Most affordable Japanese guitar is the Ibanez RG550 Genesis Series.
Made by Fujigen factory, proper GOTOH Edge trem system, 5-piece Wizard neck for less than 950 Euros.
Yeah, the Ibanez V7/8 humbuckers are maybe not exactly ''boutique'' pickups, but you can easily swap them for whatever aftermarket model you like.
If the good folks at Vola would make a ''stripped down'' version of their Ares model with a simple alder or basswood body and no fancy top just some nice solid color finish, kept the GOTOH Floyd and S.Duncans and sell it for around the price as the Ibanez Genesis Series, now THAT would have been ''affordable''.
And they wouldn't be able to keep up with the demand.
Yehhhh but this is a signature one 😎
Agree, even though i think it should have been called "the most affordable metal/rock guitar", since the cheapest i can think of is a Tokai Stratocaster (even cheaper than a Ibanez RG Genesis if you get it without a case). That one is defo not for metal, but it can do 80s rock alright.
@@makoto4341 Let's just say it how it is, shall we? It's just another clickbait/ paid advertisement video.
@@greekfreak1980 LMAO, yeah, kinda. Funniest thing is that it isn't even needed, I'm yet to know of bad MIJ guitars. But well, it is what it is, clickbait does work, otherwise i wouldn't be here 😂
I’ve said it for a few years. They are a steal. I have a rfr one. It slays
It sounds SUPER Metal
Funky title when there are MIJ Prestiges going for $1550 right now
Pretty standard MIJ price
Not signature models?
IMHO IBANEZ PRESTIGE guitars are worth every penny
I paid $1200 USD for my Fender HM Strat 2019/2020 reissue. Made in Fender’s Japan Factory. It’s worth the price.
Sickkkkkk how Is it
Happy birthday 🎉🍀🍀🍀🥬
Have you ever tried a Edwards/ESP ?? That's Japan made also ??
I do in fact own one yeh! The blue one in the clip where I was in Japan is Edwards
Nice ❤
Awesome a MIJ for a good price. The pickups sadly sounded the same at all settings....a little better on cleaner tones.
FGN builds all their guitars in Japan and they start from around 600
What's FGN?
@@ronniestett2817 Fujigen, an instrument manufacturer in Japan. Builds Ibanez Genesis and Prestige series guitars as well.
What a FN JOKE ! Ibanez Prestige is made in Japan, better with more features, SS Frets, hardshell case, better trem, better everything. Schecter is better than these with more features for a lot less too ! April fools I guess !
More expensive. Not a signature guitar
Also this trem is gotoh. That’s premium lol
Think the universe is telling me to order this.
I don't know but we had different ways to describe cheap prices my broke ass can only afford a guitar for around 300$ that's cheap for me🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I have a MIJ fender strat I got a few years ago it’s my favourite guitar by far sounds and plays amazing the Japanese stuff is absolutely fantastic
Wow, but it's still out of my budget when it's converted to NZD.
What if you
Wanted an affordable MiJ guitar
But Vola guitars said
*Floyd Rose Special®*
My guitar has a tiger stripe effect on it but yes slime toxic green is lush too 😊 3:11 not sure about the tone though?? Sounds very.. Can't think.. Stratty? Single coils
Is Michael Keene back? I know he had really bad neuropathy in his left arm making it hard to play guitar.
Appreciate your production quality Jamie!!
Great playing! How is the neck? Since it's only available online and you can't try it in person how is the neck compared to your ESP, Ibanez, and Jackson guitar? Is it similar to any of them? Would very much appreciate it if you could give us an idea of what the neck feels like so we aren't going in completely blind purchasing it? Also, how is the heel access can you comfortably reach the 24 frets? It is an awesome guitar. Keep up the good work!
Happy Birthday Jamie 🎉🎉🍀🍀, so cool we share a birthday!!
Yay happy birthday!!
@@JamieSlays thank you 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Oh yes neon green is always cool 😎🤘. Very nice guitar indeed
Those guitars are fucking god!!!!
I'll probably never even be able to afford the most affordable of Japanese made guitars lmao My $200 Jackson dinky with emgs I installed will have to do lol maybe one day haha that color green and black are my favorite colors. I thought about painting my dinky green like that but I have yet to do enough research to feel comfortable doing that + plus I HATE sanding and I know there will be several hours of doing exactly that if I want to do it right.
Edit: I also still need to find the time to buy or make a router jig to route out the cavity to put a Floyd rose on I've been wanting to do that since I first bought it
Your dinky will suffice. It will just need pro setup and frets properly dressed etc to play probably just as good as anything!
Very cool guitar. Love the Floyd playing on this one too!
Man that's killa 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Gotta have duncans and a real floyd. I have a guitar with Fishman pickups...not a fan. Plus an old ESP with a Gotoh tremolo..not into it at all
Gotoh trems are epic! Personal preference though I guess!
🍀 Heavy Birthday! 🍀
was looking at the ares quilt maple faded sky blue on on their site, 100 bucks more for a nice quilt top. Currently guitarless, but DAMN i want one
Yeahhhh they’re sick
💚💚💚
the Keene Greene Macheene
The inlay is the star of chaos, so he didnt design it but that's still pretty cool
Ah ok. Maybe I should have said chosen by the man himself haha
I want it lol
Yehhh it’s sickkkk
Happy birthday

I found an early 00's made in Japan Jackson Rhoads for $600, so shopping used is great if you're not dead set on a brand new guitar. It holds tune better than my other 8 guitars. Japanese guitars are something else, man.
Cool shirt
Nice! 🍀🍀🍀
that dippy doozy by the rear strap but might be a deal breaker for most, (that weird notch thingy)
Loved when you switched to the active pick-up. Very clear sound not muffled or distorted.
sounds almost like everything got boosted and i mean it in a good way
FGN ?
FGN is a great brand yes. But I’m not sure they make signature models
🤘🤘

🍀🍀🍀 happy birthday dude 🤘
Thanks mate!

Thank you!!

Plenty of guitar manufacturers match the craftsmanship of Japanese.
Japanese ones?
@@JamieSlays German, French, American, Russian, etc. Japanese master luthiers don't do anything special.
Nobody matches Japan for mass production of high level instruments. Of course you can find great boutique luthiers all over the world but consistent high quality mass production is something Japan excels at in many industries.
Also, ever played a guitar built by Sugi Guitars? They're very special if you haven't.
@@oliverjames7315 I recently watched a video of an E-II guitar that left the factory in pretty crappy condition.
Michael Keene?
Yeahhhh
I am disappointed that they just did not take their $859.00 USD OZ and add a Floyd 1000 and charge $1000.00 to cover the cost. They would never be able to keep up with the orders.
Yeah, but then you would complain that they just slapped a signature model together from the parts bin.
Happy birthday! 🥳🍀
Back in 84' I finished my paper round and bought a DT 350 destroyer , metallic green 💚 rails , whammy + still awesome 😎
BULLSHIT. Buy American. Buy a Keisel. THANK YOU..
