    That wasn't a demonstration, that was an occupation, that was a criminal act.

    Frankly i find ridiculous, they needed to find a peaceful solution, they were illegally occupying the campus, there is no peaceful solution, by occupying they are committing violence, you deal with that with force.

    Good job. Finally. They made their point and I think the public listened, which is all they have a right to.
    The public doesnt have to agree or supoort their cause. They don't own that right.
    This is not Palestine, this is not Israel; as much as you can feel empathy and a need to intervene/participate. The Palestine and Israel situation is THEIR problem to sort out.

    Who determines when the right to protest ends?

    • @emartinezr
      @emartinezr Месяц назад +4

      In this case, i guess the city and the courts did. Likely supported by law; and if they think laws were broken, they can sue. Because their rights to protest ends when it encroaches in other people's rights. For example, the right for students to have a place to study without it being a volatile protest zone. The right of people to circulate and use a public space without it being occupied by hundreds who are not just temporarily there. They are occupying that public space 24/7.
      The right to protest means a right to speak their mind and to be heard. Not to be catered to. They don't have the right to force what others think or what others do about the issue they are protesting for.

      Imagine having a “tantrum” over 10’s of thousands of innocent children being murdered with the help of the Trudeau government. Obviously their right to live ends when snowflakes get offended by a protest. Is that your point? Do you need a safe space now?
