Thank you 😊 The sunset was a very memorable moment, so peaceful sat there, with not a soul around. Would love to visit Australia it looks amazing, hopefully some day. Take care, Paul

Delighted to find your channel. Great film of this wonderful place. Sionascaig...even its beautiful name stirs the emotions. What a wonderful place and so glad to see it again through your excellent film.
Absolutely love this. So well filmed and edited and I actually appreciate how you haven't put in annoying music. Just the sounds of nature. Your dog is amazing as well! More videos please!
Thank you. To add music or not, it's a tough one. Everyone loves the sound of nature, but sometimes I think a bit of music helps add a little emotion. Anyway, glad you enjoyed it. All the best, Paul
@When Nature Pauls after I commented I noticed you did have a little music but they were good choices that didn't distract from the main story. Looking forward to more videos 😁
Thank you, it was a good trip! Also looking forward to May. Im away at the moment and have limited Internet. But, I've Subbed you and look forward to checking out your channel properly when I return. See you soon, Paul.
A relaxing enjoyable trip. You are lucky to have a companion. My border collie is scared of the canoe and does not fit in my kayak! Greetings from Northern Ontario Canada. Soon I can get out kayaking and camping.
Yeah keeps me sane. Indy does get bit unsettled on rapids or choppy water, but he is pretty good on the whole. I've got a trip planned to Algonquin later this year cannot wait!!! Amazing place! Take care, Paul
Thanks again James, I really like this area always so quiet. Been on another trip to assynt last weekend, so hopefully that'll be ready soon. All the best, Paul
I would also love to explore the loch a little more, but then there is so many to explore. If you haven't looked already, I did a small trip on the neighbouring cam and veyati lochs you might like. All the best, Paul
What a great trip and video, I can see I need to get my canoe to Scotland but it’s a long drive for me in the south of France. just came across your channel so I subscribed. Cheers
You've got some beautiful spots down there! I canoed some of the ardeche when I was a boy, was absolutely stunning. Thanks for your support. All the best Paul
Your doggie has super cute hair 😂love the films too. Just got back from 3 days wild camping kayak adventure in Ireland… heading out again next weekend it’s always good peaceful fun..
😂 It's a beautiful area! Yes, it was very stupid of me. I was so conscious of the cracks and stepped over many, but I was right at the end and in my head had made it 😂 and it was so well hidden 😏
Another great little adventure and lovely film in an outstandingly beautiful area. Again some amazing footage and dam we are lucky to be able to have these adventures and share them with our dogs. Have a great weekend Atb Rick n Billydog
Cheers Rick 👍 I really enjoyed this one. The sunset was so beautiful, well worth the hike up the hill, even with a dodgy toe. Thanks for watching and commenting. Take care, Paul
Cheers mate! If anything I usually end up taking extra litter home. But not this time, I think it's out of reach to most ferrel campers. Thanks for watching 👍
Paul I'm glad Simon gave you a shout out on rick t,s Scottish canoe challenge 👍 brilliantly filmed and a very good channel 👌 so very nice to see you using steve,s firebox stove 👏👏 personally I think it's the best stove out there 👍 loving the content and your layed back approach 🇬🇧🛶🔥⛺️🥩🐾🙌👍
Thank you Martin 👍 Simon is a top bloke! It is an excellent firebox, very robust and great for canoe trips, lthough I have just bought myself a lighter ti one for walks. Glad you enjoyed the video, take care, Paul
Sailing across after a portage - very pleasant indeed Paul. Took you a while to find a place to pitch but what a place. Patience is a virtue and its own reward. Nice dip in the water. Yeah, gotta watch them injuries - the toe looked soar. And that slip into the crevice on the other portage could have been worse. Thankfully a great adventure, which the dog enjoyed to. Good going. I enjoyed that and the views very much. All the best. Mark

Thank you TJ. I'm glad the video gives the impression I'm organised 😂 Can't wait for you to join me on a future one 😁 The toe is already looking much better cheers 👍
Just occasionally the you tube suggestions are spot on, and this is definitely one of those times, quality vid, and I agree with weekend with bevo blog, definite paddle envy
Thank you Richard for such an encouraging message, I'm really glad you enjoyed it! I can definitely recommend the route. Having recently moved to Scotland I have quite a list of lochs and rivers I intend to explore in the Highlands in the near future. Thanks again, all the best Paul.
Great trip Paul I applaud you because I had a Broadland 16 and it’s not a light boat. Fantastic location Scotland is definitely on my list for a canoe trip.

