The P16 Gen 2 is out now. It has the Intel 13000 series CPUs and the Nvidia Ada Lovelace GPUs. The rest seems to be pretty much identical to the previous generation.
@@nellatl maybe the setup is too new. There were some driver issues and my company IT has not solved it yet. I like build quallity, dolby sound is nice, maybe screen could be not that glary. But I am still waiting to test performace of i7-13850HX ;)
Could you run this at full blast so we can hear how loud the fans are? I would love to get something like this for the great build quality if the fans are quieter than a typical gaming laptop with similar power.
I bought a thinkpad p16 (core i9 12gen ,128gb ram ,rtx A5500, 2 TB ssd ). IT have only one problem which is cpu over heating so do you have a solution or I have to change it with another modle
why do they cramp all the connections as humanly possible???? they have plenty space back there but they fucking put them so close that its frustrating
The days of 17 inch mobile workstations are over. By 2025 Dell will stop making 77series precisions in my opinion. I'll be surprised if they make one for next year.
not as long as a 16" won't be able to run CPU and GPU without constantly throttling. the P16 is a nice compromise but even with a 12850HX and A3000 (so none of them is top of the line) the system is still not running at what the HW could really deliver because of design choices in managing heat. If Dell doesn't mess it up with thermals (as they did in 7xxx line since Intel's 12th CPUs arrived) in its next 17", or any other competitor provides a bigger/heavier laptop that can run CPU/GPU under continuos load without throttling, I can see an entire niche moving.
I was glad to be sitting down when the price was mentioned.
I said “excuse me?” out loud when I heard that price!😂
What’s your long term opinion about this laptop?
Does it get hot?
How long does the battery last with that 4K display?

Didn't think it was shipping yet... Do you have a link?
@@TheDigitalDigestNot shipping yet. Soon.
@@TheDigitalDigest I am waiting for mine to be shipped as well. My companies IT has pre-order it somehow two weeks ago. Pretty exited :)

Get a decent gaming laptop instead, I'm using this for work(Unreal engine) and its just not capable. Overheating, freezing ports, no ethernet..
@@SuleBandi That sounds terrible, overheating? You would think a thicker laptop like this would have great thermals!
Would have been great if you did a follow-up video on long-term use of this laptop - assuming you kept using it of course.
Hi , how much you pay for it? you think is a good option for last generation games - Thanks!
Thanks for the video, please upload a video on the benchmark and day to day performance review. Thanks 👍
Dose it get hot while idling?

Is your laptop P16 OLED 4K display?
@@TaiLe-dr5ve yes with tuch screen

@@alishihade4751 If it has touch screen, it is OLED. Do you have e|mail?
4:13 you said it has "pretty much everything you want." W530 is modular, P16 is not.
I was windering if this can install and support QubesOS? Thanks
This computer can last for many hours without charging?
P1 gen 2 is available. Upgrade to RTX 5000 is +2890€, but you can save by going with RTX 4000 which is much cheaper upgrade at +1570€. Joke's on us.
are you sure about that 128gb ram?
They are releasing the thinkpad p16 gen 2 in august right? With the intel gen 13 chip instead of just the gen 12, do u have any thoughts on it?
I love the P16...I don't have any info on the refresh, but when it launches, it will be the best workstation on the market.
P16 Gen2 has available already but I still miss the P72/3 & P17 series
How about the E16?
Any insights on the cooling system? Is it effective/quiet? Thanks.
I have this model. It’s relatively quiet for its power.

Excellent thermal on the gen2

no network port, what a load of crap! who was smoking crack when designing this? same with the p16 gen 2
I cannot for the life understand why you would get this over a MacBook Pro. If the software supports Mac, that's what I would get everyday.
Revit is a good example of why someone would buy this instead of a Mac. The world still runs on windows.
MacOs is not something everyone will want to work with, willingly.
3D or STEM? Definitely Windows.
I mean I'm buying this and installing linux on it. I'm allergic to windows and even more so apple
Exactly that.
Some software, especially professional software use windows.
So we’ve got no choice.
