It's a great album. But it got bashed along with Kingdom Come as a Led Clone. Wanna say this was brushed off as David gets as close to being in Led Zep as he could be. But it did lead up to the reunion of Led Zep.
Love this song. The truth is jimmy was still fighting his addiction to heroin during his period with the firm then Coverdale page. Sadly enough was part of the collapse of zeppelin even before John Bonham died. I was lucky to see them 3 times in a week.
Any gifted musician knows how greatly produced this song is, among the other songs on this cd/album. Funny how negative comments come from non musicians. Songs like this will not grow old I say, just let the music rock on!
Page was a master in the studio as a producer. His talent and skill was obviously apparent from the first ZEP LP. Production on PG is one of the benchmarks of 70's rock .IMHO.
out of all the thousands of rock and metal songs , albums and bands that I love so much , I gotta say this could be some of my favorite stuff right now, I think , I'm very picky !.... I love this as much as almost any Zeppelin, almost , don't hold me to that, it's just so well produced , and the string arrangement , it's what Jimmy does....
I enjoyed the hell outta this record, people around me said it was "second rate led zeppelin". I was never quite sure if we were all hearing the same thing.
Remember writing the song's name all over my school book back in 1994. My French teacher saw that and started calling me "Madame Easy". Still loving it. Such a great song.
Back in the 90's at work one day, I heard the intro lick from shake your 🌲 and dropped what I was doing, knew, that's gotta be Jimmy and this is a good good thing. Easy does it.my favorite song on the disc, put together like real professionals" Jimmy style"
You said you needed love To warm you in the night So you gave yourself to strangers Who left you crying at first light You think the world you live in Doesn't notice you But don't you worry, baby I'll be there to comfort you Take it easy, easy Easy does it, baby, nice and slow I'll take you anywhere The four winds blow Weep no more, my lady Don't you cry I can't paint your portrait With those tears in your eye But, I can give you love Every night and day We will walk together The sun and moon will light our way Take it easy, easy Easy does it, baby, nice and slow I'll take you anywhere The four winds blow I'll tell you something You'll understand Grab a hold now, baby And I'll lead you to the promised land Make you feel so good Make you feel alright Chase away the shadows And keep you warm at night Oh, I'll keep you warm Take it easy, easy Easy does it, baby, nice and slow I'll take you anywhere The four winds blow Gonna keep you smiling And satisfied Nothing but blue skies On a magic carpet ride Take it easy, easy Easy does it, baby, nice and slow I'll take you anywhere The four winds blow Anywhere the four winds blow I'll take you there Here we go, baby Hold on No more worry, no more pain The sun is always shining And it never, ever rains And it never, ever rains And it never, ever rains
I still have this cassette :) Bought it the same year it came out at the now former local "Peaches" store on Midlothian Tnpk across from the now former location of Cloverleaf Mall near Chippenham Pkwy Chesterfield County, Virginia :)
I partied that part of town hard back in the 80's when I lived in Alexandria. Killer time's. Still love this album, learning the whole thing on guitar note for note .
when this record first came out I was first a bit skeptical of it but let me tell you something it grew on me I love the songs take me for a little while take a look at yourself and this one is well but then again I love the whole record from beginning to end I wish they would have done a part 2 of it I'm not so for sure but I did hear in the rumor mill that they may remaster this album the Ultimate Sonic and sound disc and I still have this version to this day and it's one of the finest CDs I think I've ever her since Led Zeppelin and Whitesnake but those two bands can never be duplicated
Muchas gracias FM UNAM de Posadas, Misiones por haber pasado completo este CD maravilloso, un domingo a comienzos de los '90, yo lo grabé en un caset incluyendo la voz de la locutora que iba presentando los temas.
Always one of my favorite songs from this album. Back in 93 the biz was in Grunge and was still desperate for a Zep reunion. That this didn't go forward further is a shame on the one hand but it did bring Page and Plant back together for Unledded.
yeah I love this almost as much as any Zeppelin , almost ...and Plant hated Coverdale before this even , you probably knew that tho , Coverdale was pretty dorky around this time, the interviews for this album he's idk.. a dork !!
Raph_audrey poiré Jimmy wanted Terry Reid and Steve Marriot more than he wanted Plant. Jimmy loves Coverdale and Rodgers as much as Plant, and both write better lyrics than Planty. Planty very good, but slightly overrated w he DC is underrated.
bub yacobozzi nope, ur wrong. Good To Be Bad and Forevermore albums by Whitesnake are awesome. Open up listen up. Plant is the one who is not much solo. Whitesnake is almost as good (I prefer them) to LZ and it's all David.

