The SL2 is quite literally the perfect running shoe. Light, sufficient cushion, carbon free and pretty durable. I’ve done serious mileage in them in the Valencia block.
I sent my 1st one back cos the forefoot was too low volume and I couldn't use it..a few months later I saw a woman's size 11 discounted quite a bit so I tried it and I found it to be 1 of my best shoes I've used in several years..good enough that I bought another one..I have found the women's shoes to sometimes fit me great ..nice review..
Do you know / can you say if the women's size in this model is more narrow than the men's, or the same (unisex)? It's often that the women's standard size is B width and the men's standard D width, but with some models there's no difference. Listed unisex, in which case they are typically the same as the men's standard D width (and women's wide).
@ntnnot ..in my case and in my experience I find that most women shoes are actually the same last just 1 1/2 size longer as a result the women's fit better for me..I often buy women's shoes cos the colors are better and have better midsole for my mechanics..
I have both the SL2 and the Evo SL. The Evo SL is the better shoe - it has a full Lightstrike Pro midsole with no carrier foam and is smooth, bouncy and responsive. However the SL2 has a more snug upper whereas the Evo SL has a thinner but baggier fit. The laces on both are rubbish!
@@RichardHitchcock-ig4lj cheers for that. So is it a world of difference betwen the two or just slight difference? ie is really worth buying both or if you have the SL2 already you probably are not going to miss what the Evo SL offers?
Got these today based off your reviews, in true to size. A bit snug though, thinking maybe I should have sized up half a size. I took them straight to the local track and did a 2 mile warm up, x8 400 m intervals, and 2 mile cooldown . Will mostly likely use this shoe for workouts similar to this. And it Performed well at all the paces today. No issues. But I’m still unsure about sizing because these are not a full thumb width from my longest toe to the front of the shoe. My question is, Do you follow the a full thumb width of space rule? Will these open up a bit in the toe box the more I use it? Or is the snug slipper fit better for the track , threshold pace, and anything less than 10 miles? Hopefully you can give me some guidance here,m before I take them out again, because right now I can give them a good wipe down and exchange them 😂
How you explained the con for fitment, race day fit, where it doesn’t necessarily have issues but it does feel just a little bit tight. That’s exactly how I felt in this shoe today.
I would size up half size if you are unsure and still have the ability to exchange them. That way you can be sure to use the shoe for all types of runs in your training. And sizing up shouldn’t really affect the performance of the shoe at the track. Hope that helps!
I ordered this shoe both in my standard size and half a size up. It just about fit in my standard size with no space left. Half a size up seemed perfect. Not long, but just some space in front for a comfortable fit. Had to order both sizes due to reading mixed opinions. Majority seemed to say half a size up though, as did Adidas themselves in their size recommendation (based on returns).
@@ntnnot I gave the shoes a good clean, and was able to return them for a half size up. Much more comfortable, and don’t feel long. I also tried a full size up, but felt too long in my right foot since it’s a tad bit smaller than my left. I will run them in today, but they should workout just fine for me
If the upper didn't slam my ankle bone, it would be my favorite by far. And yes, it may run true to size, but I'd size up a half size bc it is quite tight and short.
Great shoe. It surprises me every time I put it on.
Same. Great shoe and will be in my rotation until the 3 comes out.
Great trainer, I got a pair new for £48 here in the UK 🎉
That’s such a great price!

Nice! And I agree. I’ve been trying to find great shoes that aren’t plated and this was exactly what I was looking for.
Thanks for the perfect review. I've ridden the first 30 kilometers so far and am very satisfied with the SL2.
Thank you!
My SL2 has crossed the 600 km mark and I think it can do another 600 km. Simply lovely!
Nice! That’s some really good mileage for the SL2!
The Evo SL is a great shoe to pair with this.
The evo SL is on my list of shoes to get next!

Yea sizing is going to be hit or miss for everyone. TTS worked for me, but I know it won’t for everyone. Glad to hear going up in size worked for you!

Nice. Thanks. Would be nice to compare it to the Evo SL and see how much better that is.?
Evo SL is on my list of shoes to try once available. Really excited about that shoe and wonder how it will compare to the SL2.

Yes go for half size bigger for better fit
Nice review 👍🏻 Did you try the Zoom Fly 6 ?
Thanks! And I have not yet. I want to though to see how it compares to the 5. I’m worried it’s going to be a brick similar to the 5 though haha.

Better than the EVO SLs for daily training.
Good to know! Evo SL is on my list of shoes to try.
Adidas recommends going up a size on their website.

Bummer to hear the fit is off around the ankle. And I agree with you on the half size up.
Can the Adizero sl 2 double as a walking shoe?
Yes
Doesn't fit me.
That’s a bummer. I would recommend trying half to full size up depending on how small the shoe was on you.
