25 minutes of film, John was beaten and humiliated, but without doing anything, they give us to understand that he is the biggest bad ass. Sublime scene
He was depressed, out of shape and almost suicidal.. So he wasn't exactly john wick.. In fact we still don't see the full John wick in effect since in the three movies everyone agrees he is not completely out of retirement..
I find it hilarious that Iosef's reaction mirrors Viggo's a few scenes before. "He stole John Wick's car and killed his dog, sir." "....*Oh.*" And now: "He is the one you send to kill the fucking boogeyman." "...*Oh*."
+Matheus Arruda I had thoughts about those exact two scenes. Well three to be exact. The first one was Aurelio demanding to know where he got the car and the look of fear on his face when asking about the car. My first thought was, "That might have been a bad idea". Second was the first "Oh". Thought was "Ok, now I think it might have been a big mistake. The second "Oh", I realized "You complete an utter moron you are for doing that, you just signed your death wish and should consider thinking about a fitting epitaph." :P
There is so much symbolism going on in this scene. John Wick is literally and figuratively unburying the man he used to be. The rage of the act shows how angry he is about being forced to do this, but his pain over his wife and the symbol for her that was his dog will not let him keep his old life buried anymore. There is some damn good film making going on in what could have been a very formulaic revenge picture. I cannot wait for the sequel.
Heres a fun fact for you by the way, one of the trainers for Keanu (in regards to John Wick 2) was going to be teaching him "The 3 gun trial", essentially, the shooter fires at multiple targets, drops the first weapon, grabs another, fires again, drops the second weapon, picks up a third weapon and fires at more targets, all timed. When the Trainer came back from the first sessions, apparently he said something to the tune of "he could be shooting on a competitive level already, he hardly needs my help", Keanu Reeves is NOT a man I would want to cross in a dark alleyway.
Exhausted Elox Also, him literally crushing the ground of his basement is also symbolic of him dismantling the Russian crime family piece by piece. There was mention that the "bodies he buried that day laid the foundation" to their enterprise.
I love this movie. And this part of the movie when Vigo is explaining the Baba Yaga, and the boy goes he is the boggie man. No he is the one we sent to kill the F***ing boggie man, and the boys response Oh...lmao
find it kind of funny that Wick made that organization what it was upon leaving... then destroyed it upon returning... Corpses to start, corpses to end.
The tarasov mob is still active, is severely weakened thanks to John actions but its not entirely destroyed. Now the one running the organitzation is Viggo's brother
+jeff the RE fan yea a prequel explaining johns character more. where he came from and how he got so bad ass, plus the job vigo gave him to let him go would be epic!!! although the mystery surrounding it kind of leaves it to your imagination and adds to it a little bit I think. either way it would still be epic!
"It's not what you did, it's who you did it to..." I'd be thinking what he did would have something to do with it too. Iosef was the heir-apparent to the Tanarov Empire, he could've bought a dozen hemi's out of the familys spare cash, and he's out breaking into houses and stealing cars like some two-bit street punk. If I was his father I'd be taking him behind the woodshed well before he crossed paths with John Wick.
they could definitely make a pretty good prequel to john wick around the impossible task he pulled off for Vigo and how he meet his wife and other things
My favorite part about this movie and the second one is when characters even say the persons name it feels like a force hit them all in the face they all get terrified and these movies show that sooo well it just makes John look so badass ( sorry if that’s a basic viewpoint)
I Bloody love this movie everyone gave it shit because they didn't understand that it was an action movie not a bloody soap opera and that's why everyone needs to grow a pair and enjoy a bloody good action movie.
I still don't understand why he didn't just give up his son as a statement too everyone else what happens when you endanger his business or organization. He should've given his son some knockout drops and delivered him to Wick, wrapped up in pink ribbons.
+Dreez76 Because regardless of how much of a disappointing idiot Iosef is he's still his son. No father worth the name would ever give up their son that easily
+Dreez76 ...yes.He was his son,he couldn't just give him up.Plus, surrendering something that belongs to him, would make him look wick..err,i men weak. And he would lose all respect and favor amongst his co-workers.His underlings. And that would be the end of him, since any sign of weakness would cause a war.Anyone with a little ambition would try to replace him.
And that's exactly why we have spoiled kids all over the world today. Rich arrogant kids waving their cash all over place because their parents don't discipline them when they make mistakes. The least his father could do was put him in cuffs and have his men drag his sorry piece of ass to Wick and have his son kneel in front of him and sincerely apologize. Whether or not Wick is going to forgive the brat, that was the right thing to do. He shouldn't have let his son go and allow other men to die for his son's mistakes which ultimately led to his downfall as well.
0:26 I love how literally everything is so well placed. As Viggo puts on his coat the other guy standing there staring down with his eyes in the shadow of his brow looks so menacing
He killed three men with a pencil. Jack Reacher, Bryan Mills, and William Munney all put together. You killed his dog, you don't screw with a man's dog.
As much as I would enjoy it, it is better to keep it a mystery. It adds more to the character and the mythos. Learning every detail about a person makes them usally less interesting. Let us wonder.
... As a father its hard, but image knowing your son is gonna die either while your protecting him or him running... You fucked up son. There's no hiding from him.
After explaining as plainly as I can something very basic to a new employee who's been working long enough to already know it and who no less than an hour later fucks up what I just explained... 3:12

