You nice work man. But you are incorrect on what you said about the side bars. the side bars have to cross between your elbow and shoulder. Here it is from NHRA rule book edit]Side-bar "Side-bar must be included on driver's side and must pass the driver at a point midway between the shoulder and elbow. Swing-out sidebar permitted." This bar welds at the intersection of the B bar/cross bar at the driver's left shoulder and runs downhill diagonally to a point near the driver's left foot. Its purpose is to keep the driver in the car in the event he/she is out of the belts (yep, it happens). If you're planning a swing-out side bar, get yourself a NHRA rulebook. There are several ways to do it, all of them too lengthy to address here.
Agree with these comments. At minimum you will likely break a collar bone if its too low as the lap belt won't be the main restraint in a roll over holding you down . Shoulder belts are to keep you from moving forward at the chest, the Lap belt keeps you in the seat from your waist if you go upside down.
Dude you kick ass at what you do. Keep doing your thing bro. Glad Jamie has a legit cage now thanks to you and won't be doing over a 100 without one. Lol.
He should get himself a kirkey or something similar that will allow harnesses to fit properly and having seat back will mounted to the cross bar is a plus for me. Good job you gave the customer what they wanted and expressed your concern on the seat as far as safety
Good to know the door bar doesn't need to be that high. one of the main reasons I was hesitant to put a cage in mine. Hope to see your car out and about this season!
Keep pushing out that work Hayden. You're crushing it. Get the rx7 done done an build you a full tubed chassis car with your knowledge and skills i know it would be........Metigulous
With a dash In do u not have to have a dash bar? And wish I understood the door bar rule better like that I don’t think I would have put a swing out on the drive door for my car lol.
Yo hayden, just curious. Do you or have you considered writing down and logging the measurements and bends for each tube for whatever car, just for future reference? Or you just go car by car? Love the content keep it up man
@@Metigulous ah word that makes sense, seems like alot of variables to have to work around, regardless your work is stellar man. Looking forward to more content in the future, cant wait to aee the rx7 rip 😍
@@mihailpetrovici5044 He's fucking stoned, don't be a moron.. The rule states door bar must pass halfway through shoulder and elbow. Not start at shoulder level..... conversion over and don't believe everything a stoner with a camera is telling you
Jamies a cool guy glad he'll be safe.
Most underrated channel right here keep it up bud!!
Yes. Absolutely
Nice to see cages going in all of these cars. Want to see you all racing for a long time! It's good to have a friend like you watching out Hayden!
Glad to see you getting some vids going again!
Soon it will be time for the 8 rotor to hit the strip. Can't wait to see you pass tech, and not get kicked out when you run 8s. 7s?
And then maybe but just maybe Boosted Boiz Kyle and him can run the 3 year plus call out they have going aka finally run the white MR2 rematch!!
Really happy I got to meet you at Cleetus and Cars Bradenton. I got you to sign my hat as Metigulous!
Love your welding it’s so therapeutic 🔥

Great work Hayden. Rock on!!
Jamie x Hayden
2 of the best underrated
Get a small mirror and glue a magnet to it
Nice work buddy. You’re like Superman changing in a phone booth. Super fast!
Metigulous at 3am lets gooo
You definitely don’t want the harness to pull you down in the seat, that’s how you break your back in an accident
Absolutely, straps should be no lower than 1" from the top of your shoulders.
I came to the comments to see if anyone had already mentioned it.
The rule is no lower than 4" from your shoulders. Which would be pulling you down? I aim for relatively close to inline with your ahoulders
Yea if it's to low it will compress your spine and be way more probable of spinal injuries...

