We lived on Park Road from 2002 to 2010 I have some great memories of this place Thanks for this trip down memory lane Anna Nagar is one of the best places to live !!
One of my treasured roads. Olden days we used to roam around with our bicycles just to practice cycling. Then Bikes to practice 2 wheelers. Then car 😃The very last stretch/ tip of planned Annanagar aka Naduvakkarai gramam. Built in the form of matrix (like the maths book where the lines reflect roads and boxes reflect house plots) After this, the areas from the right will be unplanned. Dont know why they didnt do a similar job to the other areas. From Padi sivan kovil to annachi maanja kadai we used to frequent this place a lot. The stretch leading to Padi sivan temple has changed a lot (in a good way) but this area has largely left undisturbed from commercial settlements. A wonderful residential road. Old beauty of Annanagar Still intact. The building you see in @1:20 in the 90s used to be called Anjali movie building as it resembles the flats in that movie. My best friends home in that apartment @ 2:25. At 3:03 if you take a left you can come to my house. Feel free to drop in whenever you can 🤣🤣🤣 Will give you a gift for these wonderful videos
North road is the very last edge of Annanagar Satellite City in the northern side. Nice to see all homes i saw a good 2 decades ago still intact. Roads have never changed. These idiots still dont put a proper road which lasts a year. School road is a must visit place. Major landmarks in 2000s was Chennai Rawther Thalappakattu and Creamy inn restaurant. In the 90s it was only the last bit of Ganga Sweets which you can see at 5:41. That shop was called Tirunelveli Halwa stall. And that owner is the one who has now expanded his business and setup Ganga Sweets all over Chennai with his hardwork. His house can be reached if you turn left at 2:25 maybe like 10 yrs ago (not sure where he lives today). A few good ATMs and restaurants. Wonderful place. Wow! Police station has many storeys now. Thats the only major change. When i came for passport or Police clearance there used to be a HC (dont know his name). Had encountered police for a lot of adventures in our adventurous days but nothing serious🙃Golden era
