mammoth is the big divider. If you can never leave, you're just a hound in disguise, if you leave in less than 1 month, you're gucci
as a serious player who has gone competitive, what i can say is: rank with at least a duo, going solo is wishing to be tortured. Also, don't try new characters in rank, QM is there for practice and throwing, so use it. If you just want essences, play hunter, that way you aren't throwing someone else's match. Rank is a competitive mode, be ready to be dissed if you aren't up to par in skills.

I’m a hunter main and the mammoths I go against are literally probably the most basic players I’ve gone against but when I play survivor my randoms have literally lost their brain or it’s just fried

I feel you deserve respect for even doing rank solo, I used to do rank solo but I learned it’s better with a team, since you know, coms, teamwork and good support

I got back to idv this season, the same day you could get faro lady from the essence. I had to rank up from hound 1 all the way up to griffin 3.
Mammoth was a dark place where I had to pray my teammates could kite and save so I would always stay near the hunter to take first kite if I could. Those chases led to wins and ties when I played by my own, but the worst part is, I play cheerleader and fire investigator which are good kiters however, I realized if I’m not first kite, I have limited support as either character, and even then I still need the kiter to be good enough for them to maximize my support capabilities.
My friend has it easy as an antiquarian main, they can kite, they can harass, and safely save most of the time. They can do anything and help a teammate out with a single button.
That’s when I realized I was playing rank all wrong. I simply need to be a harasser to carry my team when I play solo.
Other than that, griffin was heaven sent with map selection.
It really depends imo.vlike, either you're the Ultraman or the teletubbies XD
I understand the comparison aspect as well, but you're fine on you're own!! I also solo rank and that makes it harder. U.u Surprisingly, mammoths on pc haven't been that bad for me, but it's only bc matchmaking is giving us croc hunters. Keep going and ty for the relatable content!

I've got matches so so much with griffins and mammoths when i was an elk, and they were actually WORSE THAN ELKS I PLAYED WITH 😭 Now that I'm a mammoth because my friend lured me in by no bots promises, and i get matches w/ griffins and alicorns , and even sometimes champions in duos, IT'S EVEN WORSE SOMEHOW?? Like it doesn't get better at all, i get A badge hunters, and survivors who do nothing but harass 😟 and harass terribly, at that.
Alicorn is kinda have sense. Griffins are braindead sometimes, but almost every mammoth I see failed at rescuing istg
I remember the times when I got reset to mammoth… thank god I’ve secured a spot in alicorn so I don’t have to go back to that cursed realm…
But yeah, as a fellow solo ranker- I think getting out of mammoth means you have to have good game sense, not necessarily good teammates or anything else. You can turn the game around all by yourself by making a decision for the team. You can’t rely on your teammates in that tier, something I learned early on. But that also means you have to be fairly skilled in kiting if you’re first Chase since you can’t rely on your teammates- which is something you alrd pointed out in the vid XD
And I think the mammoth struggle also applies to the other higher tiers like griffin and alicorn- you may get better players but the issues of terror shocks and pops are still there since your randoms are unfortunately human and make mistakes.

Also true, getting to Mammoth is mega easy, but getting out of it either by ranking up or down, it ain't happening. I haven't touched my main account in like YEARS because queuing there is a effing nightmare (and mind you my tier reversed to Elk and it still taking years there (I ain't about to wait for 2 to 5 minutes for a single match where everyone dies, eff that)). I prefer having fun on my smurfs where I can ACTUALLY play the goddang game and not lobby simulator 🤡.
OH and BTW never reached Griffin but I've heard many people that did that, it does NOT get any better. Apparently it only gets worst so, if you got yourself to Mammoth and went toG Griffin, great job. You get to suffer even more 😁👍
I've been griffin before, it's more hectic there, but the waiting time is shorter
Being a returning player on season 28 (stopped playing in season 6), I actually managed to go from worker bee to griffin by purely soloing. Same thing with hunter. It was hell mainly because of long que times.

This video was both equally parts hilarious and painfully true ngl. Like some of the other people that have commented have stated though, don’t be so hard on yourself. I’m sure you mean what you have said about your gameplay in a mainly joking manner, but really dw you are going great. It’s all about having fun anyway, so just laugh of those mistakes and ignore those randoms 💖

Honestly I used to be tier 6 looong ago(one year) and now I am also stuck in the mammoth lmao but because of the boring gameplay as a survivor since I have forgotten how to kite and die quickly or just decode all the time I moved to hunter but the ping is killing sometimes but at least I have more fun and I am higher tier there I can't bare to wait 50 mins for one 4mis match as survivor 😭
4 Mins? I ain't lasted 4 mins. In 3 minutes everyone surrendered because there was one bonbon creating havoc in my match :')
I was able to survive mammoth rank and is in Griffon 4. I think you can do this! If I was able to get through it using minds eye, then you can too!
But yeah… play with friends or find people in a discord server to team up with.
Oh yeah! Long ranked time from tier 5+ is only 2 hours long. Starts and hour later and ends an hour early.

Been stuck in mammoth because I rarely rank now
as a griffin, it is sometimes just as bad 😔(I solo ranked most of the time during mammoth and griffin so imagine my pain 😭)
I remember in the previous season change (I was at mammoth) and dropped to elk so I played rank. the entire time I was questioning if my teammates were actually mammoths in the previous season because they were playing like newbies 😭
Well griffin is another stress after mammoth, although with quicker waiting time :D
I always do rank solo (i'm in elk) because i dont have friends, any of you know what do i have to do to make a team? It's so frustrating the randoms with no braincells left

Now I play legendary ranks when I'm not with them and it's true about the badges, but sometimes I doubt how they had those badges 😭

as an alicorn, never expect anything good in ranked matches, in higher tiers they get better but mammoth to alicorn it all the same flavor of mid in a way. they know how to play, they just don't play well

I FINALLY MADE TO GRIFFIN! I'm so happy- Mammoth was genuinely torture. Griffin is a little bit better because people dont throw as much. Can't wait to go through all of this again after rank reset :|

I am a mammoths I play with random BUT with randoms on chat (tips this is very good for couple of match or more. Depens on hunter 😂😂).

Awwww Silmina. Don't compare yourself to other IdVtubers. You're wonderful on your own, and even if you don't like to admit a LOT of us really look up to your kiting. Like you are ACTUALLY really good at the game. But if you keep comparing yourself to others, it'll make you disappointed in the amazing things you've already accomplished. Look at your channel, look at your gameplay, look at how many people you've managed to make smile and happy. @@SilminaIDV Oh you noticed? I didn't think you would remember me. That's very sweet, thank you ☺️, but yeah. I change it to Cherry Blossom Cookie, from Cookierun Kingdom. I just love his design so much and I got into Cookierun games like a few weeks ago. Honestly I have been playing Cookierun WAYYYY more than IdV and I've been having a BLAST (I even had to uninstall IdV cause... I don't have much space left 🤣).
Been playing Cookierun: Tower Of Adventures since the global launch, which is a really fun action kinda rpg game from the Cookierun series. If you're interested I really recommend it, and Ovenbreak as well. Ovenbreak is like those endless runners but imo, leagues better than any endless runner I've ever seen cause there's ACTUAL content in it