3 1/2 days. Awesome to see how far you've come over the years hayden.
He'll yeah Jamie's ready to start the year out
Good work as always haden
I need 3 Thumbs for this video!!! Keeping the HOMIES SAFE!!! You DA REAL MVP MAN!!!
FYI the door bar should run half way between shoulder and elbow 💪
“I don’t need to be setting that example”. Jamie, what a stand up guy recognizing his influence on followers.
Saw that civic run in Houston it rips , The cage was needed for sure.
Always nice to watch your work
Nice job Hayden, the cage is looking ace. Hope to see some more shop adventures again soon. Keep rockin bro 👍
Really cant believe you aren't at 100k plus.
Dude you kick ass at what you do. Keep doing your thing bro. Glad Jamie has a legit cage now thanks to you and won't be doing over a 100 without one. Lol.
2 seconds into the AD and i smashed like. F yeah
You need to do a shirt collab with pfi
Hey tell Carlos he owes me breakfast. It’s on its way. 😎
Awesome job, good to see you keeping the boiz safe!
Have you ever tried mirror welding for those tight spots?
Damn Jamie how much weight you lost buddy?
I was thinking that same thing when I saw him in the last PFI video. The man's looking good.
Im down 26lbs at the moment. Thank you
i think your wrong on the side bar, rules say the side bar must pass through the driver between the elbow and shoulder.
Maybe a flexhead torch would help with those hard spots?
He should get himself a kirkey or something similar that will allow harnesses to fit properly and having seat back will mounted to the cross bar is a plus for me.
Good job you gave the customer what they wanted and expressed your concern on the seat as far as safety
Nice work! Can't wait for you to get your car finished!
astro pneumatic tools are epic, I just purchased a 1834 Impact and wow - most flexible impact I've ever seen heard or touched
What happened to the help you hired? Miss the uploads bro! Good seeing you back!
A+ video dawg.
Another awesome job well done. 👍
Ive been itching to put a cage in my deathtrap of a daily...this makes it itch that much more! So many questions! Ahhhh!
Good video, helps me get ready for the cages i need to weld in my car and my buddies civic.
Good to know the door bar doesn't need to be that high. one of the main reasons I was hesitant to put a cage in mine. Hope to see your car out and about this season!
He was wrong when he said that go look at my other comment of the nhra rules. Bar must pass between elbow and shoulder
Your best bet is to meet NHRA specs. And do a swingout. It's removable at that point.
Very nice, man you killed it
Really enjoyed that video. Really feels like the quality of your videos are getting better and better. 👍
Keep pushing out that work Hayden. You're crushing it. Get the rx7 done done an build you a full tubed chassis car with your knowledge and skills i know it would be........Metigulous
You need to watch KSR's video on seatbelt positioning. If you position the seatbelt anchor bar to low, it will compress the drivers spine on impact.
Thanks for dropping that loud arse piece of metal without warning 👍🥴
Damn that thing songs nice too
With a dash In do u not have to have a dash bar? And wish I understood the door bar rule better like that I don’t think I would have put a swing out on the drive door for my car lol.
how can someone so chill like chihuahuas? is it yours?
How much do you guys pay for Chrome Moly like that?
Serious question because I’m in the same predicament. How much lower does a kirkey sit compared to the del sol seat?
100k so close. Been a long journey bro
Just a suggestion try making a magnetic swivel mirror in those places you cant get your head
Bogging deep!
Did you put a dash bar ?
Your a beast bro 💪
Hey Ft Collins check!
cant wait to see brother in law back out..!
Other note all bars must be min of 3” above drivers head with their helmet on. And no bar within 6” of drivers head on side or back of head
Yo hayden, just curious. Do you or have you considered writing down and logging the measurements and bends for each tube for whatever car, just for future reference? Or you just go car by car? Love the content keep it up man
Yes, I do but sometimes they don't help me because there's certain things I have to work around depending on each customer which messes with it.

you do killer work!!!
How do you not have more subs
How much do you charge for a full civic roll cage

Dam that gap on the down bars i thought u want them tight up against the apillar? I guess like u said it all depends on how tight the main hoop is
Bro, enjoy yourself.
Yep. No need for him to pressure himself when he is his own boss. Peace.
Obviously Jamie gets a homie discount but what does that cage job run a joe schmoe
What do you charge for this exact cage?
Is that door bar legal?
Looks too low....or is it a hand rest 🤔
Where is the wagon?
👍👍
How much? Address?
Damn took you years bro
If they own a race shop... how doesn’t he have a race seat?
