It’s crazy how expensive cars /suv are now days and not even supply a donut tire. We have military auto insurance so free towing for life. I’ll never change insurance they are wonderful! But omg I’d do the same as you are doing now. You just never know what can happen
You definitely need a spare. Like you said, what good is fix-a-flat if your tire is chewed up. That’s one of the things that sold me on my ‘22 Subaru Outback - full size spare tire! I also have those levers that put down the back seats from the back - so handy! Glad you could find space in the back - those under the car spares suck after a few years, they get rusted and are hard to get them down. I suppose you’ll need a Jack and lug nut wrench thing too with your spare.

That $1100 quote was for them to install it under your car or in the trunk area not just for the tire. That dealership was taking advantage! I can’t stand when dealerships do that to people it makes me so nervous to deal with them.
I have a 2002 Ford Focus 5 door named Smokey. He is silver in color. I love my car and will never replace him. I can afford any repairs he may need!I have tires from Americas tire co. They also quarantee your tires for replacement free. I learned a long time ago stay away from dealers for repairs!

You don't need to spend money on a spare tire, ridiculous! The kit the give you will plug any hole. Chances are you will not have a sidewall blowout unless your tires are very worn. And if you already pay for AAA, wont they come change a tire? Not to mention the space this is going to take up in your cargo area.!

I have a hyundai tuscan 22 hybrid with no spare. That is the ONLY thing I don't like about my car. I'm going to just get a donut and call Hyundai and then drive to closest discount tire to have a new tire put on.

Don't forget the jack, lug wrench, and make sure you don't need a key for your car tire.
