Yes, the difference between the existing and new paint does show up. The paint is not white, it is "bright white". :¬) Webhead USA
i went back through your video catalog and watched where you basically built Basik. I recommend everyone go back and watch this channel from the beginning as the amount of imagination, creativity and hard work they put into this boat is just amazing.... i know Teal could make a kick butt rocking chair ! The transformation of this boat has been amazing to watch. She looks great all jobs well done.
I just watched SV RAN 2 and they were in the boat show in Dusseldorf. They were looking at a lightning arrester system and it was mentioned that there were several companies with similar offerings. Since Parlay has been hit twice now it may be worth a look. No mention on price. ................... enjoy
I know that metal ships have to take into account the weight of paint installed over the years...is it the same with your craft? One other thing: when installing multiple containers of paint in a house it's standard practice to "box" the paint, mix all the containers, so any slight difference in color will be nullified. If the containers are all from the same serial-numbered batch the boxing is unnecessary.
Teal, you go with that tape ball dude! I’ve been doing the same thing with aluminum foil! 🙃. Emma ! Flash has a great idea there for you! Maybe a future career!?! Maybe you could reach out to some video production people/companies to do voiceover work right now through the internet to make a little extra money and gain some more experience!?! Couldn’t hurt to try, just keep up with your school work! Good luck 🍀👍

It's refreshing to see a meticulously maintained vessel...you guys take extra care of your baby and I love it. As a viewer of numerous sailing channels, I'm always saddened to see how filthy some boats are, especially when they're making videos with no regard to dirt. I'm a boat owner too and I work hard to keep her in a somewhat presentable way. I hate a dirty and cluttered boat so thank you for being my heros.

I have to laugh, I have a 55" Toshiba TV that I use for my monitor....I was watching Teal paint...and I saw a spot on all that white...I soon realized it was on my screen...LOL! Thank you for sharing...from Lodi, California.

Teal, I have great respect for your exacting planning, work and the way you watch over your family. Of course Linh, Emma and Compass make their contribution too. If you have the time, you may care to watch Sailing Good, Bad and Ugly - and possibly give them a few tips. They are a gutsy couple who have learnt lots, but you have more experience and knowledge. Keep up the great work, all of you. 😀

Oh yeah Lynh that's a nice salad roll, in Aussie we have cucumber, beetroot, ham, lettuce, cheese, mayo, and anything else we can fit on it. Absolutely top paint job people, Basik is looking good.
@9:33 Just look at the difference in hull shape between catamaran that sails in light wind, and one that motors.
I noticed that as well. The wetted surface of the Leopard had to be two fold or more.

I don't know what was funnier, the "Bugs" or the "Tape Ball". I ended up picking the "Tape Ball" because the bugs created extra work on a beautiful paint job. See you all next time and God Bless.
forgive me commenting on stuff that is none of my business, but when it comes time to replace your 'tramp', i saw another one of my fave sailing (cat) channels replace theirs with a black one - it works REALLY well; you can see the sea easily when the trampoline is black, rather than white. i thought it was a great look. anyhoo, as ever, i loved watching your show. thanks for sharing your journey with us. :)

I was a little late today. Badly timed nap. 🙄 I was glad to see that they had the skateboard to move that other boat. If they had had to move you it probably would have cost you a whole day of work.
Yes, that was a bit of concern. The Cabrales crew were so awesome in trying their best to make it work out for us. That skateboard is a pretty cool and handy piece of equipment to have in such a busy yard.

Do you have to take any precautions with it being (I'm guessing) so hot, as far as the paint drying too quick?
We have the correct thinners in case it was too hot, but planned our painting times at the right temps.
Now that's true love when your lady makes you a samich. Men are easy to please LOL.
Teal, your only a manly man when you catch the fish :) I would have added pickle, tomato, onion, avocado, pepperoni, mustard and black pepper.

Those are our solar lights and we have absolutely loved them. Of course after 4 years, they are showing their age and we hope we can find them again. We have the original ones we ordered through our Amazon Store of recommendations. Cheers!

Why did you guys switch from the trimaran to your cat?
Our trimaran and catamaran cast a similar shadow but the cat is twice as fast with five times the interior living space. It was a simple decision for the crew.
I used the same paint I found after one season it was all dull the paint doesnt hold luster. wish I went with all grip

Maybe, but not likely. We are working hard on acclimating to our environment. AC draws too much power.

OMG!! Please change the first 2 minutes of your videos! Same old Jingle, same shots, same first 30 seconds, then the same 30" of Emma's voice recalling of your last episode, "the crew....", then the Google Earth zoom, and then at last starts the video... Guys I love you and Ive been following your adventures since the beginning, but PLEASE BE CREATIVE! With repetition comes boredom, Where is the pleasure if ALL your videos look the same? Thanx for all your work to share your lifetime with the world, best regard from France, Al.
