Really proud of Asafa for providing this platform for Jamaica to know the story behind some of our athletes lives and careers. In fact if it was not for Asafa letting us know years ago that the athletes were only given adulation without compensation, the annual award show by the government might never have happened. Really proud of our athletes then and now.

I don't know about that, 9.09 on the backstretch is fairly decent but nothing to write home about. Carter, Blake and Bolt's legs were all faster than their American counterparts, Frater was the only one that got outran.

@izlandsisterztv8792 I agree. Now dudes win one race and feel dey reach. It doesn’t work that way. I think part of the problem was too that because Bolt and Asafa and that entire quartet were essentially the Led Zeppelin of T&F, the other younger cats thought they were superstars too by association, not realizing that you have to make your own way in the sport

Way to go Asafa. I am one of those who always shared the same sentiment. Michael and Nesta were never given enough credit. They may not have won individual gold medals but they are big winners just like you and Bolt. Whenever I watched the 4x100 relays, I knew we were in safe hands with Nesta and Michael on the team. For me, the best baton passes usually come from Michael and Nesta. I am always going to miss them as much as I missed you and Usain Bolt. The other thing I admire about these two men are the level of humility that they always exhibit. Good luck guys. Love you all.

I respect this so much, as a college athlete I understand what it takes to run track getting a scholarship to run for a school was so much pressure I can bet it's even worst how it is to run for a country...if you can do one with the ladies also please would love to hear how they feel as well and what their POV is...great conversation again!!! Keep up the good talk, we need to hear these honest truths!!!

Hey asafa, Michael and Nesta, you guys are legends and nuff a we love unu so don't let the negative ones let you feel like there's no love from Jamaican people. It's sad to see that you feel that way but just know there's real love and appreciation out here.
Asafa, a you set the trend even before UB came to the fore and started dominating so no one can stop your shine. Mr Frater has been carrying the flag proudly and with chest forever and Nesta always represent. Happy to see the good vibes between you all. You guys are on the right side of history, you'll see. The books will say what you guys have done and that can never change.
