Our imaginations, speculations, and our history are the true time machines. This documentary shows that we all have access to a "time machine", and it's right between our ears!
The 1960 Time Machine is THE BEST time travel movie of all time. It had warmth, charm and excellent casting. Of course, the machine itself was the star. "Time After Time" was also quite good. I would also say "Time Stalkers" (made-for-TV movie) had an interesting story.
We just laid my 86 year grandpa to rest today November 7 2020 due to covid and Parkinson's disease. One of the hardest days of my life today was. That's why I'm here going thru some nostalgia
He just got older. Imagine how dolled up for the cameras he would have been most of the time back then. Its just not his life now. For someone with his condition, he looks good.
What people don't realize is how classic the name "Back to the Future" is.... sure it's already catchy but it's so classic in it's title based on that people go forward to the future and back to the past.... I'm sure people who first heard the title were like "huh"? lol... and then they got it when they saw the movie.... but that's how cool movies and movie titles used to be in the 80's and 90's... the title made you think and then the movie was the second part. Like "Con Air" or "Just Cause" those movies make you realize how the name fits as you see it. Classic movie name BTTF!
I don't know if you agree with me but everything Michael J. Fox says in this documentary is sounds more interesting and sort-of inspiring than what Christopher Lloyd said in Back To The Future Part III (1990).
I'm watching the Christopher Reeves movie right now. Hadn't heard of it until this documentary. Kinda sad how both he and MJF ended up, both icons of my childhood. Now I've watched Final Countdown.
I remember watching this on TV when I was a teenager. Lucky you who had a VCR recorder... we didn't even have a VCR. Michael J Fox peeked my interest with Family Ties, and I just kept wanting to see more of him.I sued to record on cassette tape Family ties and listen to them a lot... some of the shows I watch I can still remember the lines...He was such big star for such a short guy.
There were at least 2 other concepts of travel back and forth through time that were not addressed in your documentary: in the 1978 film Superman The Movie with Christopher Reeves, Superman utilizes his invulnerability and flying ability to reverse elapsed time by flying close to the sun at hyper-speeds in counter-clockwise and then reversing directions in order to find tune to the moment when he could save Lois Lane's life; secondly in a Star Trek movie, the crew of the USS Federation Starship Enterprise uses a Klingon Warbird to "slingshot" around the sun to retrieve a pair of humpback whales from twentieth century earth to save the planet from annilation by an alien race that purposefully planted that species of whales in the oceans to establish a method of communication.
