 😂 Not only do their songs sound good, dance choreography fire, and MVs impressive but their lyrics mean something. This was their final farewell to their haters. BTS got a lot of hate right from their debut, RM and Suga came from the underground rap scene and their former "friends" turned on them when they debuted as a KPop idol group. The group were told they would fail becsuse they came from a small company, Big Hit, and not one of the big 3 companies. There were many other hateful things that happened, too many to get into here. This song is BTS saying that haters will always hate, they don't even need to hear an apology now. In the video, when RM raps Mic Drop Bam, he finger guns the haters (people wearing black hoodies) who fall down. Their songs are so fire that the car explodes and their buring haters fall from the sky in flames. Live performances are even better, one of my favourites is the MAMA 2017 performance. Songs like DDAENG is a witty cztchy diss track with DAENG having 7 different meanings. Spring Day Video is referencing the Sewel Ferry scandal where over 30o hundred young teenagers died because of corruption and a complete lack of desire to save them. In fact most of the ones saved from the slowly sinking ship were by civilians. The coast guard tried to prevent this. Even slit the hoses of civilian divers trying to save children from air locks. Except for the happy cheer you up after lockdown songs like DYNAMITE, BUTTER, IDOL etc would benefit with explaination videos. Especially the Rap artists in BTS. We eill happily sit through both reactions.

The original version, which came out six years ago, is pretty similar, but then Steve Aoki asked if they’d allow him to remix it for another release. They changed a few lyrics and added more English, but the song sounds pretty similar. RM told Steve Aoki when they talked at the Grammys that it was their first real collaboration. When it got released, the song became the number one song on iTunes in 80 countries in less than 24 hours. It lifted their worldwide profile considerably.