Thank you Wendy 😊 This was a good trip! I'm glad to have you, thanks for watching and commenting and I hope you enjoy the rest of my videos. Take care, Paul
brilliant mate. take extra care with your legs and feet when out alone. you need those bad boys more than you need food and drink. also just an observation. you could have left the tent at home and used the canoe as your shelter. buy yourself some mesh to throw over the canoe and use rocks to pin it out. or buy a Tarp and some para strings. it will make pitching up so much faster and simpler.. may as well utilize the canoe as a shelter.
Thank you, certainly wasn't the plan to fall down the hole, I was being so careful aswell 😂 I've used a tarp canoe combo before for camping a few times, including one I filmed on here, it is a great way to camp. But I do like a tent and my dog definitely settles a lot better when he is more enclosed. Thank you for watching and all the best, Paul
Fantastic...and nice weather too! Such a great area to explore for sure...lots of interesting and scenic sights for sure! Looks like Indiana knows the way...love it! Take great care and hope you are looking forward to a wonderful week! Bruce and Otis...and a big ole tail wag!
Thank you my friend 👍 Weather was pretty good on the whole was fairly windy on way back though but a good workout! He thinks he knows the way 😂 Thanks for watching, Paul
Canoes are great for getting to those harder to reach spots and of course you've got plenty of load space for multi day trips (or tins of vocation 😂) Thanks for watching and thanks for commenting. Paul.
Nice video, Paul! This place is usually wet, cold and full of midges. I previously cut my foot badly on broken glass someone left at one of these beaches. Thanks being a responsible wild camper!
Thanks for watching. Yes I had great weather. The midges were about in the morning, but not too bad. Don't get me started about irresponsible campers my dog rolled in human s#*t today, it is so frustrating! And broken glass! What is wrong with people! 😤 But, thanks for watching and take care, Paul
Good stuff Paul. Enjoyed your trip, attitude and whole presentation. My wife and I just completed 150 (10 days) miles in a kayak back here in South Africa to raise money for Sea Resque. Love your best friend ❤
Enjoying seeing your forays by canoe. You seem to have plenty of enthusiasm and are been sensible in regards your skills, as to the places and environments you're visiting. I'm in Knoydart and also know all the areas you seem to have been rather well. Matt T (SOTP)
Thanks Matt 👍 Loving living up here with regards to the outdoors, it is beautiful! Yes, Plenty of enthusiasm, just need more free time 😂 Thanks for watching, Paul. SOTP? Song of the paddle?
I really enjoyed your video and the scenery was stunning, especially the reflections in the water, last thing at night as the light faded. I like your Silverbirch canoe and it didn’t look too difficult to portage over the rough terrain.
Thank you 😊 It was an superb evening, I don't think the camera/me even did it justice! I wouldn't complain if it was a bit lighter 😂 but once its up on your shoulders its pretty manageable. Take care, Paul
Hi Paul, just wanted to thank you for posting this. Lovely to see Indy along for the ride. I'm relatively new to kayaking and have a few camps planned for this year, although nowhere quite as remote. The little bit of sailing looked ace. You've got me thinking of buying a kayak sail. Wonderful, inspiring stuff.
Thank you Graham 😁 I'm quite lucky up here with many places to visit. I really enjoy the sailing in the canoe, just a shame it won't tack against the wind. Thanks for watching, Paul
Just a guy and his dog on a trek through the Highlands. I envy you man sometimes it feels like that's the type of thing that's needed to disconnect from the norms of everyday life for a bit.
Allo guys just found ya care of Eze an his recommendation to look you up. Sadly the camera doesn’t do the landscape justis, but without pro 70plus mm type filmin it very difficult . Nice. Im in the process of buying a new drop stitch yak to go exploring this autumn, and this is one of the places I want to go. You seem to have all your ducks in a row, but if I can give you a bit of advice for future trips around Scotland, it would be to learn to pronounce the names of these places properly. It makes it a lot easier for local rescue services to find you if you get into trouble.
Oh nice 👌 I am sorry for my woeful pronunciation, I realise it must be border line insulting 😬 Believe it or not I do try to learn the proper pronunciation (and I am keen to). I need to find a local in each area as its really hard to find the pronunciation as an audio online and I always end up with different variations and then I totally forget them when filming. Other that I hope you enjoyed the video All the best, Paul
@@WhenNaturePauls most non gaelic speakers have trouble, and those awful online translations are worse than useless, but if you can remember a few rules of grammar you'll get pretty close most of the time. For example, Si and Se make a Sh sound, and G is often a hard C, so Sionasgaig is pronounced Shonaskay. Any time Im out in the remote highlands, I let the local rescue services know where Im planning to go and when I plan to be back. Theyre the best source of local knowledge, and a big part of that is knowing how to pronounce where you are. good luck
Another great video Cus! It’s becoming quite the habit of mine watching one WNP video each Sunday evening, find them very relaxing before a week of work so if you could make sure there is at least one new video a week that would be just great! 😂 . I also want to know the real truth about how many beers before the toe incident?! Haha
😂 I wish I could do one every week! And I had no drink at that point 😂 I only take one (sometimes two) anyway 😉 Thanks for watching cus and for commenting 👍 hopefully I'll get to make a fair few next year and if you're ever passing, come along. Take care, Paul
Nice one mate. Looked like you got some good weather, I was there a couple of weeks ago and it was blowing a gale, ended up camping in Boat Bay as Sionasgaig was blown out. If you can get up that way easy enough it's worth exploring Loch Veyatie, at the top end a river flows into Fionn Loch which looks like it could be an interesting route. I managed to just get to the top of Veyatie but didn't have the time to head up the river. ATB 👍
