I’ve had a 10c for a year now.
Agree on all of your points. I mostly use it as a dash cam and it does the job.
Battery life is definitely the worst part for me but I guess it’s par for the course. On my commute it’s fine: I just charge it up at work. On trips where I want to last most of the day, I have to have it plugged into a usb port on the bike or to a battery pack in my jacket. It cuts off the camera to save battery once it’s low so kind of pointless as a dash cam once that happens.
Video quality is good and so is audio. I have a 128GB card in it and takes a while to fill up before it starts writing over the old footage.
Firmware is terrible. I updated it once, lost all audio functionality so rolled it back.
I really wish this had voice control too. Overall, it’s nice having everything integrated into one unit.

daily ride?
I ride with my 10 c Evo. Plugged in to my bike when I ride. Short trips no, long trips yes. Works fine in pouring rain for me. I ride a 2020 Yamaha FJR 1300es.
The pros and cons are similar to my Sena 10C Pro, which predates this model. I use mine as a "dashcam" of sorts in case something unfortunate happens, but it's also good for capturing video of interesting things you happen to come across. Oddly enough the microphone on my unit sounds better. When I'm under 50 MPH people can't even tell I'm talking on my mobile phone, much less riding my motorcycle. Faster than that you start to get a little bit of wind noise, but I guess it depends on how good your windscreen is at blocking the wind.
Video quality is improved and the battery life is a little bit better. On my 10C Pro I get about an hour of video before the camera turns off. If I'm doing a long distance trip I'll hook my camera up to a external battery pack and let it loop record all day long without any issues. I'll probably upgrade once they build in some sort of stabilization capability to the camera system because if you move your head around a the video can be rather jerky. Overall I like the concept, it's an interesting device and I use mine every time I ride.
It's possibly because he wasn't able to udpate the firmware. My Sena 10c was horrible out of the box, but turned into a decent cam with great audio after updating the firmware. Plus, there was a big batch of the original 10c units that got shipped with questionable mics that were replaced under warranty.

There is certainly a future for this, especially for non dedicated vlogging. Lets hope gopro will team up with a manufaturer like Cardo or something.

I bought a SENA 10C EVO earlier this year. It has stopped working after less than a dozen use. It won't open and it won't charge!
I have contacted SENA’s technical support and exchanged several emails with them over the last 3 weeks with no resolution (Fix or Exchange) so far or explanation for the slow progress.
I consider myself a valuable customer after having purchased several SENA products over the past 10 years (2x SENA 10S, 2x SENA 20S and 1x SRL for my Neotech 2 helmet) and was pleased with the products. Sadly, my experience with the 10C EVO has not been good and their Technical Support has not been helpful at all.
My conclusion is that the 10C EVO is not reliable and SENA is not interested in their customer’s satisfaction.
Has anyone else had bad experience with the 10C EVO and/or SENA’s customer service?
I finally received the replacement 10C EVO today… Thanks to SENA for resolving my issue immediately after I publicly shared my bad Technical Support and Customer Service experience on their Facebook page. Needless to say, I find it a shame that I had to publicly share my experience in order to obtain satisfaction! I am hopeful that SENA will take note of my difficult experience with their Technical Support and improve Customer Service in the future! Thanks again to Leo (and others at SENA) for taking the time to understand my situation with the broken 10C EVO and send me a replacement! #RideConnected

Sena have an annoying habit of having differing helmet connections for differing units.
It's really frustrating.
It means the 10C wont fit on a 20S mount which basically means I don't buy a 10C and therefore Sena don't get the sale - I may as well buy a GoPro
It's dumb as it'd be so easy to produce a modular helmet system
A modular mount would be cool for sure, but it would lose the ratcheting adjuster that helps you aim the camera where you need it. Are you looking to swap from the 20S to the 10C every other ride or something? Or looking to just swap it between helmets from time to time?
Do you think the audio is good enough for a straight piped bike
I use it on my Harley just fine, just don't do what the video maker did and use wrong settings, lower the gain, adjust and test. Depending on helmet, you may need a mic wind cover and such, but that goes for any mic as they're all affected by wind noise.

That bobble is nausea inducing. Totally useless for anything but the insurance company after an accident.

I've used the 10C and 10C Evo without issue for near a decade combined. No issues with firmware or updates. Done cross country runs, recording the whole way, just plug into a battery pack in my pocket. The audio issues in this video aren't the device but the settings he's using.
10c evo isn’t actually an Action camera ! It’s an Coms system with an integrated camera. You can’t compare it to a GoPro !!

I had this and it was buggy overpriced garbage. I sold it and got a packtalk bold. Much better

This Sena 10c evo is outdated, you cant compare it with a action camera because it don’t have 4k 60fps record possibilities.
Sena must come with a upgrade on this product.
Better camera quality
Agree 4K and 60FPS should be a goal Sena has, but I would love to see how large the unit would have to be to have a battery capable of doing everything a GoPro does with shooting quality/recording AND also be a BT communicator. Would imagine it looking like a giant brick on the side of your helmet like how NuViz was.

We hope Gopro will come with very good hero 10 Black.
We hope sena will upgrade this camera so that we can record or motorcycle trips in 4k 60 fps.

Because you really need those 30-60 extra frames to catch the bumper of the car cutting you off.
Does that really matter? U might ask stabilization but i see people hardly record in 4K. This intercom is an all in one integrated module and is meant for people who are usually not normal vloggers but loves to capture being on a motorcycle. I feel this is one of the best from Sena rather 50S. Cardo prevails over 50S but nothing is competition to this in market.
The fact that it doesn't have the latest tech in it makes it a no-go for me.
Sena 10C Evo. Way too expensive. Video quality is terrible compared to a newish GoPro. The audio, when not crackleing, is exceptional. Far better options is your prepared to sync audio. If you aren't then there isn't much that can compete.
Sena has lost the plot.
Get 10C Pro instead. 10C Pro can be plugged in to USB for charging, while recording.
You can charge while using the Evo just fine
@@hiddenmonkeyofdoom Yeah exactly. I've used my Evo for 8 hours straight, plugged into a battery in my chest pocket. Always love the expert internet advice from someone who obviously hasn't used it.

@@russellstokke6888 I still have an evo, and never tried charging it via battery powerbank, but it won't charge via usb charging port on my bike while recording.
@@raceraxe I dunno man, maybe an issue with your accessory socket's voltage? It can definitely charge and record. Hope you get it figured out, because the battery life is definitely the weak point.
The software is shit... Updated it and the video cam is not working anymore... Do not buy it
Have you warrantied it? I don't work for Sena but a Camera/BT that doesn't have a Camera sounds like something that needs to get replaced. Especially considering all the reviews on this unit not mentioning this same problem, seems like an isolated incident.
@@patrickmchugh8039 I believe it was a software issue at that particular period of time... I exchange it for a new set...... Same thing happen, updated it, cam stop working... Went back to the distributor and did a swap for the 50s instead...