Kontgat iets xD

"He's the one to send in to kill the fucking boogie man!" Lol such an epic script and scene.
Moral is: Don't fuck with no body. Because they might be somebody you shouldn't fuck with.
+Genni G Fox Sing it sista...
Yeah man you are very correct.....same thing 2 people are gonna learn from me in a year or so......im the boogey man for em'
I would have lost it if he opened up that case and there was just a pencil in there 😂😂
Hahahaha!
now thats a smartass comment there.
Bruh😂😂😂😂
A fuckin pencil!
John:”this will surely enough “
Man Viggos acting in that movie is flawless...
"What Tha, didn't he hear a Fuckn word I said?"
Love that part
Every parent ever.
Love how he hugs his son already knowing he ain’t ever seeing him again
Tyler Miller hug of death
I’d do the same if my (nonexistent) son did son shit like that
You don’t kill a man s dog above all else
"john will come for you" scary ass scene your mob boss dad tells you I can't protect u

+Exhausted Elox its going to be sooooo epic. Especially with the underground world

Bravo to Keanu. Poured his soul into this role and executed to perfection
RIP Michael. He was phenomenal as Vigo.
find it kind of funny that Wick made that organization what it was upon leaving... then destroyed it upon returning...

He killed three men with a pencil? I would have love to see that scene.

+Tyler Valentine (slayer-man777) he means..

they might do that if they make a prequel ;)
+jeff the RE fan yea a prequel explaining johns character more. where he came from and how he got so bad ass, plus the job vigo gave him to let him go would be epic!!! although the mystery surrounding it kind of leaves it to your imagination and adds to it a little bit I think. either way it would still be epic!

+peter müller not really hard anymore i imagine...
+phlanxxx09 BAHAHA GOOD ONE XD
he still had a cock here
No wonder he looked familiar haha fucking coward
True
"john will come for you". I love that quote, the tone is just perfect and badass as hell
The best character Keanu Reeves ever played.
Would be nice a movie about john wick training and see how he became such a badass and see that impossible task he made to leave that life behind
The point being is that the son thinks he can do anything, on top of seeing a pretty damn nice car that you don't usually see just on any corner.
I knew a woman like his son she's dead now
Beat the snot out of the kid each time he robs some place. "You're not some two-bit street punk! You're a Tanarov!"
That’s mercy for killing anyone’s dog
But I gotta agree 110%
If not , we wouldn't have the movie.
they could definitely make a pretty good prequel to john wick around the impossible task he pulled off for Vigo and how he meet his wife and other things
+marcus caesar maybe we'll see how to kill three man with a fuckin pencil ✏ 😂😂😂
+Deuxieme “Latrell Ashat” Fois 🍺✏️⚰⚰⚰
jeff the RE fan yeah and title is JOHN WICK :The Impossible Task
Would of been better than the attempt at number 2
Too bad. The man who played Vigo is dead.

“Well John wasn’t exactly the boogieman”
“He was the one who was sent to kill the fucking boogieman”
Sleep so well Michael! You will be missed.
This one stayed in my head
"oh" is the last words of someone who fucks with wick
the rest was "fuck"
This was a hell of a good story. I've seen the second too but can't wait to see the 3rd installment movie of John Wicks next May 2019
When he opens the crate I thought there would be a pencil
... A fuckin pencil 😂😂😂😂
Deuxieme Fois yes
Lol

The soundtrack is amazing
You strike the wick you shall burn
You kill his dog... St. Peter has to stay late on the clock
Anyone else get the chills when Viggo tells his son "John will come for you"?
So I have now learn't that "El Cuco" is Boogeyman. Lol
+Exile 89 ha I learned that too hahahhaa
LOl same
Even in Spanish we don't really use "El Cuco"... so Idon´t know how they get that translation...
I laughed too jajaja
I've always heard it was "cucuy."
"El viejo de la bolsa" was too long
Holy shit, the "impossible task" sounds like it could be a movie all on its own
I Bloody love this movie everyone gave it shit because they didn't understand that it was an action movie not a bloody soap opera and that's why everyone needs to grow a pair and enjoy a bloody good action movie.
"Didn't he hear a fucking word I said?"
Every parent with a teenager child.
"You will do nothing, because you can do nothing."
How awesome is that line?
3:10 The boy didn’t here his dad at all.😂😂😂 Vigo’s reaction after his son said By finishing what he started.
"I gave him an impossible task" - Kill six men in a bar with an eraser.
Nitesh Goolab lolllllll
Nah, he killed 8 men in a bar with a paper clip.
I still don't understand why he didn't just give up his son as a statement too everyone else what happens when you endanger his business or organization. He should've given his son some knockout drops and delivered him to Wick, wrapped up in pink ribbons.
If it is as you say, then the movie gonna end, and 0 kills, 0 fights.... 😂 😂 😂 😂

We need a John Wick spinoff about the impossible job.
I don't think it could ever be as good as what is left to the imagination.

Liam!!