Cheers mate! Yes weather was pleasant, couldnt ask for much better really. I got the route from the Scottish Canoe Classics and it had a route on Loch Veyatie but I couldn't see any decent parking on Google maps? It's not too far for me to go so will definitely give it a shot in the future. All the best, Paul.
@@WhenNaturePauls Aye the parking isn't very obvious. If you head out of Elphin towards the Ledmore junction, about 100 meters before the bridge over the Ledmore river there's a lay-by on the left with a wooden gate and a number of small fishing boats. I left my truck there for 3 days. Launch into the river then head into Cam Loch, portage over the falls and into Loch Veyatie by the old fish farm. Alternatively, there is a road from Elphin to the fish farm but the gate is now locked, it would be a relatively straight forward portage from there with a canoe trolley. Give it a miss on a windy day though, it's brutal! ATB, Ben.
@@Adventure-Outdoors nice one, I appreciate it! I can see it on Google Street View. The second one you mention is where my book suggests but there looks like there is a sign there now saying no parking. But thanks for the info 👍 Also, looks like you have a great selection of videos, I've Subbed and will definitely have a good look through when I return home from holiday. Cheers again, Paul
Absolutely loved this Paul mate. What a place to camp, scenery was epic 🙌🏻 looking foward to getting up that way myself at some point 👌🏻 Hope the toe is better bud, atvb, Matt 👍🏻
Thanks Matt, plenty of spectacular places round there to visit! Just wish I had more free time. Toe is all back to normal now cheers 👍 I walked up that hill twice for the sunset 😂 the sun unexpectedly came out from behind the clouds as soon as I got down the first time 🙄 and I couldn't resist going back up; don't think it did my toe any favours though 😂 Thanks for watching and all the best for the great Glen, Paul.
@@WhenNaturePauls haha made for some epic footage though mate 👌🏻 yeah same, really hoping I can get out on some longer trips later this year so I can nake the drive up there worthwhile 😂😂 thanks Paul. Will have to sort a trip out at some point 👍🏻
To anyone who speaks Gaelic or who has bothered to find out about the place-names, watching these videos is painful. But it's well filmed and shows the landscape and route well. I like it. It would be good to get some commentary on the extremely degraded nature of the land due to over grazing of deer.
I'm sorry it pains you, but It's not fair to say I haven't bothered, it's really difficult to research how to pronounce many of these places, aswell as lots of confliction. Most of the time I hear the names of places spoken it seems to be spoken wrong, I am completely new to Gaelic and it definitely doesn't come naturally, however I do try. I've touched on the degraded landscape a little (not this video) and no doubt will in the future, but I recommend having a look at Highland woodsman channel he is far more knowledgeable then me on such matters.
Great video, looks a beautiful area, I might get up there with my Kayak at some point. I've been watching similar videos filmed in the Yukon ( Jim Baird ) and all the time I'm looking for bears turning up, in yours I'm wondering where Mel Gibson is 🤣 any idea the best time of spring/summer to avoid mosquitoes and midges?
😂 I reckon I'd rather take on a bear than an angry highland clansman 😂 The midges can get really bad on the west coast, may or September are you usually ok (depending on temperatures), July and August are the worst. A decent breeze will keep them away though. Take care, Paul
Hi Paul, I'm Andy from Brandon, I came across your RUclips channel whilst looking for paddling on the river ouse which I fancy doing, really enjoyed this trip you had..well jell mate 👍..always fancied a trip like this. The family one up stac polly was awesome Also. Keep up the good work and look forward to more videos. Iv just bought a trek pole 1 man tent and fancy an overnight in the woods as a little adventure :)
Hi Andy, do we know each other? Thanks for watching 👍 The little ouse is a lovely little river to paddle and great to have on the doorstep. Thank you for your support and I'm glad you enjoy my videos. All the best Paul.
@@WhenNaturePauls Hi, no we wouldn't know each other, I'm originally from Newark on Trent but moved here a few years ago . I was spoil being up north as I had the Peak District on my door step and spent most weekends up there camp climbing walking etc, tbh I do find Suffolk very boring in comparison that's why I'm looking to do things like paddling the river etc. The things I do enjoy down here is the sense of community, folks seem very friendly, the lack of traffic and cars etc and it does feel very stress free compared to the midlands, the midlands is very busy !!
@@zeitgieistbeliever 😂 I know what you mean. The closest to a national park round there is the broads, which is also good for paddling if you haven't already, although cruiser boat traffic can be an issue. Also the wissey from Hilgay is quite a nice paddle, I've seen otters on there.
It is stunning there! In hindsight I think maybe my toe was broken having spoken to others. But I don't believe there is much you can do for a broken toe anyway. Thanks for watching watching 👍 All the best, Paul
Another just awesome video Paul! The scenery is just so so beautiful I can’t wait to explore Scotland one day!!! That toe looked so painful! And you’re so lucky you didn’t badly injure yourself falling in that deep crack! Do you have a way of calling for help when you’re out in camps like that in the middle of nowhere? So beautiful thank you for sharing! 😃
Thanks again Karen for watching, I thoroughly enjoyed this trip! 😂 Yes it was a bit sore. That last fall was a bit stupid, there was a fair few of those obscured drops on that portage and I was being extra careful, that one was right at the end and I let my guard down I think. But no, I don't have any sort of device for calling for help and I never have a phone signal on any of my Scottish trips. I should really invest in something and I will do, but they are not cheap 😂 Take care, Paul
@@WhenNaturePauls yes of course! When things like slipping down that hole happen though I though crap! Imagine laying there for hours and hours waiting someone to hopefully come looking! Scary! Will check out that Garmin thank you x
Another amazing adventure what’s the model of the canoe? I know it’s a custom SB but based on what model? Please. and is that the one you would recommend for a mix range of paddling? i.e. white water up to class three. some lakes and a little bit of sea.
