Haha, I get that. They’re super fun cars and I’m glad you decided to watch my video. And I hope after 2 years you’re still enjoying it. Now I need to remake the horrible ZL1 video that I did a couple years ago now. 🥸
I know what you mean. I have a 22 Supra 3.0 Premium, and I'm always watching Supra reviews like I'm some prospective buyer. Just means we made the right decision😁 I was looking at the SS when I was shopping. I like it a lot, but I ultimately went with the Supra because I prefer the look, and I've always been a JDM/import guy. The SS and ZL1 are amazing cars though, so I still like watching reviews on them even though I love my Supra.
I own a V6 and V8 5th gens and they are some of the most well engineered and constructed products GM ever produced. I think the main reason they were discontinued was they are seen as the biggest competitor to the Corvette.
That’s awesome, I’m glad you’ve enjoyed each of them! I miss my 4th gen, I owned that before I started doing anything with RUclips. It would be fun to get another one and do a bigger build then the first one.
Probably the Transformers movie haha. Yeah, the Dodge cars and the Mustangs have had their own commercials but GM has really dropped the ball with their performance division outside of Corvette.
I remember one. In 93'-94'. A commercial of two young boys where one was staying over the others house and they were playing a game of guessing the carmaker based on just hearing the exhaust. The kid gets all the answers right, including the new for 93'-94' Z28. Then his friend asks him "OK, but what's the color then?" lol Seriously, check it out.
I am sad that GM stopped making Camaros. I was looking forward to the 7th Gen back then but it is now wishful thinking. 😢 I currently have a 2021 Camaro in the 3.6L engine and it is the best handling car I have to date and at that price point.
I had a 2013 Camaro convertible, loved it but top problems. I spent 400 bucks between two dealerships, still had a slight rattle, traded it in for 2018 RS hardtop, in Hyper blue with 20s. Harsh ride and hard to get in and out in parking lot. I traded it in. I drive a 2017 Challenger SRT392 & love it!
I think the 2019-2024 Camaro has a very modern front & back end design and quite muscular too! It eventually grows on you. Whenever any design comes out for the first time, people either love it or hate it. Same goes for the S550 Mustang when it came out. A lot of hardcore Mustang fans hated the looks, but eventually ended up buying it coz that was the latest and the most modern Mustang. The 2016-18 Camaros had a front & back end design that was praised for that time. However, times change and so do designs.
Nice! Yeah, in my area these don’t hook on the street and then when they have traction they don’t accelerate nearly as hard because of less oxygen dense air at the altitude I test at. A Hellcat car or supercharged 5.0 regular can F-150 barely hits 4.1 true times haha.
I like and highly respect the Camaro and would’ve bought one as my 2nd option if I didn’t buy a Mustang for whatever reason. I do not regret going with a V8 Mustang instead though for several reasons. Both are great cars and it’s a matter of personal preference
That’s awesome!! My FBO LS1 TA in our elevation on “private road” couldn’t get past a 13.9 @ like 102 I think but also it was almost 25 years old at the time.
As for front ends, the 2019👎. 2020-2024 looks cartoonish, so that leaves 2016-2018 as the best looking. As voted at a local car show between a 2016 and 2021, almost 3 to 1
We see Mustangs in Australia Don't see many Camaros though I know GM has a reputation for cheapness in how they equip the cabin. To me its a better looking car than the Mustang.
Yes there are a few V8 Holdens around Will be collectables one day. There was a time for V8s in Australia for its towing power and performance. GM is trying to get a presence back in Australia. The Caddy is supposed to return after 60 years.
I didn't like the way i felt in the Camaro as far comfort and the ability to see out of the car.. It just felt like it had way to many blind spots.. Still a very nice car though for sure..
Chevy always does this with the Camaro's.. They will bring them out for 10 years and then stop making them. And then 10 years from now they will make them again..
Lol!! U never drove one because the first gen and 2nd feel antique after no comparison. Looks wise to me my 6 gen is one of the best looking cara of all time definitely not ugly idk how anyone could say that.
After GM cancelled Pontiac I left them forever. Look at Ford now, still making the Mustang GT V8 non-electric... I was a Trans-Am guy all through high-school in the 80's and had an LS1 Trans Am in the early 2000's... let's face it, Ford won the Pony Car wars. And GM are idiots for cancelling Pontiac. If you were a Chevy guy, it is a sad day for you as well at this point.
Absolutely agree, thanks for sharing this. And with GM shutting down the Holden division in Australia a few years ago. I also use to love GM V8’s and owned an LS1 TA. Ford did win, but after driving the new S650 2024+ Mustang GT I don’t think it’s a better car than this. At least not more fun. It feels way too big and heavy, IMO.
The government thought GM had too many divisions so made them drop Pontiac to be able to get a loan from them, do some research, wanted them to drop GMC as well but where able to skirt that.
Every time I see a Camaro I can't tell if its an SS or like a base model. I have to squint to see the tiny weirdly placed badge on the back. I can't be the only one. These cars just seem so cheap and bland compared to the Challenger and Mustang. The back looks like a Chevy Malibu and the front is not much better after years of redesigns. It's funny because it's probably the best one to drive but looks are important to me.
Haha, you’re not alone. Unless it’s a ZL1 I also squint and look for the badge. The 16-19s had a pretty good looking front end IMO. And these 6th gen’s are hands down the best to drive. They’re literally leagues ahead in handling compared to the 5th gen’s and the 4th gen equivalent of what my Trans Am was. Thanks for watching!!
I currently own a '19 Mustang GT. If they redesigned the Camaro to make it better looking and improve the visibility (instead of killing it) I would have been interested. It's on a better chassis than the Mustang.
Sorry I don't see a 2 seater (it's not really 4 because its backseat is totally useless) sports car holding it's value. It will lose value just like other cars in it's class and add that it is GM made. Those two things make it for not holding value. Enjoy it but it's NOT a good investment. It is what it is. I do think it will be a great buy as used in the next few years if that's what your after.
I dont know why im watching camaro reviews when ive had a 6th gen ss for 2 years now. But i cant stop!
I watch them and I've never even owned a real sports car.
Haha, I get that. They’re super fun cars and I’m glad you decided to watch my video. And I hope after 2 years you’re still enjoying it. Now I need to remake the horrible ZL1 video that I did a couple years ago now. 🥸

