Good job as usual. I have a spreadsheet with dates and data reference in adjoining columns. Could check boxes be used to only display whatever date is checked?
A simple trick:
If you inserted a checkbox in, say A2, and you want cells A3:A20 to have checkboxes too, you don't need to repeat the process: Insert-> Cell Controls-> Checkbox.
All you have to do is select cells A2:A20 and press: CTRL+D.
That's all
Sumitji, I have still not received this new checkbox version in my Office 365 yet. Please guide me how would I go about making interactive Chart with Company A,B & C. Thanks in advance for your response.

Absolutely powerful and essential for the company. Thanks for sharing. Great explanation, Sumit.
Thansk Ivan. I have been a huge fan of these in-cell checkboxes in Google Sheets, and so happy they are now in Excel. They are so much better than the Form and ActiveX control Check Box that were already in Excel
THANK YOU
Thanks Sumit. Very simply and nicely explained the use of check box in excel.

I have still not received this new checkbox version in my Office 365 yet. Please guide me how to get it
Hey man thank you for your videos.
If I'm sure you get this all the time. But they have helped me so much.
God bless for your content.
Is a question if you have time.
I was wondering if you have a video on full screen mode ?
I'm trying to make an excel dashboard, but i'm trying to make it mimic like a real application.
I was wondering if there was any way to make it auto full screen ? Only for that template, so it looks like a real application rather than an excel spreadsheet. Like on startup. So you start the application. It's full screen mode, then you end the application and that full screen mode. No longer affects anything else. Like if you opened a different work book it wouldn't be in full screen still.
If you have any advice I would be very appreciative.
Thank you so much for the kind words 😊
Regarding your question, try adding this VBA code in the ThisWorkbook object. So open VB Editor and double click on the ThisWorkbook object in the Project Explorer. If you don't see Project Explorer, click on View and then click on the Project Explorer option.
Private Sub Workbook_BeforeClose(Cancel As Boolean)
With Application
.DisplayFullScreen = False
.DisplayFormulaBar = True
.DisplayStatusBar = True
End With
With ActiveWindow
.WindowState = xlMaximized
End With
End Sub
Private Sub Workbook_Open()
With Application
.DisplayFullScreen = True
.DisplayFormulaBar = False
.DisplayStatusBar = False
End With
With ActiveWindow
.WindowState = xlMaximized
End With
End Sub
Private Sub Workbook_BeforeClose(Cancel As Boolean)
With Application
.DisplayFullScreen = False
.DisplayFormulaBar = True
.DisplayStatusBar = True
End With
With ActiveWindow
.WindowState = xlMaximized
End With
End Sub
Private Sub Workbook_Open()
With Application
.DisplayFullScreen = True
.DisplayFormulaBar = False
.DisplayStatusBar = False
End With
With ActiveWindow
.WindowState = xlMaximized
End With
End Sub
Hope this works!!

How to enable a check box in Excel 365 desktop version.
hi, thanks for your video is so helpful, but on my computer i can't find this option i can inset numbers of check boxes, even i am using the 365, thanks
Hello Sir. Can you please do the videos on Powerbi and more videos on power query.
I did a whole course on Power Query. You can find it here - ruclips.net/p/PLm8I8moAHiH1_n4Y1wE0seb-htscpN9o6
Will make some Power BI videos soon
A much simpler formula to count the number of TRUE values in a range of checkboxes:
instead of =COUNTIF(B2:B12,TRUE)
Simply write:
=SUM(--B2:B12)
Yeah, this is easier when you want to count the number of YES. I showed the COUNTIF function as I also wanted to show how to count the Unchecked boxes, where FALSE equates to 0.
@@trumpexcel
In order to count the FALSE you can use the following formula:
=SUM(--NOT(B2:B12))
I was using the new checkboxes fine, but now they have been disabled. I don't know if there is a setting which I messed with which I wasn't supposed to, or I don't know if Microsoft is doing something in the background.
But the checkbox feature is greyed out, and all the checkboxes I placed on my worksheet are replaced with true or false values.
Nice sir
I am using 365 and latest updates are done (2401) But this option is not avalible on my excel. You know why?
Same, I'm even using the business premium license. It's still not in mine too
Hello sir your god 🙏❤
hi is this already available?
It's available for most users of Microsoft 365. Should be available for all M365 users soon (if not already)
it's not yet available in mine and i'm using the business premium 365 in excel, it's the highest license supposedly. i keep updating to the latest verson but this isn't available yet. Do they have a tentative date for all users to have access to this?
I am not sure if they have a date. They do roll out these new features to personal-level subscription before rolling it out for enterprise-level subscriptions
In my excel this option is not available. Why?
Are you using Excel with Microsoft 365? It's only available with M365 subscription
Yes.@@trumpexcel
I have M365 Family plan. for 6 users.@@trumpexcel
@@trumpexcel I have the M365 and I don't have that check box. How can I update it?
