I just found your channel and I’m absolutely in love with your momma. If she is strong enough you can install a bar that hangs from the ceiling on a rope so she can pull herself up in bed. This helps her stay strong and give her the ability to sit herself up or adjust herself a bit in bed. It’s kinda like a trapeze. I installed one for my grandparents when they were bed ridden and it helped them not get bed sores and adjust themself to lay or sit. Hope that helps ❤ keeping you and your momma in my prayers 💐🌸🌷🙏

My mom was in a wheelchair most of my life, so I can relate to your video more than you know ... I love my mom and miss her so much .. again grateful to have crossed your RUclips... Hiy Hiy Goodman.
Your mum really touched my heart. She reminds me of my grandma. I cared for my mum and grandma when I was younger. I moved back to our rez a while ago and got 5 good years to reconnect with my dad. I looked after him for a while, then my sister took over the care management. I learned that you need a team and you can't do it all yourself. I also learned that medical facilities can be nice one minute then can be racist as f..k and don't let them bully you or blame you for anything. Also, anything you sign, ask for a copy to keep in your mum's files just in case. They are just there for the money and to cover their liability. As her Power of Attorney you are responsible to act in her best interest and to use her money in her best interest, but you are not responsible for her debts personally. Check with a lawyer. I'm also Ojibwe. I live in eastern Ontario, Canada. Good luck with your new house.

Man it's hard work and draining I can't imagine doing it all by myself. I never go to pow wows my neighbors do go all over tho he's about to get more leather and head up north for the Maniwaki pow wow

Love the new home and so happy your mom is with you there. In the state I live in the disabled person is able to have home health care paid for by the state and a family member can be hired to do that. That would be great if you had that option.
Thanks.. but my mom receives veteran benefits and social security.. I now manage the funds and accept it because I'm her power of attorney. Any of those other options would take all her money and give me a filtered down lesser amount.. as for a home aid, it would be the same option. They'd take all her money than we'd have less income for expenses. They sound like good ideas but they're not a help at all.

I just recently moved. The house and city was Amazing but the Owners Housing caretakers were ineffective and never fixed issues. I now decided to move close to my own Tribal Reservation and the City doesn’t look like anything I remember. I live next to my Sister and my Ex In-laws. Our housing cost is higher but not for me personally…the yard is larger but in some ways smaller. Our Community is so quiet 🤐. It’s nice though because I’m outside of my hometown and I can see people I haven’t seen in 8 years. Praying for you and yours. Mom looks great.

Moving sucks. I feel ya. Landlords need to do better. Sorry you had to experience a bad one. It would be one thing if the work their contractors did was high quality. Then a rent increase might be justified (a reasonable one at least), but to have shoddy work done and then jack it up so much? Not cool. Hopefully the new place is better for you and your family.
Yeah, the new place is good. I actually recorded myself telling about alot of the disrespect and plenty of other things the landlords didn't do or sick to their end of the lease agreements. But I figured I'd leave it out of this video. I'm glad to finally be gone from that place
I have long covid & feel asking Jesus grandmother to pray with me, helped. when two or three gathered together in My name, I am there. Matthew 18:20. Removed "bindings" of modern medicine attitude, so have more comfort. Reduced bad spiritual interference to find a place, crops, animals, or person to take judgement they feel, so evil gets heard. But to my faith, feel God the Grandfather only wants that to fall on His Sacrifice. Hope other saints come together to help heart needs of family & heaven prayers help your family with happy tribe responsibilities for land & remembering good ancestors.
Hey, for your clothes get some of the big clear bags from a bottle redemption center. Sometimes they’ll give you a few for free if you ask nicely. Just poke a small hole in the seam end and poke your hangers through. It protects all your clothes from dust and moisture but you can still SEE them. 😎🥼👕👖

I moved to Iowa, they don't have any rez here.. I just found out.. some live about 45 minutes away from me. I'll have to check out their powwow.
