      This specific citrus pre wash it pretty much save to use every where, depending on how it’s diluted.

    What's the best method to remove water spots from a ceramic coated car....

    • @HarpersCarDetailing
      @HarpersCarDetailing  3 года назад +2

      It depends how bad the water spots are.
      Koch Chemie FSE is a fantastic product for light spots, and always works as a great quick detailer.
      For more stubborn spots I use a protect called labocosmetica energo.
      When the car is freshly washed and still wet, I put a small amount of Energo onto a wash mitt and spread it across the area. I would then leave it for a minute of so, providing you are out of direct sunlight then rinse off.
      Hope this helps

    • @1005wiking
      @1005wiking 3 года назад

      What is actually the best way is if you take a hair drier and warm up the place where the spot is. take a microfiber cloth with water with about 37 degrees water on it and it goes away. Cause the water spot might have made small holes in the coating and if you use too much chemicals it might hurt more than it makes good.

    • @HarpersCarDetailing
      @HarpersCarDetailing  3 года назад +1

      I agree this does work for lighter water spots and bird lime etching, but sometimes a chemical is needed. If it’s a reputable coating then it shouldn’t affect it 👍🏼

    I don't understand why you (and other pro detailers) waste so much time doing unnecessary steps. Maybe it was just not visible on the video, but what tar and glue? The iron remover, while a good idea, didn't seem to remove anything, either.

    • @HarpersCarDetailing
      @HarpersCarDetailing  3 года назад +1

      Hi Neil, which steps were a waste of time?
      You can’t see what the tar and iron remover are doing as it’s a black car, but you can see the contamination on the paintwork. If these steps and the clay bar stage is overlooked, when machine polishing, the pad would pick these contaminants up and scratch them around the paintwork.

    • @nldmaster
      @nldmaster 3 года назад +1

      @@HarpersCarDetailing I understand that. Again, like I said, maybe you just couldn't see it because the car is dark. I completely agree that the paint should be totally clean before polishing and coating. How long did this project take you (minus camerawork)?

    • @HarpersCarDetailing
      @HarpersCarDetailing  3 года назад +1

      Black cars defintely aren’t the best to demonstrate contamination.
      Fingers crossed I’ll be able to film a white or silver car as this will really shows off the contamination stage, especially the iron removal.
      This took roughly 1.5 days with the international of around 85-90% so only a few deeper scratches left behind, which really can only be seen under an inspection light.