Thank you and Sorry for late reply. It's the broadband 15, I just had the inside coloured red. It's based on the prospector design which is largely accepted as being a good all rounder and workhorse. It suits me perfectly, would be nice if it was a bit lighter but it is very durable.
Love your videos, especially in Scotland. I’m looking at getting my first canoe for couple night camping trips, would you recommend a solo or 2 seat canoe like yours? Is it easy to paddle on your own when loaded with gear? Thanks
Glad to hear it! My 15ft suits me perfectly, would be nice if it were a bit lighter, but its easy enough to handle solo, the size enables me to carry a decent load of kit and I can also paddle tandem with limited kit. A comparative 14ft will of course be lighter and be more agile but probably wont track as good, would struggle to paddle tandem and would,nt be capable of carrying as much kit.. I also wanted the prospector profile as its a good all rounder and is seldom found in 14ft boats. I guess I would recommend a 15ft as that's the conclusion I came to, however it does depend how you are going to use it. Hope that helps, be nice to know what you decide on, Paul
I too would get a 15' canoe for solo use, it will give you plenty of luggage space and is also useable as a tandem. As Paul says, it will also track (go in a straight line) better. Would you be mostly paddling solo?
I wouldn't mind one, definitely be good for some adventures. But Im a canoeist through and through 😁 I reckon a pack raft would of struggled against the wind and not sure how well it would withstand indy 😂 Thanks for watching, all the best, Paul
Superb video, I’m currently waiting on delivery of my first canoe, I also have a spaniel, how easy was it to get Indy accustomed to the boat, my pip loves to swim, I’m wondering if he’ll just keep diving in lol
Thank you. New canoe, exciting! my indy also loves the water. The first time I took him out he jumped in after some ducks, right in the middle of Coniston 😂 he panicked when he couldn't get back in and hasn't done it since (except right near the bank). But, he is pretty good with the command "stay". The main reason he has a life jacket is because the handle on top makes it easy to lift him in. All the best, Paul
Thank you, He usually has half a tin of butchers, mixed with wainwrights dog biscuit. But when we are away I give him a whole tin so I don't have to store it. And a dentastik for dessert 🐶
Thank you 👍 It's a Tiley hat made in Canada they come with a life time guarantee and available online and lots of outdoor shops. Take care, thanks for watching, Paul.
Simply stunning views of your journey - toe injury excluded lol - and great commentary on the route you've taken. I've just finished building my own canoe so will be getting out on my own adventures soon. Can I ask what tent you use and what would you recommend?
Thank you Stuart, the whole area round there is stunning! Would love to build my own canoe! Wooden I presume? The tent I used was a wild country zephyros 2, Its a good little tent for the price, but all depends on what you are using it for. All the best, Paul.
@@WhenNaturePauls yeah, it's marine ply with ash seats. Took an age to build but I'm very pleased with it. Thanks for the info on the tent. I'll mainly be using it as an over nighter or couple of nights trekking along in the canoe, so don't need anything too large, plus I need to save space and weight. Cheers, Stu
@@stuartedmond7372 be extremely satisfying to paddle your own creation I think. There is a multitude of tents to choose from and lots to consider, but generally you get what you pay for. Good luck on your tent and on your adventures! 👍
I live up there and I’ve owned springer spaniels all my life. Best place in the world to live and raise a family. All my kids have grown up and left home and they grew up the same way I did - learning to swim in the sea, wandering in the hills and playing outside until it gets dark…which it doesn’t really in the midsummer. Anyway, I enjoyed this video very much. Tourists don’t often make an effort to respect the land and will leave junk, start fires where they shouldn’t and leave gates open. They’ll let their dogs chase the sheep and it’s nice to see someone who takes care to enjoy our home without making a mess or being a nuisance. It’s getting busier every year up here and if everyone treated the wild, anywhere in the country, like this guy then there’d be no hassle about wild campers.
It's a beautiful area, I'm very envious. I've seen many times the aftermath left behind by disrespectful campers. Baffles me why people head to these beauty spots and ruin them. I always try to impact as little as I can and usually end up taking someone elses rubbish back. It's cumulative and even the smallest damage soon adds up and can quickly ruin an area. Hopefully anyone seeing my videos and heading to these areas will then treat them with the same respect. Anyway, thank you for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed it, Paul
Thank you 👍 The frame is from my backpack (swedish lk35) and I just ratchet strapped the barrel to it. I do believe you can buy a dedicated barrel backpack though. Thanks for watching. All the best, Paul
This trip is on my list. Need a lighter boat first though. My 158 disco at 39.5kg wouldn't be fun on those portages. I notice you don't have a kneeling thwart in your broadland. Are you doing all your solo paddling from the stern steat?
Hi, yes it's a awesome trip! Might be a bit of a struggle on your own, mine is around 32kg but is fairly comfortable to carry. I don't have a kneeling thwart, I find it more comfortable without one just on my knees. When I have the dog and sail, I usually do paddle from the stern it feels pretty well balanced. If I'm on my own, I'll sit on the front seat effectively going backwards and dropping to my knees when I need to, unless Im using the sail which is held in the front seat. I hope that makes sense 😂 it is a bit of a compromise but works well for me and gives me more options. Hope that answered it, all the best, Paul.
@@WhenNaturePauls yeah, I have a kneeling thwart in mine but to be honest I'm thinking of taking it out. I've paddled it backwards from the bow seat just fine and no kneeling thwart would give me more room in the boat. I wondered about you paddling from the bow seat. I thought that sailing seat might make it a little uncomfortable.
@@brian_ward_outdoors the seat is a little chunkier, but I've never felt uncomfortable. If I'd of put the sail on the stern sit it would of been quite a way forward when I paddled backwards from the bow. If that makes sense 🤪

