This is a great video tailored for getting used to the Graphene OS on your pixel phone. I have been planning on giving it a go on my 7 pro and will eventually get around to it. I will probably still use some of Google's services on it but what's nice is that you can sandbox the Google apps in Graphene which allows more control over the permissions those apps have versus what they can do being embedded in the stock Android OS.
In a world of countless sites you are a rare source that combines product knowledge with a educational foundation. The apps you mentioned were Spot on and a remarkable tool belt work with. A rare brick in the wall of a privacy driven tapestry to build in. Kudos, bravo, I hit the subscribe button & will research other videos to review. With respect Achilles.
I'll save this video for later, when I'm ready to transition. Thank you so much for this video as it is quite time consuming to find good alternatives!
I moved my Grandmothers pixel 4a over and decided to use a lot of googles apps as blocking spam calls and texts was more important to her than cutting google out 100% even with Google play services and google photos her battery life is drastically better than it was on stock android, she's now charging her phone every 6 days compared to every day.
Thank a lot for your videos and channel, one of the few covering these things have you happened to check out the google camera port that they suggest with fairphones? I noticed huge improvements in image quality over open-camera even on a non-pixel device, and the app shouldn't be able to connect to the internet
What do people have against websites - why an app for everything? Is it too dangerous to use a browser for weather info? Which websites are good/bad? Oh man... you didn't put a link in the video to getting a visa card.
Apple iPhone or any Standard Google Android phone. "Spy phone" as opposed to De-Googled privacy phone as you will be relentlessly spied on when you use a spy phone.
just installed Graphene OS for the first time today ... this is SUPER helpful for a non-techy person like me :) ... thank you!
I'm glad it was useful. Thanks for watching.

Thanks! You can make Google apps use safer by denying network access to them.

Don't wait too long! Life is more private on this side 😀

The first thing I noticed when dumping normal spy Android was that the battery life almost doubled. Which OS did you install in her phone?
@@privacyproshop GrapheneOS as that's what I run on my phone as well.
Thank you so much for making this video!
You are so welcome!

I have not. Do you have a link to more information about it?
If you have GrapheneOS you might as well use Google Speech Synthesis TTS and just deny it network access. RH Voice is not good.
RH voice sounds like a robot at best. But, I put up with it as it allows me to avoid another thing from Google.

Bro herewego maps includes a facebook tracker no im not using that .... why? Thats not private
Block all network access for HereWeGo and it won't track anything. The tracker is called Facebook Login. If you don't log into FB, it won't do much.
What is a spy phone?
