11:30 "use scarlet witch" I would say don't start with scarlet witch, you won't learn how to aim, hurting you in the long term. I would say characters either with aoe, rapid fire, or slight homing would be a good middle ground for dps. Probably use characters like Psylocke to learn, her attack throws bursts of projectiles that fan out, making the attacks more forgiving. She has dashes and invisibility, allowing for the learning of flank routes and finding health packs on the map. 12:10 "use rocket racoon" Sounds like a good starter, since he's easy to transition from healing to attack and vice-versa. Personally, I started with cloak/dagger, and I think that the homing has been really helpful! The swap helps players who use them learn WHEN to be on the aggressive. The annoying thing with them, though, is that players in early ranks don't know that their ult leaves a healing trail (absurd heals per second, especially if stacked), so that aspect of it is often wasted, even if you explain what it does to the team. Additionally, cloak and dagger have a high skill cap, meaning that it will get better as you do, unlike Scarlet Witch who doesn't improve much as you get better, and won't transition well to learning the game/how to aim. Also, please don't one trick, especially as a dps. I'm struggling down here in bronze 2/1. Everyone does it for dps, leaving terrible team composition. If you're wondering how I'm qualified to talk about this, admittedly I barely am. However, I've learned through tutorials from top players about what characters are hardest to master (@Coach_Mills2), and learn game sense quickly. I got in Platinum in Rocket League in the first two seasons I played, and won a Diamond tournament in my second(?) season.
14:20 Swap characters during the death screen, not when you should be playing and rushing in to help or being in position for when it IS time to fight (when you have all party members alive, especially your supports and tanks).
Bro the ranks reset and its MISERABLE in the lower ranks. Seems like nobody understands a balanced team of 2 tanks 2dps 2 healers its sooo frustrating. Like family, if u wanna play whoever just go to quickplay
It's not always about being a pro homie if I want to play dps and ONLY dps I will and I don't care what it does to other people fortunately I play cap he is my favorite char I play for fun I could care less if you cant rank up unless you have a team that you talk too and coordinate with it will always be a random skirmish
My biggest struggle is when playing against a character them being crazy strong and then as soon as I use them the character is suddenly weak. I'm just so frustrated
Just as an example... venom. Venom's shield makes him tough to kill, but you get the most value from being almost dead so if you didn't know better, you would hit it when you lost about half health and then just die, but if you use it at the right time you definately have at least enough time to disengage. Each hero has a subtle nuance to them like this and it takes time to learn. Try to find groups of people to help until you feel up to speed.
You can play against AI as well. If you’re on console? Click the “only console” switch above the playstyle if your connection is suffering. Iron fist will heal wherever you trigger his skill, including mid air. Magick has slow attacks but mixing them with melee? Will animation cancel and deal faster damage. Hawkeye has some odd aim but to the left of his reticle? You’ll have 2-3 mm of extra headshot hitbox but not to the right of the reticle. If you’re like me get used to 3/4 characters if you can in case someone snags your main. Play. The. Point guys. It’s an objective style not death match like CoD. If you’re playing Jeff, you can pop up, spit health, eat it, and dive back down. You’re vulnerable in the ground still so make sure you’re not swimming in straight lines. If your mobility is high in this game? Most likely meant to be flanking.
On the “play the point” tip - i dont know if you play overwatch, but this is an extremely common thing for players to say in that game. However, the truth is it’s 99% wrong. The only way you can capture or push an objective is by winning a fight, and the best way to win a fight is by controlling the powerful positions AROUND the point. If you’re playing a DPS with a lot of mobility (panther for example), you should almost never be on point, you should be on the sides or in the backlines of the enemy. Obviously there is the exception of when a round is in overtime, you literally have to touch the point, but this idea of controlling space around the objective is so fundamental to both overwatch and marvel rivals that PROFESSIONAL players in overwatch often FORGET about the objective (called a C9) extremely often, resulting in the unfortunate scenario where they win the fight but lose the match. Of course, you don’t want to do this, but it highlights the priorities that the best players have. There’s obviously a balance to be struck, but always “playing point” is absolutely a bad idea. Holy essay sorry bout that
@@lucas411_ I’m usually a dive tank like Iron fist so yeah my specific play style especially in overtime is just do whatever I can to extend the timer, dive in, counter, chip damage anyone while aiming for healers, that being said when I’m Hawkeye or Hela? Definitely do not dive in, clear objective from back line and protect healer
In the low ranks everyone is so bad if you can play a GOOD healer you will win even with 5 dps i promise😂 i did it with cloak and dagger and get mvp almost every single time and ill be solo healing. Im gold 3 currently but ill be farther as soon as i stop playing with my real life friends😅
If you played any other team shooter like Overwatch you should grasp the game pretty easily but the abilities and team up abilities are a bit nuanced so that’s a bit of a learning gap there
"The game doesn't even tell you anything"-my God it's insane. You have to study the "Heroes" screen in the lobby and memorize the abilities... there's no obvious way to look mid-game so if you don't recognize the icons, good luck! Yeah they do this as if quick matches don’t exist, that’s why I’m watching this so I can be more flexible with my gameplay when I have arrogant idiots on my team
My biggest struggle is not knowing what my teamates mean like when I pick my character they keep on shooting at me and then I don’t know how to actually fight so I just die and I think my whole team wants me to die in a fire.
Just tryed this game out and Im NOT happy at all as a new player. The game is EXREMLY unbalanced I dont belive at all they have skilled based matchmaking att all in quickmatches becuase how damn unbalanced it is. Not fun at all. My only hope is more charcters, and change strength for evry characters melee depending on their in lore strength, they need spidey villains and xmen and the game is legendary, more modes too hopefully
