Great video Sedge/Chris. Don't know if you guys got some new video equipment or not but for some reason the video quality looks much better than usual on this video. Not that the others looked bad, this one just looks REALLY GOOD!!! Cheers guys.
Peter... I could not agree more ... Chris has a new camera ....DJI Omso 3 and his editing skills are unbelievable.... they keep getting better with every video ... Thank you so much for noticing... THE UNIT RULES !!!!!!
@Sedgetool This video was great! I loved the more in depth, detailed explanation! I saw a couple of photos of this on the internet but struggled to figure out how to build it. Not anymore! I am going to get these ordered and work on making this for my STM 1800! Thank you for making such great content! I throughly enjoy your videos!
Awesome work table. I looked at buying the parf guide when building my paulk work benches. But for $75, I had a local cabinet shop cnc drill 19mm holes on 96mm centers in a 12mm piece of plywood. Now I just clamp to the new work piece and even hole is perfectly lined up. No measurements. No room for error. And wicked fast.
Great video! Did you start with a 2x4 piece of MDF (like one can get from home centers, or cut down to a custom size). I don't recall the overall size being mentioned. Curious how you store/hang them. I assume you wouldn't want to use the precise holes for that?
they are just scrap from larger build I have done and I just dimensioned them for the table .... I use Frank Miller Lumber here in Indiana for my hardwood ;lumber and plywood !!!
I like where you are going with this! that stm 1800 is definitely a luxury. Off topic. I have a Kapex 120 that comes stock with a 2.5mm blade. What are your thoughts about putting a 1/8" (3.125mm) kerf blade on the spindle? Am I setting myself up for a motor failure? Can the two lasers be adjusted out wide enough to accomodate the thicker kerf?
@@sedgetool thanks for the reply.. I ended up speaking with Woodpeckers and they havent done any "engineer testing" of their blade with the kapex. Not getting the warm fuzzies from them.. will probably cancel that order and play it safe and pick up a ridge carbide 80 tooth 260mm blade which has a 2.5mm kerf. I did email Festool usa pretty much the same question I asked you . (I also told them how much we enjoy you as their USA spokesperson!) Will wait to see what they say before I cancel but I suspect they will pretty much say the same thing you just did.

@sedgetool only because of your award-winning sense of humor I could add that the glare off of your head is particularly clear and reflective😉

Wow. Really inspired to make this myself now!

Rather than screwing through would it be ok to use threaded inserts and machine screws from underneath?