A relaxing enjoyable trip. You are lucky to have a companion. My border collie is scared of the canoe and does not fit in my kayak! Greetings from Northern Ontario Canada. Soon I can get out kayaking and camping.

brilliant mate. take extra care with your legs and feet when out alone. you need those bad boys more than you need food and drink. also just an observation. you could have left the tent at home and used the canoe as your shelter. buy yourself some mesh to throw over the canoe and use rocks to pin it out. or buy a Tarp and some para strings. it will make pitching up so much faster and simpler.. may as well utilize the canoe as a shelter.
Thank you, certainly wasn't the plan to fall down the hole, I was being so careful aswell 😂
I've used a tarp canoe combo before for camping a few times, including one I filmed on here, it is a great way to camp. But I do like a tent and my dog definitely settles a lot better when he is more enclosed.

Oh nice 👌
I am sorry for my woeful pronunciation, I realise it must be border line insulting 😬
Believe it or not I do try to learn the proper pronunciation (and I am keen to). I need to find a local in each area as its really hard to find the pronunciation as an audio online and I always end up with different variations and then I totally forget them when filming.
Other that I hope you enjoyed the video
All the best, Paul
@@WhenNaturePauls most non gaelic speakers have trouble, and those awful online translations are worse than useless, but if you can remember a few rules of grammar you'll get pretty close most of the time. For example, Si and Se make a Sh sound, and G is often a hard C, so Sionasgaig is pronounced Shonaskay. Any time Im out in the remote highlands, I let the local rescue services know where Im planning to go and when I plan to be back. Theyre the best source of local knowledge, and a big part of that is knowing how to pronounce where you are.
good luck

