I almost installed the patrol rear springs on my sw 2.8 pajero last year when I broke both rear springs (for some reason, probably rust). I ended up replacing them with used pajero ones. but now I'm definetly going back and installing the patrol ones. with 33" (currently running 31") it should be perfect.

Just be careful with the safari springs that you don’t blow the top of the shocks out when flexing it out as they’re not long enough, love the build so far though I have a 95 Lwb paj!

Haha yes I have heard this can happen, its also why I still have the sway bar connected !!

@@barnbuilds25 yas already talked to them but were still trying to ship it in philippines. Btw i already installed coil spring from patrol gq yesterday now im having a problem in front. I do have a ball joint spacer and a monroe shock only has no coil. Made a re index in my torsion now its very stiff do you have a recommendation?

@@creampietv4729 unfortunately you are going to have to wait until you get the suspension, because that’s the issue when you re index, you make the front really stiff..

It might be worth buying new torsion bars

    I have a gen 2 paj (1999).
I removed the ladder-frame from the body to weld it, sandblast, acidbathe, galvanize and more.
I also fully restored the body, removed all rust and repainted the car in bedliner since it is more fit for offroading.
I have always had difficulty understanding lifts for all type of cars. I want to use the exact same patrol springs to lift my paj, but wonder - was there anything else you had to change when lifting it like this? On the back, is the patrol springs the only lift you have done there? What lift is in the front?

Was cable-lengtheners required for the brake lines or anything else?

    • @barnbuilds25
      @barnbuilds25  29 дней назад +1

1stly, well done on doing such a good job on the restoration ! I wish I could have done that.
So basically in the rear because I have kept my rear anti-roll/sway bar and then my trailing arms are limited to a certain travel, the suspension was also limited ( still stock shock absorbers ) it was just a swap out then swap back in.
However I would lengthen my brake lines if I still had the car.
Then on the front I ran 2 inch lift from a set of coilovers, a ball joint flip and I re indexed my torsion bars, so I was almost on a 3.5 inch lift all round, then running on 32s.

@@barnbuilds25thank you so much! so in the back it was stock except the coils?
I think I can/will do the same as you have done and try to lenghten brake lines.

@@barnbuilds25 thank you so much for the clarification! earned a sub.
now i can safely order patrol coils and mount. some 2” lift pucks for the front, lenghten the brake lines, add a 2” gear-stick lift 😎
