Watching him do this all out of order after watching John Wolfe determined to get everything on par years ago was giving me anxiety XD "Wait, YoU cAn'T dO mR. bOaR sEcOnD!"
You probably don't care but I had to check out his playthrough after your comment and it was very satisfying with getting all the stars, but something about Jacob understanding who the characters are and somewhat knowing the lore makes his playthrough better for me.
@@jordyn7511 I enjoyed John not knowing the lore when it came to hotel, especially with how well he connects the dots in the rest of his playthrough of the entire franchise.
The game guides the player to the correct order of rooms to tackle (Mr. Owl, Mr. Crow, falling star, white wine, red wine). The updated version of Hotel that Jacob's playing allows players to return to all guests' rooms to find any missing ingredients. For people who didn't play Hotel or didn't get all the stars, the Rusty Lake devs included a hint to the secret code somewhere in the Cube Escape Collection version of Harvey's Box (in a very fitting place, considering (humanoid) Harvey's relationship to Mr. Owl!)
Not finishing all dinners with three stars won't affect overall gameplay for a small exception of getting all achievements, so you won't miss anything!
Getting the code will give us an extra scene on another game tho
Hotel is kind of the standout in terms of having very specific orderings and similar things you need to be tracking across the game to get 100%.
The keys are the room keys of course but they go with the seals on each of the letters in the rooms.
They are on different letters in the rooms that have the seals of each guest and they go with the door numbers/keys
The lightbulb moment when he realizes their names and realizes what was on the menu 😅 you would think by now he would know that there was killing involved. I mean one of the famous lines there will be blood 😅
In Rusty Lake, when you see an animal, the puzzle involves either killing the animal, or making it poop.
I love all of the rusty lake games

Liquid puzzle was hard but I knew about it with different hidden object games that I played.
My bf thought it was cute of me, wanting him to play this as I instruct him.
But soon I start going at it like, WAIT you can't do THAT FIRST, did you even pick up that glass of wine BEFORE leaving that scenario? otherwise you will NEVER be able to create the perfect upcoming dinner and LOSE the chance to earn ALL achievements.
At some point, he literally STOPPED clicking on his own and would only continue clicking on anything at all, once I tell him he can continue to move on, there's nothing else left to do in that scenario/room.
I might've broke him.

literally i feel bad coz I'm yelling at screen like "noooo why did you put it back in the 5!" but i also know had i played the game i also would have sucked at it XD
I keep noticing him get stuck in loops of trying the same options lately, but yes, it always seems simpler if you just observe.
Not me over on the other side of the screen getting a frustrated over one little piece of the music box, too. 😂
If you ever wanted to play the game over again, I have a hints to help! For each recipe, the extras in the left hand side are in the lobby. And the extras on the right hand side are in the room. Another hint is to start with Mr. Deer 🦌 and end with Mr. Boar 🐗. Hope it helps😁
If you replay Birthday to the where you unlock the cabinet with the snow globe, if you complete the meals to all 3 stars you get a score. And the scores # can be used in the Birthday game for the snow globe for one of the hind/extra achievements.
after you killed Mr Rabbit i guess the camera wanted to do a magic trick too and turn gaussian blur on 😂😂
4 in the 8 bottle, 5 in the 5 bottle, and 2 in the 6 bottle. Then pour 5 in the 8 bottle so there would be 9 and pour the 2 from the 6 bottle in the 5 bottle. Fill up the 6 bottle so you have 3 in the 8 bottle . Then fill up the 5 so you have 5 in the 5 bottle and 3 in the 6 bottle. Then pour all of 5 in the 8 bottle and it will be 8.

(4+5=9),(0),(2)
(9),(0),(2-2=0)
(9),(0+2=2),(0)
(9-6=3),(2),(0)

It's really sad that a fan of this franchise like him isn't attentive. I would have loved to see his réaction discovering that we play as harvey in this game. These games are made for 100% completion he is missing out on a lot of stuff !
Also hope that matpat didn't forget to play the past within !