But thanks for the info 👍

@@WhenNaturePauls I mean the landscape is degraded by deer, not you.
😂 I reckon I'd rather take on a bear than an angry highland clansman 😂
The midges can get really bad on the west coast, may or September are you usually ok (depending on temperatures), July and August are the worst. A decent breeze will keep them away though.
Take care, Paul

@@WhenNaturePauls Hi, no we wouldn't know each other, I'm originally from Newark on Trent but moved here a few years ago . I was spoil being up north as I had the Peak District on my door step and spent most weekends up there camp climbing walking etc, tbh I do find Suffolk very boring in comparison that's why I'm looking to do things like paddling the river etc. The things I do enjoy down here is the sense of community, folks seem very friendly, the lack of traffic and cars etc and it does feel very stress free compared to the midlands, the midlands is very busy !!

Another amazing adventure
what’s the model of the canoe? I know it’s a custom SB but based on what model?
Please. and is that the one you would recommend for a mix range of paddling? i.e. white water up to class three. some lakes and a little bit of sea.
Thank you and Sorry for late reply. It's the broadband 15, I just had the inside coloured red. It's based on the prospector design which is largely accepted as being a good all rounder and workhorse. It suits me perfectly, would be nice if it was a bit lighter but it is very durable.
Shameful pronunciation? I love the accent! Scotland rocks!
Greetings from Greece! Keep hiking
Loch Beinn a' Mheadhoin is not pronounced anything like how I said it 😂
Holidayed in Greece a couple of times, beautiful place!
All the best, Paul
Thanks for the reply both, much appreciated. Yes I would mainly be solo , with occasional tandem
I can't tell you for certain, but it sounds like a 15ft will be well suited. Please let me know how you get on?
Have you looked into packrafts? It would make any portages much easier.
I wouldn't mind one, definitely be good for some adventures. But Im a canoeist through and through 😁
I reckon a pack raft would of struggled against the wind and not sure how well it would withstand indy 😂
Thanks for watching, all the best, Paul

Thank you, He usually has half a tin of butchers, mixed with wainwrights dog biscuit. But when we are away I give him a whole tin so I don't have to store it. And a dentastik for dessert 🐶
Great video. Where did you get your hat?
Thank you 👍
It's a Tiley hat made in Canada they come with a life time guarantee and available online and lots of outdoor shops.
Great video, you've earned yourself a new subscriber. I've not seen the barrel backpack before, where did you get it from?
Thank you 👍
The frame is from my backpack (swedish lk35) and I just ratchet strapped the barrel to it.
I do believe you can buy a dedicated barrel backpack though.
Thanks for watching.
All the best, Paul
@@WhenNaturePauls thanks Paul, you can get dedicated, I couldn't find one that looked like yours, now I know why.
@@howardsmith2 the Lk35 used to be dirt cheap, but not anymore.
I guess you could use any old external framed pack though.
A. Bit of advice anyone.
14ft venture canoe any good for going solo on lochs ?
Thx
Yeah be fine 👍 Ranger 149 I presume? I've paddled one on open water, a while ago but I seem to recall it tracked quite well for its shorter length.
