Even broken, you can sell these things for like $300 on Ebay. Operational ones are going for $600. These things have held their value because they were only manufactured for a few years. Unfortunately I have a bunch of videos that I can't watch.
You can often get IP5 or IP7 with a failed CCD fairly cheaply, which can playback tapes fine,so you can watch your videos, but will only record sound with no picture. The CCD can be replaced but it is soldered in and is hardly worth the bother.
Hello John Han. I have this camera stored for some time and now it plays blur. I dont have the cleaning cassette. Can you help instruct me how to clean the heads ? Cheers! many thanks!
Mine has been broken for like 3 years, the cassette compartment doesn't retract back into the casing and I can't close the battery holder back in because of this... This seems like something for an computer designer to do... won't try it, I don't even have a sodder thing so f it. I'll just smash it up lol.
@Thetruthishere11 I disagree. THe music, loud, and not needed, yes, but all you have to do is turn the volume down and use the pause button to do the step by step visualization. It's all there under 10 minutes, that was the point I'm sure.
Im sorry but i agree, the video is useless...if you really want to help the bunch of unaffortunates that have this issue and have to do it ourselves, please do the following: 1. make the video slower...man, youtube its free... they dont charge you by the time.. 2. please explain what you are doing, step by step, so we can see the parts and the entire process.. 3. thell us were can we find the replacement parts... ist a hard task , even for a webmaster... Thanks in advanced..
I have this issue with mine. I can get lucky and get it to work once in awhile. This looks wayyy to complicated. Can I ship you mine to fix and pay you? LOL

@pbchac I'm using JVC KYODO-SH-JB
I have a Rolex that needs to be cleaned and oiled, Do you think you can do it. I am sure it has about 50 parts less than this camera.
