For me Space Quest 3 is the best overall. Second is SQ 4 which is the best looking one, then it is between the OG version of SQ 1 and SQ V. Obviously V had better graphics than the first instalment but there is a sense of suspense and mystery to the first game that was never really replicated. I like SQ II a lot but it felt a little like an upgraded version of the first.
I think that SQ 3 3D project has been abandoned now i dont think anything is been done with it. I believe the Space Quest Historian is currently working on a VGA fan remake of SQ 3
Hi Calculon. SQ3D is abandoned by the creator, however it is open sourced. His work is available for anyone to finish and he's offered to assist. I'm hoping that someone will carry the project through 😃
@@AdventureGameHotspot I liked it quite a bit. My dad still says ,"You go now and I don't rearrange your organs" from time to time and Stooge Fighter is a classic. The voice acting especially worked for me.
I dream of 3D space quest 3 Monolith Burger and i want to eat a delicious orat burger. I really hope in the future a space Monolith Burger exists in orbit
There should be a separate mention between sq4 disk and cd rom versions. The cd rom had timing issues with for example the sequel police. The disk version did not, so I liked the disk version better.
When I was a kid I did think we could use ai to change rocks water pixel by pixel with the image from cgi to irl from a database of pixel images, i did see tech demo pictures that move around pixels to look like a movie you play. i also did think ai could take 2d and make it 3d , i was thinking by 2007 anyone could do this.
outer space isn't real, it's fake. we don't live on a spinning ball. Space Quest 1 was my favorite game over 35 years ago. I was so young, so naive. this game was so exhausting, but it was very satisfying to finish it. the programmers of this game, did they know in the 80's that the earth is flat? I don't think so, but I could be wrong. that's it, thanks for uploading the video.
@@AdventureGameHotspot Not too sure to be honest, I think 5 is the one that I never played that much, I just think it never ended up in my gaming reoitoire :)
Space Quest IV was utter junk, especially compared to Space Quest III. It had its fair share of funny moments, like the Epi-Whip 3000 (?) and the video game store bargain bin, but other than that, it's garbage. Literally no time to think in that game, and God forbid you make even the tiniest mistake and forget to write down a time code. Belongs at the bottom with the Rock'em Sock'em Minigame from SQIII.
I will never play the later space quest games (4, 5 and 6) for one reason alone: The narrator is extremely annoying. He put me totally of playing the games.

Wow the SQIII remake looks amazing
I hope someone follows through on it. Looking forward to episode 12 of Gabriel Knight 1981
Space Quest V was the best in my opinion, although i loved the time-travel in SQIV. But SQV had an amazing plot and characters and jokes.
33 years since I played sq3 and I found an tie fighter easter egg. 3:29
Haha. What is your favorite SQ game?
That Space Quest 3 fan-made remake looks amazing, but Roger looks like he injured his neck.
Space Quest V was probably my favorite as a kid and the Galactic Inquirer is still the best copyright protection ever!
What did you think of 6?

Also, I recall seeing this video many years ago! good to see its' coming along!
Thanks so much Ross. I appreciate you so much Ross. I hope 3 3D gets picked up too ⏯️

Nice comparison and great work on the editing. I subscribed!
Thanks a ton CRT. I appreciate the kind words and the discussion. See you in the next video 😊
SQ4, I agree. That color pallet for its time, the humor and sound, amazing.
*palette, not pallet (crater, cargo)
Slash Vohaul =/= Sludge Vohaul
Awesome video and great list!
Personaly i would push SQ3 up one place but thats just me :D
Great work!
Thanks a ton Spiekland RC. What is your number one?
@@AdventureGameHotspot Also IV!🥰 It’s just to perfect with all the references and jokes 😃❤️
Space Quest III For me. It was unique. I like those cartoons graphics.
SQ1 original being rated lowest is... misguided.

Mask of Eternity doesn't have anything to do with the Space Quest series
To be fair it doesn't really have anything to do with the KIng's Quest series either lol
LOL. I used some dialogue form the Kings Quest list and forgot to snip that. EEK.
itd game i have all there Space Quest games on cd
No one mentioning Space Quest 6, still my favourite, then 4 then the others :)
What’s your thoughts on 5?
