Actually, National Parks are federal territory. Banff and Jasper are not "... in the province of Alberta..." They boarder both BC and Alberta, but they are not in anything but Canada. To put a point on it, if wexit happened, they would be "in the province of British Columbia".

I grew up in Vancouver and this video left out a few of my favourite things in BC. Harrison and Radium Hot springs are amazing. Underground lava flows create warm natural mini lakes that are like bathwater. The interior o the province features great fresh water fishing in pristine lakes and clean rivers and streams. Long Beach on the west side of Vancouver Island is a must see. It is 10 miles long of beautiful sand, surf and suntanning paradise. Vancouver itself has a vibrant music and club culture unmatched anywhere in Canada as well as its own large collection of beaches to lounge on; but my persona; number one spot is the Crows Nest Restaurant atop Grouse Mountain. The word spectacular does not do the view justice and the food is exquisite.

While Vancouver was the host city of the 2008 Winter Olympics, Whistler got a lot of the entertainment and actual sports venue duties because the town of Whistler is better-equipped than Vancouver for a lot of the events. Whistler, Pemberton, and the surrounding area is a gorgeous place to live.
Vancouver is also an amazing city to live in, but you need to have a very good job to afford it.
Giuseppe Garibaldi was an Italian general who united Italy and presented it to the government as a unified country; he's basically the Father of modern-day Italy. He was renown, literally world-wide, for being a general who could win any war, and was responsible for establishing legitimate governments in much of South America, and envisioned a European Union long before it existed. When he was alive, he was the most famous Italian in existence. Vancouver has a park named after him, and I bet you can find many others in many other countries.
I've driven to both of Canada's coasts and driven cross-country. The entire country is beautiful, even the Prairies in their stark emptiness. The Maritime provinces are just as gorgeous as BC, and Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and the 3 territories all have their beauty.
If you're a hiker, 5km (about 2mi) is an average hike; that's about 1-2 hours (depending on terrain; maybe 45-90min if there are trails).

The mountains of Garibaldi Park and Sunshine Coast are part of the Coast Mountain Range. Most of the province is either mountains or valleys, and considered the Western Cordillera as a whole. The highest points of the Rockies mark the boundary between BC and Alberta, and Jasper and Banff are over the line in Alberta. So as you head west from the Rockies, you quickly run into large ranges like the Purcells, Monashee, Selkirks, Caribou, and Omineca on your way to the Coast Range.
You got a chuckle out of taking ferries, and might like to know that BC Ferries is the second-largest ferry system in the world. There are a number of interior lake ferries as well, including the world's longest free ferry trip on Kootenay Lake.
Lastly, not everyone hikes and camps, but it's certainly popular. Provincial drive-in sites one used to be able to pull into and find a site for the night are now reserved online early in the year! You can buy an annual pass for less developed "forestry" campsites, but you're usually looking at gravel travel into the hinterlands. Backpack hiking has its following, and restrictions are few within large parks.

Other places which were sadly left off the list are Haida Gwaii and the Great Bear Rainforest. As per your comment about seeing no tourist, there are many areas where camping and hiking are possible and you don't see any other people. To put it in perspective, BC has 10 mountain ranges and 5 million people (5 people per square km. ) Switzerland has 8 million people, and BC is the same size as 22 Switzerlands. At 944,735 square kilometres/364,764 square miles, British Columbia is bigger than France and Germany combined, or almost four times the size of Great Britain. It’s larger than the total area of Washington, Oregon, and California, yet the population of the entire province is only slightly larger than the population of Los Angeles. Living in BC, when someone tells me to "take a hike", I say "gladly" .

Hatley Park is a really nice spot in Victoria BC.
It has three Gardens an Ocean look out, two forest trails, a Castle used as the exterior for the school in most of the X-Men movies and just behind the Castle is a modern building that houses Royal Roads university.
What I like about it is how it is like going to five or so different parks, but they are all on the same property.

Tyler, you’d be surprised at how much people hike here. We live on the edge of the wilderness, and my 15 YO daughter goes hiking with her friends every other weekend. They swim in the rivers (and probably cliff jump, even if they shouldn’t). She’s planning on going into a career that involves hiking- either forestry or adventure tourism. Both are strong industries here.
Edit- YES, there’s lots of wildlife. They frequently encounter bears.

(as you get older it often tuns into an RV as tents are more for young bones). We went camping through school, and summer camps and groups gatherings (band, church, soccer). Camping seems to be considered a bonding experience.

Lifelong Vancouverite here - this video reminds me how much of this province I've still never seen. Still maintain that it's the best place on the planet to live, if you can afford to! Side note - Squamish (the city) is named after one of the three major Coast Salish Indigenous nations that have lived in the southwestern part of British Columbia for thousands of years, along with the Musqueam and Tsleil-Waututh nations. So, that answers your question at 21:48 as to what the name means!

Yes, surprisingly, you *CAN* find beautiful scenery like this in the u.s.
Remember, the Rockies go down into the states too.
Also, to a lesser extent, you get the views in and around the Blue Mountain's and area.
And to be clear, the u.s. has *HUGE* numbers of places you can go to hike, and camp, and explore.
And I'd wager you could/can find at least a dozen such places within around a half a days drive from your living room. 😊

As stunning as Canada can be and as spectacular as British Columbia is, there are hundreds of beautiful wilderness locations around the US especially west of the Rockies and parts of the east/northeast. However, Canada tends to have more wilderness due to the size of the country and relatively low population. Tyler seems to know as little about his own country as he does Canada.

❤ Yup! That's the main reason why Canada isn't as populous as the USA. Imagine how breathtaking America was before it it bulldozed, filled, and otherwise destroyed for miles upon miles of suburbs and strip malls?
Just imagine Panorama Ridges being dotted with cabins and stores, or worse, completely covered by waves of buildings? It would look just like the most densely populated parts of Brazil, Italy and California.
We value our natural resources a lot here. We still have clear cut sites and other environmentally unsound industries destroying the ecosystem for wealth, but we try to keep it to a minimum for tourists to marvel at and as an investment for our descendants