coverdale and page, obviously. Denny Carmassi on drums with Ricky Phillips and Jorge Casas splitting bass duties for the recording sessions. Michael Lee was the touring drummer...and thats all Ive got
I'll give that it's Coverdale's best work in my opinion and Plant hated the guy even before this came out , and it's probably one of my very favorite songs ever , I don't know if I agree with yer statement , "not that it matters at all "
Only reason Jimmy page made album with coverdale is because he asked Robert Plant to make album,he said no at the time, page got pissed and got coverdale.. and that pissed Plant off more.god wish you ppl knew your rock stars............
Couldn't disagree more. This song has too bright of a feel compared to anything in the grim and foreboding Floyd catalog. Jimmy Page's guitar style, especially in this song, is not remotely similar to David Gilmore.
What are we actually talking about, seems were missing something here. I said 'it sounds a 'TAD' Floydy! Though your really sounding like its some kind of fabric that needs to be pulled apart, analyzed & compared in small detail. Its music appreciation not an exact science & it's likely your missing out if you try & put artists & their music in a nice neat little box with a bow on. I'm no Buddhist though relate to Suzuki's quote; 'The ego has the capacity to cut itself off from the rest of mind or to flow with it, which it does by developing likes and dislikes, taste & memory etc. If we want to help the mind be more free & not cut itself off from the rest of the mind, disciplines needed. I've always tended to not follow the herd & try to keep my ears & mind wide open as possible, which has served me well as a musician. 'A work of art is not completed by the artist but is completed by the listener' Marcel Duchamp It often changes from one person to the other. When I listen to Animals or some of the same era Floyd, I personally feel a definite connection. 'Variety is the very spice of life' William Cooper Thankfully we are not all the same

To me, the best Post-Zeppelin work by Jimmy Page. The guitar work on this album is fantastic.
One of the greatest albums in history. It had everything and why god was there never a follow up album?????
It's a great album. But it got bashed along with Kingdom Come as a Led Clone. Wanna say this was brushed off as David gets as close to being in Led Zep as he could be. But it did lead up to the reunion of Led Zep.
Yeah, kinda weird. Far better than a thing Page did with Plant in the later 90s.

Good news...Coverdale talking about new music with Page in 2021
@@Robert-ru8go are you serious??? Is this true???
TPS Music Academy. I say that a lot. Just blew that collaboration he did with Plant away.

thats the way meet that robust guitar work a very good track from a very good overlooked cd
Jimmy is seriously on fire on this track with texture and power in full supply!

You said you needed love
To warm you in the night
So you gave yourself to strangers
Who left you crying at first light
You think the world you live in
Doesn't notice you
But don't you worry, baby
I'll be there to comfort you
Take it easy, easy
Easy does it, baby, nice and slow
I'll take you anywhere
The four winds blow
Weep no more, my lady
Don't you cry
I can't paint your portrait
With those tears in your eye
But, I can give you love
Every night and day
We will walk together
The sun and moon will light our way
Take it easy, easy
Easy does it, baby, nice and slow
I'll take you anywhere
The four winds blow
I'll tell you something
You'll understand
Grab a hold now, baby
And I'll lead you to the promised land
Make you feel so good
Make you feel alright
Chase away the shadows
And keep you warm at night
Oh, I'll keep you warm
Take it easy, easy
Easy does it, baby, nice and slow
I'll take you anywhere
The four winds blow
Gonna keep you smiling
And satisfied
Nothing but blue skies
On a magic carpet ride
Take it easy, easy
Easy does it, baby, nice and slow
I'll take you anywhere
The four winds blow
Anywhere the four winds blow
I'll take you there
Here we go, baby
Hold on
No more worry, no more pain
The sun is always shining
And it never, ever rains
And it never, ever rains
And it never, ever rains

They had so much more. Shame they didn’t keep on.

They were lucky to have each other at that time...they both were able to spread their wings and grow.
