Just started to watch 'our dear jazza' and saw your comment - i was about to mention N of the B myself. Think i'll post a link anyway. I'm a jazza fan but he could have found something original.
I dunno about a whole deck lol, that’s a lot! But maybe doing some of the legendaries/mythicals could be cool? As for starters, my first game was Leaf Green and Bulbasaur was my partner through it all 💜 he’s still one of my very favorite pokemon (but squirtle card was my fav card you did here)
There are many strong and new cool Pokemon but first one will always remain the best, still kanto region is my most favorite one. There were many beautifully designed and cute Pokemon, I still remember those days when I used to come home from school and turn on the tv to watch it in hope that ash will catch a new Pokemon today. Childhood was golden days and they will never come back 🙂🙂. What you say, sis?
I love how you’re combing so many different skills you learnt together. 3D printing, different paint techniques, diorama terrain, laser cutting and resin pouring. Uniquely Jazza and a natural evolution of the channel’s content.
What if you done the 3 starters from each generation? That seems like it would be pretty cool. Also I absolutely love how cool these look, amazing job as always 💜
There’s an irony in the fact Jazza said this is his generation of starters, and proceeds to sing the 2nd generation theme at the end 😅 Awesome video as always!
So many of us 90s kids had the 1st gen games, then Johto anime came out after school on tv, but we couldn't afford the second gen games quite yet... So singing Johto theme cos it was ingrained in us from tv, but having Kanto starters is a mood -- I'm right there with you Jazza haha
I'd love to see the first 151 but it wouldn't be easy so maybe just do the 'starter sets' of the different regions! To help you find out the other starter sets here they are: Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott Chespin, Fennekin, Froakie Rowlet, Litten, Poplio Grookey, Scorbunny, Sobble Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly (In order of their game's release)
i remember being a kid when I just collected the cards and didn't actually play the game, I'd always be so disappointed to get energies 'cause they were just so visually boring. I'd love to see those remade as something a bit more exciting
Absolutely beautiful. The texture left by the printer almost breaks the illusion, a little sanding to smoothen the surface and they are absolutely otherworldly.
I have to agree he did a beautiful job! However, no need to sand the type of printer in the vid can print at finer detail. Also it would be a pain to sand because it is so small
On the contrary, I actually really enjoy the texture on the pokemon. Kind of makes them feel more "real" to me lol. In the same way that we each have our own imperfections on our skin, so do they.
@@shakeyoulikehaiti I completely agree! The texture brings them to life. That's why I like the Gen 9 3D models so much in game, since they added textures to Pokémon like fur, scales etc. Makes them look so alive!
Watched every second of this video without even checking the comments. I was THAT immersed. Honestly one of my favourite makes you've done lately. Like you, I grew up with Pokemon, so it'll always have a soft spot in my heart, no matter how old I get!
I made some Pokémon card Art myself recently, via inspiration of Jazza! Releasing a huge Pokémon animation today and I am so excited!! Thanks for inspiring me!!!
So great to see you credit Adam and his tiny nerdy things :D Love how inclusive you are Jazza. I would love to see a full set of eevielution cards in the same style. With such diversity through the entire spectrum of pokemon types it really is the best pokemon for it. Would look amazing in your pokemon room. I know you will have or end up having a pokemon room in your studio.
More pokemon dioramas need to be brought to life!!!!!! IT NEEDS TO BE DONE!!!!! I am a gen 1 kid and I have pretty much played every single pokemon game out there, I collected the cards, I bought figures, I bought books and merchandise! At nearly 34 years old I will always be a pokemon fan! ❤️
To be honest i respect artist who can literally make a small piece into art. I think this is the first time ive seen on someone making a 3d card pokemon that shows their own pokemon world, ect. If im wrong, my apologies but all i just want to say that this was awesome.
Awesome. I used to cut out different parts of duplicate marvel comic cards like 30 years ago, when I was a small bean, and make "3D" cards. This is on a whole nother level! It's especially cool to me!
Jazza, You might want to look into getting a ductless spray booth. It would allow you to safely use spray paint indoors without the need for a respirator & without fuming out the place. They are small portable paint booths that filter out everything that doesn't stick to your workpiece. They are standard equipment for most model shops working on movies. For what they are they are not very expensive & are available in many different sizes.
Johto starters have such a special place in my heart -- I hope you do them next! These are amazing! Also of these 3 Bulbasaur was my fave with his little laser cut forest detailing, but my kids say Charmanders lava made it far and beyond the best
They all look fantastic, so impressed by dioramas and the paint job on the models. I was a bit disappointed to see all the Pokemon in what is basically T Poses. They look like they're models from XY, which if so you can find them online quite easily fully rigged, great for posing. In fact I'd love to see a video of Jazza learning to pose models to print for minis/dioramas.
These looked amazing! My suggestion would be to finish off the evolution lines making the boxes and cards bigger with each evolution so you have more room to work more detail into each as they grow. Gen 1 was the generation i started with but my favourite is gen 3 as that was the time when i had a small group of friends who were all playing the games and battling together. I guess it was those friendships that gave that time of playing pokemon a place in my heart that cant ever be taken away. For this reason Torchic will always be my favourite starter. Also it was great to see you combine so many of the techniques weve watched you learn throughout various projects all come together on this. From the concrete colour powder to the copic airbrush system its so nice to feel like us viewers are on this journey of 'evolution' with you. It really helps us scatterbrain artists out here realise that all the side projects and creative distractions we find along the way will all come together to forge us into better artists. Thanks for your many years of inspiration Jazza. You are the very best, like no one ever was ;)
This is amazing. I have one wish and I hope it takes nothing away from the accomplishment of your showcase of what you've done here, this expression of love is beautiful! The pokemon models feel too big.
