I´m impressed. As a psychotherapist it´s always interesting to see people who actually do follow their dream. Many have big dreams but only a few actually go through with them. Kudos to you for doing that. You have chosen one of Nordics best university when it comes to Humaniora. Good luck to you. PS. Your German Shephard is adorable.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment and for watching!🥹 For me, I believe this stems from my parents, who always empowered me to feel confident in my abilities, make my own decisions and trust myself. They always reminded me that they would be there to catch me if I fall, and that falling is perfectly fine as long as you’re learning, growing, and displaying humility. I actually talk about the topic of following one’s dreams in my next vlog coming out on Monday! And yes, Lund is incredible! I am very grateful for the opportunity to learn here. Also thank you from me and May😊🐾
@@sarahelizabethbass Having good parents is a definit bonus, however you still have to do the work yourself. Feels like your parents have done the same thin we did to our kids, help them to do it and not do it for them. One of the single biggest mistake parents do to their kids nowadays. Kids will never feel the empowering feeling of succeeding if they never fail. All luck , and skill, to you (and your good parents). Henrik
@ Thank you so much, I truly appreciate it! And well said! Nothing could’ve prepared me for the amount of growth I’ve experienced in my 20s😅 It sounds like you are a great dad😊 I’ll pass the kind words along to my parents!
As you might already have discovered, Sweden is CLOSED in the summer. In July and August most big cities are *empty* except maybe tourists, becase everyone in Sweden has at least 25 days of vacation every year and most people take at least 20 of them in the summer. Which means people are out traveling or visiting their summer cottages at the height of summer. It's hard to get anything done except relaxing as well. So plan accordingly! If you want to be around people in the summer, you need to go where the Swedes go in the summer. Like Gotland, Öland, or perhaps much closer to you, Österlen in Skåne (to the southeast of where you are now). Or to the north of you. Like the Archipelago of Gothenburg on the west coast...
That said, Malmö centrum is in my experience jam-packed with people through the summer - tourists, locals enjoying the summer events, that kind of thing. Lots of concerts, there's at least two festivals, etcetera. The outer areas aren't as full of stuff happening. For a day off at the beach reachable in less than an hour's bus ride, Falsterbo has some wonderful beaches and isn't too far from the city. ...and yes, Österlen is wonderful but a bit of a tourist trap these days. I should know, I grew up there (when it was mostly fishing and industry, now it's tourism pays their bills).
@@Jonteponte71 Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment and all of the great advice!😊 I arrived in early August so I got a bit of the Malmö Festivalen craziness! However a lot of friends have mirrored what you said, emphasizing that people leave to their summer homes and go on long vacations! Thanks for watching!🙏🏾

Welcome to Sweden, Malmö! Love your energy. Did not know there were apartments in that building.. I pass that building more or less daily and always thought it was just for offices. Nice catch getting that one. Do you have a whole apartment or just renting a room or something else? I look forward to see more of your videos.
Thank you so much for the kind words and warm welcome!😊 Yes, it seems that if you’re in Gamla Staden, they’re impossible buildings to miss! One tower is offices and one is residential, and I was only staying short term as I got established here! Thanks for watching😊
Moving to Sweden from abroad it can be quite difficult to get to know people unless you have a connection or "in" there. But you are studying so i think you will do fine, socializing thru the studentlife! The south is really nice in the spring and summer too!!
@@reallivebluescat I’ve definitely picked up on/heard this from many people living here, it’s so interesting! Steep hill? In Malmö? Never heard of any such thing! 🙂 One good start of life in Sweden is to check out the letters used in Sweden but not in the US: å, ä, and ö. They are NOT pronounced as a, a and o and as long as you get that wrong people will have trouble understanding if you e.g. ask for the way. Personally, I would choose Lund over Malmö any day of the week but it may be easier to find a room in Malmö. Harder to walk the dog though. Sibbarp may be an option

Great question! I speak to this a little bit in the description of my first vlog😊 Moving here was an amazing, although crazy process. When I first got here I was extremely busy with school events, new friends, and settling in. I also wanted to ensure that I actually learned how to film, utilize editing software, avoid copyright claims, etc etc prior to posting, so that I could really pursue this thoughtfully and consistently🙏🏾 I spent the beginning of my time here just being present, being sure to capture everything, and learning. Now I have lots of cool content to share and have properly found my rhythm!✨
