- The pre rut is my favorite time to hunt whitetail deer. It's not bitterly cold, I'm still optimistic, and all the deer haven't been through war. It's the perfect time to catch bucks checking on scrapes, munching on your food plots, and searching for those does. In this video we go over four tips for hunting the pre rut so you can have a chance to be successful before the orange army hits the woods.

I'm the rookie I've asked you a lot of advice and you told me I should wait to take this big buck on my property...well I pushed my luck and went out after a storm yesterday just for a doe...doe walks out blows and runs away so I'm sitting there in my ghillie suit no stand no blind and this huge 9 point walks out then he walks straight for me he stopped at 13 yards I took my shot he ran about 20 and dropped! But I used your tips to bring him in play the wind and absolutely major sent control I can't thank you enough buddy!!!
