Absolutely correct, and what a good kind of translation it is, indeed. Yes, forget the rhyme (which is of course in the german lyrics), but think about the correct message. And it is the messages which truly kicks in together with the great music. Fun fact: the german national soccer team played this song during the last both maches whenever the german team scored a goal. It was awesome, because the crowds knew the lyrics and sang the song, too.
It's been a long time ago since I heard this song. I love the 80's.
