Best video for these models, thank you sir. 💯 I ended up lubing up mine and it stopped whining but I think I’ll replace it maybe next time it drys out.
Dang I just bought a house and the furnace wasn’t blowing when the heater kicked on. It was really noisy at first not sure if the blower wasn’t working then. But it isn’t now for the heat. The fan mode works. OMG I recognize your voice. I’ve been watching you for years to do work on my Jeep. Ha! Someone I can trust ❤️
A couple of things I experienced with replacing my Bryant Inducer (Draft) Motor: the Isolator Mounts (or grommets) were no longer needed, as the replacement fan used metal mounts. The inducer "kit" I ordered was not just the motor, but the entire replacement Inducer Motor Assembly, so I didn't need the metal ring or the new gasket, as those were included (and didn't need the grommets since those were no longer needed on the new assembly). This video was still extremely helpful for me to figure out how to remove it and replace it and to hook up the wiring in the right places. I am still wondering what is the purpose of the fan "shield", and why it's important to have it oriented in a certain way? Anyway, thanks so much, saved a lot of money by doing this myself and my furnace is nice and quiet now!
Hey thanks for the walkthru,. I happen to have the same furnace. With that link you provided im ony able to find the full inducer fan assembly. do you happen to know how to find just the motor?
Hi Jerry, my inducer motor breaks down almost every two years and I am trying to do it myself. I tried to remove the screw inside 'birdcage' but it does not budge. Any suggestions. Thanks.
Yep. I’ll get stuck on there. Typically an HVAC guy Will opt to replace the entire inducer assembly instead of the motor itself. Saves a headache and hassle.
I think I’m having the same issue but my noise is different. It’s more a squealing noise but I’ve taken the front panel off and can hear that it’s coming from the motor.
Your video helped me easily complete my first HVAC repair, saving a lot of cash! Thank you!

how did you lube it?
I've watched several of your f150 videos and now here you are again with the hot tips on noisy furnace inducer motor.
Thank you!
My inducer fan bearing started making the same sound on my carrier mid efficiency furnace as well . This is a great diy how to video jerry 👍

Yes this channel is where all my diy videos are
Nice job Jerry 👍 Those HVAC guys sure do want a pretty penny just to come out and troubleshoot....
Your video and tips worked like a charm including the scotch tape, thank you very much

Wonder if you still have the link to the inducer kit. Thanks
@@PeterNguyenDinhHa Sorry, I don't. I just searched and found an online store that carried it. This was somewhere between 6 months- 1 year ago.
Thanks for the video, I followed it and fixed my furnace at a fraction of the cost.
Great vid, thank you for taking the time!
Thanks for the info. Good video.
That fix saved you a bunch money compared to a repair coming over.
What happens if you have an inducer fan that popped out or loosened. Mine is looks like it got loose. Any recommendations

Thank you! What is the minimal amount of tools to buy if everything is somewhere else?
You are awesome, I am having just like that issue and will try and replace it myself. Thanks!
Fan set screw rusted in, broke off quality allen on mine. Should order a new fan as backup to save separate shipping cost.

Awesome video! That link went to a variety of fan motors. Do you have the motor number? Any links to the other parts you ordered? Thank you!
You need to reference the correct part from the serial number of your furnace
@@TestDontguess I was able to do that but I was just trying to order through your link so you'd get a kickback.
Understood, Amazon is kind of hit and miss for hvac parts at the moment
Where did you get the parts?
It was very helpful video!! Can you share the part numbers that you purchased?
Thank you!!
The part numbers are referenced off your serial number that’s why I didn’t include any
Easy fix and how to.
I think I’m having the same issue but my noise is different. It’s more a squealing noise but I’ve taken the front panel off and can hear that it’s coming from the motor.
That will happen if the motor continues to run with bad bearings
Thanks!
Mine spins freely. Compare to yours. So it no the motor. What could it be?
A motor with bad bearings will still spin freely. Spinning by hand is not a good way to test this. Put power to it and see if it makes noise.
It’s probably the bearings, which are actually replaceable by themselves. They are a hassle to get to, so most people opt to replace the entire motor.
