Totally agree about Tesco... has suddenly become so expensive!!! And so difficult to get clubcard points. Have also switched to a cheaper supermarket which I never thought I would do 😂
I’ve really appreciated the openness of going from one to two. Magnus is 18 months old and we STILL don’t have a kitchen or downstairs as we’re renovating ourselves and he was a challenging baby (would only contact sleep for 14 months). With me going back to work at 6 weeks and husband taking pat leave it meant no work on the house. Then I’ve had to have 3 surgeries, then Covid and all the nursery bugs. It’s been so hard. And this has opened my eyes to the truth about the struggles. We’re definitely going to go for a larger age gap when the house is in a good state and we have spare rooms for granny to stay. If not if could genuinely break me. It’s sad about the age gap being bigger than hoped for but it’ll definitely be the right thing to do! Thank you Shan ❤
It seems you are in a much better place now and I‘m so so happy for you that Ash is back and you got more support. I agree with you: shout out to all the single and solo parents! And thank you so much for being so honest about everything. Btw: George „sorry“ is just the cutest 🥹
Hack to doing the shop with George, use the scan as you go and give him the scanner to scan the items. My son who's a couple of months younger than George loves it. This might help when Hallie is old enough to be put in the trolley with him x
I do this and I turn the trolley round like the tik tok hack, so they’re at the front and you push from the back/side and tell them they’re driving (I do all the sound effects 😂) and my son loves it. So he drives round and has to spot what’s next on the list and take us there. I also give him a list with say 5 simple items written in big letters to find in the shop, which I think has hugely helped with his phonics and reading, even if he can just tell M the first letter we hen sound out the word, then go and find it. Putting all these things together with the scanner makes it a game for him and keeps me sane 😂
Honestly going from one to two was horrendous. It broke my heart. Felt nothing but guilt. But it gets easier, well done for continuing to breast feed. I would have given up by now. Especially when you were on your own.
You deserve to hear that you’re amazing! Motherhood is such an important role

Beautiful video. How old is George? He speaks very fluently. My 2 Yr boy I'd still not talking
Love your positivity. ❤
