Just love the 3406 sound. Others sound awesome too but there is just something about that sound of the 3406 that makes my blood going faster. No straight pipes for me in Germany unfortunately. Those Euro trucks would sound nice too. Was delivering fuel to a truck stop one day when a Dutch came along with his old Volvo that had and exhaust flap installed so he could go straight or legal and boy this big straight six sounded mean

Same here, this is my second vid watched & am sticking round. The blue LED accents are done to death these days but not for nothing, they do look great.

This might be a really dumb question but how do you shift so fast? I just started to drive a 13 speed and I'm getting the hang of floating, but it seems the only way I can get it buttery smooth is by shifting like you are at 14:13.
You can shift as fast as the trans lets you. just take your time until you get the hang of the gear timing
This isn’t fast shifting, this is moderate and precise shifting

You can see the torque steer from the engine and it bends slightly on acceleration… diesel power baby

Sorry for the stupid question but I'm French and I don't know nothing about US Truck, So you don't have a clutch ? I never see the foot on the clutch, can someone explain that to me please ?
Truck transmissions here in the US are non synchronized so you can shift gears without using the clutch as long as you time it perfectly. We use the cluch only from a stop

That rubber was not primed that's why it doesn't stick ,seen it a million times ! Right from factory these installs were a issue for Kenworth
Just a random question why do you pull it out of gear when splitting each gear in high range? I mean from what I can see you have an 18 speed road ranger?
On this videos it's a 13 speed. Taking it out and back in eliminates a chance of a false neutral
@@TruckingPassion fair call so only high range splits no low range. not that ive ever needed low range splits.
Yup, even now that I have an 18 speed in it 99.9% of the time I shift it like a 13 speed

I thought u had to have a curtin cdl for specific trucks?? When I got my cdl it was for automatic when I went to drive a manual they said I didn't have the right cdl. Nice sun roof

@@TruckingPassion don’t blame you , love that jakebrake , on our buses the exhaust brake have gone now and moved to an electric brake in the gearbox slowing down the prop shaft . , it’s fully automatic and very affective.

Im a european truck driver , my horse its a Scania r620 v8 from 2007 so a old rig , while i love American trucks i think after few hours i couldnt drive them anymore , while the sound its amazing after while gets annoying , happy trucking men!
