If you liked Dimmu Borgir more than Immortal I can suggest to you a couple of songs more on the melodic side and both bands personally got me into black metal years ago:
1) *Satyricon - Mother North Live At The Opera* (this version with the live choir is just amazing)
2) *Dissection - Where Dead Angels Lie* (they were great live, there's a video which also has subtitles, I don't know if I can post links but you can search for "5 / 13 - Dissection - Where Dead Angels Lie - SUBTITLED || TRADUZIDO - FULL HD")
I hope you check them out, they are accessible bands, especially Dissection since is more melodic death/black metal but they really don't sacrifice quality or the atmospheric aspect of black metal.

Immortal is pretty cool. Love their gimmick. Check these out for some dark serious black metal, Burzum - Lost Wisdom, Mayhem - Freezing Moon and honestly anything from Darkthrone. Btw Varg who created Burzum was in Immortal. Also these bands sound totally different and are the founders of the second wave of black metal or Norwegian black metal which influenced modern metal that uses black metal elements.

Im already a big fan of alestorm. The frame behind my head is a alestorm setlist from when i saw them live. I will do a reaction to there new music though. Thanks for the suggestion.
