Very nice James had a tidy up in my shack on Sunday found the source of some noise and removed also installed a permanent power supply to the shed shack along with a 1m earth rod, regards Tony M7CVK,
I totally stripped my shack last October and rebuilt it. Mine is a but simpler than yours as its outside in my shed but just having it the way I want it without excess redundant wires has made things so much more manageable.
Yep, I know the feeling. I previously had all the kit on a desk, which meant not much desk space & wires everywhere. This time I've put all of the radio gear into a rack on wheels. Seems to be working out great for me so far.
nice set up James, as said before, how the other half live hi. just one rig here 12v batts, one coax feeds two ants, home made rx ant switch cost 8 pounds, and never never ever need a amp, 10w ssb to vp8 from zl. 73 mate
Hi Brian. That's the great thing about this hobby. You can have a simple QRP station with a modest antenna setup, or you can go totally overkill with amplifiers, big antennas & all sorts of accessories. It's a personal preference. Me personally, I really enjoy keeping it simple & running QRP in the field, but I also enjoy running QRO from the home station........I think I get the best of both worlds.
Great video mate. Oh how the other half live. Must be terrible hihi.
😂 Great job/video.

Good stuff James. Very interesting to see how that all goes together. 😊
Neat job heaps better than my masking tape tags on the cables etc.

I am liking that automatic antenna switch setup a lot..thanks for sharing.
I like the fact that it works with virtually any radio with CAT control, so it's easy to switch out the radio of I need to.
@@AmateurRadioUK Yes i noticed it had good connectivity, something like that is on my want list.
Good on ya, looks a top set up
Nice shack James 👍
Thanks Duncan. Ongoing project but it is getting there!

No need for antenna switching as I married and only allowed one😂but I I was allowed another this is a really nice way to go.
My house my rules!
It's a simple choice of antenna or front door. So far, my partner has always chosen the antenna!!!
@@AmateurRadioUK oh Eck 😊
