- Trying to restore a water damaged box art from an OG Xbox game I picked up from a thrift store.

My artwork is stuck to the plastic in the game case. Is there anyway to get it out without ripping the artwork up?
I'm not really sure, it depends how severe it is. I had a similar problem but it was very minor and I just poured hot water (gently, very low pressure) in the gap between the plastic and the artwork. It worked but it was a small area in one of the corners. Good luck!
@@abenyc it's pretty severe. It's the entire artwork is stuck to the plastic. I tried pulling a little bit off the plastic, but it starts to rip the artwork. It's quite an expensive game so I don't want to ruin it completely.

Wouldn’t it just dry back out wrinkled?
It didn't for me but I guess it's possible, sorry I know this is extremely late haven't looked here in a while
@@abenyc don't worry about it. I appreciate the response. I don't remember what exactly I was working on when I saw this originally but most of my projects turned out good and I do remember using your advice for some game cases
