The more Fury fights I watch the more I realize his jab is sneaky vicious and sets the tone for the entire exchanges. Old Man Foreman had a slower, much more powerful jab, but those two are my favorite and their are parellels.
It seems that Fury, as he progressed in his career, more and more developed that stuttering stance and attack which confused his opponents so much. I mean that if you look at this and then his battle with Deontay Wilder, his spasmodic, hesitant....almost spastic style of confusion was developed. Absolutely brilliant. It looks ridiculous, but was tremendously effective.
one of the imfamous 'latvian lemmings' as an article in boxing news once described them. i believe ive also seen him as a referee for fights on the shows at the infamous club rings riga which footage shows as taking part in a gym with no crowd and only other fighters on the bill watching,
lol they tend to drag them over to the UK regularly for up and coming prospects to feast on. But conversely then you've got the likes of Latvians like WBC cruiserweight champ Mairis Briedis who is the polar opposite of those journeymen (or Lemmings lol) that turn up on UK shores.
