Www.horsetraileraccessorystore.com is where I get handles and replacement trim and such. For the diamond tread I use a local store called metal supermarkets. If you go to www.metalsupermarkets.com you might have one in your town. They custom cut for a reasonable price and you don’t have to buy a whole sheet.
@@carriagehousetrailers Yes thank you! I find every video of yours most helpful. Hands down 100% the most helpful, informative content about builds I've found on the internet to date. I've watched basically all your video's and appreciate the knowledge you share.
I only buy trailers with the manufacturer serial number still legible on them. That allows me to get a title for them. Trailers don’t come with titles in oklahoma, so it’s just a paperwork exercise and very inexpensive. It’s also available to do in states that do require trailers to have titles. Just contact the DOT or Corporation Commission in your state and ask. They’ll point you in the right direction.
I prefer Craigslist. I really hate "Is it still available?" I found mine in an equine sales magazine, near Sacramento, for $150. I added electric brakes.
Craigslist can be excellent because there’s a bunch of farmers that use it regularly for livestock and equipment. Most people seem to forget about it and it can be a great place to find a great trailer. That’s an awesome find.
This was so helpful. Thank you so much.
@@maggiessweettooth I’m glad it’s helped!
What would be really helpful would be where to find parts you said you would be replacing like handle locks, window trim, diamond cladding, etc.

how do you feel about the center divides? do you know if they can mostly all be taken out 100% without changing the integrity of the roof structure?
Yes. The center divider support is only there to support the center divider. It doesn’t affect the strength of the roof. I hope that helps.
