Love this review. Pegasus 36 Trail are my favorite trail shoes and I love the comparison here. All the other reviews are just comparing to the Trail 2.
Cheers Austin! They probably never ran in the Peg 36 Trail, hence not realising how great they were! :) fingers crossed the Trail 4 moves even closer towards the 36 Trail :)
Nice informative video, thanks! One question please: since you had also the 2 version, do they fit in the same way? With the 2 version I feel the toebox a little “snug” do you think the 3 has that tiny bit of more room in front that I would find perfect for me...? Thanks in advance!
Thank you for the review! I also love the trail 36 shoes and have luckily found them still on stock. But now I can't find my size anymore. For me it's always a big turn off if the shoe goes up in weight! what is the weight difference between 36 og 3? Does model 3 feel too soft or too high and make running heavier? Do you like any other trail shoes from Nike? I'm going to run a 100km trail race this week and I wonder if I should switch from 36 to 3 at 50km or do the whole race with same 36 shoes?
Hey Saana! For a US (M) Size 10 the weight of the shoes are as follows: Pegasus Trail 3 - 321.4g, 11.33oz Pegasus 36 Trail - 292.8g, 10.3oz So that makes the Pegasus Trail 3 about 10% heavier. The midsole in the Peg 36 Trail used Zoom foam, while the Peg Trail 3 uses React midsoles (which is much softer underfoot) - I preferred the zoom for technical trails. But react is good for non technical solid surfaces like road and buffed trails. I would prefer the stack height of the Peg Trail 3 to be lower… I like the Terra Kiger from the Nike range - but I would recommend Checking out Inov8 Terrafly Ultra G300 max - they feel quite similar to the peg 36 trail! :) Hope that helps a bit, and good luck in your race!! -Alastair

Yes the 2,3, and 4 all feel similar to one another.

Hi! I have a question. Are the shoes waterproof? Thanks for the answer.
Hey 👋🏼 no these aren’t waterproof. A GTX version will arrive in the fall I imagine
Let me know if you have any questions about these trail running shoes.
Are they more similar to the Peg Trail 1 or 2? The Peg Trail 1 or 36 was such a great shoe.
They’re Definitely a hybrid as the midsole cushion feels just like the peg trail 2, however the rest is much more like the peg 36 trail 👍🏼
Are they flexy or stiff & Cool Vest, whats the brand? TY