Charmander has been near and dear to my heart since the very first time I turned on Pokemon Red on the clunky brick that was the original Gameboy. I've raised him in every game I possibly could since then. (Long live Inferno!) This project is phenomenal, I would love to see more! You have such amazing talent.
…I kinda want to challenge him to build 3D magic: the gathering cards, using them as commanders. I feel it would be fun, but I wish you luck with anything you do, jazza! I’m going to watch it anyway! And if you/jazza try to do mtg cards, I’d like to suggest researching eldrazi. I feel it would be a nice challenge.
They are a great tool, but resin 3D printers require some well ventilated space and consume a lot of time with prepping models for printing, handling resin in gloves and protective eyewear, etc.
Do it! They're so much fun. Steep learning curve, so get mentally prepared to fail a lot of prints during the learning process. But I love my printing and painting hobby!
It would be hilarious to actually try to play a game with "cards" like that. A "deck" of 60 "cards" would be about 25 feet tall. How you gonna shuffle that?
Make the set without regular cards and shuffle that. Then have a friend line up the 3d cards in that order facing away from you load them into a hole that has a spring loaded cam mechanism that pushes up the new top card. You need to be as rich as Kaiba to play with it regularly but I suppose that's why Yu-gi-oh has their holograms and pokemon doesn't.
Imagine, Jazza’s trading Pokémon: Someone: what do you have to trade? Jazza: *brings out three huge dioramas.* Jazza: what do you have to give? Someone: 😳
I would love to see other starters in this kind of project, preferably the Johto starters (chikorita, cyndaquil and totodile). Those 3 are dear to my heart since I started off with those in my first pokemon game :)
You know he's actually doing that right? If you follow his vlog channel, he discusses how he's making a trading card game. I think it's going to be digital, but yeah he's doing that.
This was such a cool video and project, and I love the end results. When it comes to the Kanto Starters, Squirtle is my favorite. When it comes to starters in general, the Hoenn trio (Torchic, Treecko, and Mudkip) are by far my favorites overall.
Looks great! I think you nailed the backgrounds. Maybe if you do more you could play around with different art styles, some cartooney, some abstract, or impressionistic, or even dreamy. And also I’d play around with some more dynamic positioning for the Pokémon
While I started with Gen 1, I started with Yellow so never really got the choice of Bulbasaur, charmandar or squirtle. My first choice was Chikorita, Cyndaquil and Totodile. And Totodile cemented my love for water type starters.
cyndaquil was my fave, i went most games with grass or fire. torterra, chimchar, cyndaquil, bulbasaur were my starters till gen 5 when i stopped playing
These are very very cool! Would love to see a removable panel so light box can be serviced/powered down or battery powered LED strip tape with external battery pack so it can still be an entirely closed system and yet still be serviced/powered off from outside
I'm a huge Charmander fan!! I guess technically Torchic was my first starter, as Sapphire was the first game I owned personally and played to completion. My best childhood friend had older siblings, and she would play Fire Red while I watched. That was how I was introduced to Charmander, and I immediately fell in love when I saw the anime episode about him being abandoned in the rain with his tail flame about to go out!
Haha, you know going over the lines is a style too! 😄 So he could also be doing that on purpose. It can be really pretty if done right. Plus, seeing that he did a great job on these shows he can do both pretty darn well :)
Man, I'm always in awe whenever Jazza gets into 3D backgrounds and miniatures. Anyone ever want to see his take on garage kits? (The anime character kind, not the literal garage-building kind 🥴)
I started with Squirtle because I loved Blastoise (still do). However throughout the years, I started to like the Bulbasaur line a lot. I don't like the Charmander line, but Charizard has the best shiny out of the trio.
I absolutely adore Squirtle and it's evolutions but that may stem from the fact I could just never complete FireRed ( my first pokemon game) with either of the other two. I'd immediately get beat down by either Brock or Misty with Charmander and then fly through both with Bulbasaur only to reach S.S Anne and have my butt handed to me by the rival and his fricken flying type. I've never had a problem in the later games switching starters. But no matter what Squirtle and Turtwig ( as Platinum was my second game ) are two starters I can never not pick when they are an option.
3 down, 148 to go! Unless, of course, you get caught up like I did remaking the same three over and over.

This is soo well made and the Pokémon community is big enough that someone maybe is able to make a living of these dioramas
I have no idea how jazza manages to paint miniatures when he's always going over the lines in copic drawings
Haha, you know going over the lines is a style too! 😄 So he could also be doing that on purpose. It can be really pretty if done right.
Plus, seeing that he did a great job on these shows he can do both pretty darn well :)
My favorite pokemon has always been Arcanine! 😍 I would love to have a Diorama of him! That would be so awesome! xD
Man, I'm always in awe whenever Jazza gets into 3D backgrounds and miniatures. Anyone ever want to see his take on garage kits? (The anime character kind, not the literal garage-building kind 🥴)
i love charmander its so cute
I love it! Gengar and Charizard would be pretty cool too
Love your vids jazza and it’s nice to hear a fellow Aussie for once lol, thanks for posting for us
I started with Squirtle because I loved Blastoise (still do). However throughout the years, I started to like the Bulbasaur line a lot. I don't like the Charmander line, but Charizard has the best shiny out of the trio.
Same
I absolutely adore Squirtle and it's evolutions but that may stem from the fact I could just never complete FireRed ( my first pokemon game) with either of the other two.
I really got a whole Pokémon Halloween ad 😂