@@eddiemy3 same
Lol same, I’ve had mine for almost a year and i love watching videos on it
I have a 2017 Fifty Year Anniversary Special Edition, fantastic car, love everything about it and I get compliments everywhere I go!!!!
Oh I bet, that sounds sweet!! Thanks for watching.
Same

Yes I have one 40000 miles not one rattle or noise nothing perfect car just perfect period .
"Technically has a trunk and back seats" Love It! Lmao 🤣😂
Haha, thanks for watching! This was a fun one 🤪
Owned gen 5 now the 6 cant say enough good things great cars
That’s awesome, I’m glad you’ve enjoyed each of them! I miss my 4th gen, I owned that before I started doing anything with RUclips. It would be fun to get another one and do a bigger build then the first one.
I have a 2023 1LE and love it! Trying to keep my miles low on it though.
That sounds like a sweet ride!
When's the last time there was any type of marketing or commercials for the camaro? Don't think chevy invested in their line.
Probably the Transformers movie haha. Yeah, the Dodge cars and the Mustangs have had their own commercials but GM has really dropped the ball with their performance division outside of Corvette.

Same here! It’s a shame, and they really dialed in the 6th gen. I’m glad you’re enjoying yours.

Nice, 392 Challengers are fun! 🤩

My 18 came in at 4.1 0-60 from a competitive launch mode in sport.

Was that with dragy or inbuilt timer... because add .4 if it's inbuilt timer because off rollout
I gap those with my b9 Audi s4 😂
I have a 2021 Camaro SS 1LE... The best driving car I have ever owned. It only has 4300 miles. The 6 speed with rev match is the best...
That sounds like an awesome spec!!
I like and highly respect the Camaro and would’ve bought one as my 2nd option if I didn’t buy a Mustang for whatever reason. I do not regret going with a V8 Mustang instead though for several reasons. Both are great cars and it’s a matter of personal preference
🇺🇸💪 the 6th gen Camaro is a fantastic car altogether,
Amen to that!
My 2002 Z28 ran a 13.12@107mph back when I first bought it ... only thing on it when I bought it was a K&N intake ..
That’s awesome!! My FBO LS1 TA in our elevation on “private road” couldn’t get past a 13.9 @ like 102 I think but also it was almost 25 years old at the time.

Dont leave them on the street now, especially the V8. The thieves want em.

Oh interesting. Do you see a lot of V8 Holdens? It’s a shame that GM has been cutting back on all their cool stuff haha.

I didn't like the way i felt in the Camaro as far comfort and the ability to see out of the car.. It just felt like it had way to many blind spots.. Still a very nice car though for sure..
Absolutely agree! Visibility needed to be better in these. If I wanted to look out of doll house sized windows I would buy a tank.
Chevy got rid of the best car they make.
Fun review! Still…. The GM-ness…. Ugh!
Haha, I get that. Thanks for watching!
Chevy always does this with the Camaro's.. They will bring them out for 10 years and then stop making them. And then 10 years from now they will make them again..
No head rubbing without sunroof. One of the many reasons I hate them.
I'll take a 1st gen or maybe even an early 2nd gen any day.
This car looks fugly from the side.... nothing at all distinctive about it.
I get that! After owning and enjoying an LS1 F Body I think that’s the generation I would personally go back to. With a lot of upgrades haha.
@@AutomotiveAnonymous208 Big Red!

Go buy a ford then to bad because camaro out handles the mustang not even a contest.
Only two pedals. Cmon bruh get a real Camaro
Haha, I know. I don’t see extremely clean Camaros every day, and it’s been over a year since I’ve driven one so this one had to do!
