Also why MSPD (Michigan State Police Department) doesn’t allow unmarked units (for traffic stops at least) unless there’s a marked unit (though don’t believe they even have unmarked cars) that goes for towns and cities (unless it’s detective vehicles (not sure if they can run lights and sirens unless there in a big city when needed).

Its cool to see how this cop understands that unmarked cars for traffic enforcement is wrong and dangerous for the officer and the suspect. As if the suspect doesnt think it's a real cop and pulls a weapon and shit escalates. This is also why cops shouldn't wear street clothes doin traffic stops. Unless there undercover, drug stings, whatever then plain clothes and unmarked whips are acceptable but not for traffic enforcement
TheReal Lifehacks I wasn't referring to the vehicle in this video I was referring to the vehicles in Massachusetts that are totally unmarked and that are used very regularly on the highways for traffic enforcement
Mike Rycc I mean, if you don't think it's a cop call 911 and ask, because pulling a weapon on someone you think is a “fake cop" always ends badly, common sense should prevail, And cops should always have a badge on them while wearing non uniform clothes just to make people feel safer
It was all so bad for a bunch of burglars at the Watergate hotel when the first officers responding to a silent alarm were in unmarked vehicles, that were ignored by the thieves and the plain clothes cops didn't act like cops. Thus began one of the biggest scandals in US history. US President resigned.
Lisa Adler what really is a “Normal" police car design in the US? NYPD Blue on white? LAPD Black on white? New York State Police Yellow on Blue? Connecticut state police Silver?, Massachusetts State Police Light Blue on Dark blue? Las Vegas Police White on Black? What is a standard color for police cars?
Why did you by a pickup with that color and not a white one that looks more like law enforcement. That's was your choice, nobody else's. If it was a hand me down from a different agency, I would understand. Don't cost much to have it repainted County Commissioner's
States like California mandate police cars can be white, black or any combo that has the doors white . In the 70's Pasadena PD had green white cop cars and the CHP made them change the color to conform with the CCR. I wonder if Texas has a similar code in their vehicle code book. Gotta admit, green is not a color for law enforcement.
The US would have to be the most "un-united" states. Even Australian states have uniformity with police car livery. Australian cops are aware of the issue people have getting pulled over by unmarked cars, even saying it's OK to drive to a police station if you believe you're tying to be stopped by a fake cop (which happens occasionally). Plain clothes Australian police display official ID when on official duty.

THE SPEED LIMIT IS 55 !!!
BOY was heavily implied.
He was livid. Mad doesnt come close to his level of fire.
@@jesserodriguez8504 The single bubblegum light looks like the cops in Blues Brothers. ;)
imagine getting pulled over by the California Highway Patrol’s all red 👋🏾
Guacamole truck.
This is something Portland Police Bureau should consider doing they're doing hiring constables super troll areas that theofficers themselves cannot actually it's not actually respond to at that time when they're needed most. I'd like to use gentlemen Actual police officers and have the same authority as the police officers do. And as far as salary it should be something uncomparable to what a police officer makes but somewhat cheaper just my opinion. And this needs to be done in Portland Oregon
Stupid Color for a cop vehicle... Looks like a forest ranger vehicle
I think all police cars should be that color the black and white are too camouflage
0:58 Actually it's not a car, it's a truck. Google truck. Smarten up.
That is ugly!!!
Constable is the base rank in most other countries for the Police.
So what the hell is a constable in the US?
PBMS123 same thing basically they're law enforcement officers
Almost like a Sheriff's Office.
It depends. In some states like Pennsylvania they have almost no power, they cant make traffic stops, nor can they have any type of emergency lights on their vehicle. But in other states they can make traffic stops, issue tickets, arrest people, etc.
That is so cool that they let the students design the truck.
WTF is a constable anyways lol? Really though, we don't have them in Idaho.
They are similar too the sheriffs office. They have full policing powers in Texas...
The woman telling this story needs to learn how to speak to adult's !!!! We aren't kindergarteners ready for story time !!!!
Constables are police right
The video plus Barney Fifh with the lisp freaking killed me.
That’s why you should have a marked unit if you do traffic stops in an unmarked car. Also why MSPD (Michigan State Police Department) doesn’t allow unmarked units (for traffic stops at least) unless there’s a marked unit (though don’t believe they even have unmarked cars) that goes for towns and cities (unless it’s detective vehicles (not sure if they can run lights and sirens unless there in a big city when needed).
people think dressing like a cop or fixing ur car up with lights and sirens is impersonating a police officer but thay really not law state thay have to identify there self as a cop for it to be impersonating a officer reson y stripper dress as cops but never idetify thereself as a cop and its legal and for thos who say its illegal to have red and blue lights and sirens on ur car is wrong to its illegal to use red and blue lights on pluplic roadways but not illegal to have on ur car stop lisent to tyrent and start looking up the law and rights with supreme court cus thay 1 that interpet law and rights
That green is kind of ugly.
Mike Rycc Well the truck isn't unmarked though
US President resigned.
im here off of Jeremy Dewitt
I am a elected sheriff to lol
A constable is an officer of the court not a deputy...get your facts straight
Elected constables can appoint deputy constables in Pennsylvania.
Not sure what Texas is like.
Just put police on it.
put they aren't police. It is a Constable service.
why not get a normal color scheme. Decals aren't going to do any good
Lisa Adler what really is a “Normal" police car design in the US?

Many county sheriff’s vehicles in CA are green and white.

Hmm
It looks fake
Dam and I thought they where preschool police officers with their attitude and ideology
Who paid to make it green ? thanks for wasting money goverment
Constables and their deputies often have to provide their own vehicles.
Whats constable?
Bart Simson The english word "constable" is from latin "comes stabuli". COP is short for "Constable On Patrol". Possible you should learn english language?
OldLordSpeedy I live in germany.. So theyre cops?
Bart Simson
Tipp: de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Konstabler
COP => dt. Konstabler auf Patrouille / Konstabler auf Streife / Konstabler im Dienst
"Constable on Patrol"? That's new. Only meaning I heard cop meant was from years ago when officers badges were made from copper and the slang term "cop" came from the copper buttons that were worn on their uniforms
Yes....news....lol
Coca-Cola zero is bad for you
Let the Australians have their "constables" !
Some small American communities have constables
Not just small communities
If you have police, what's the purpose of "Constables"
Constables shouldn't be even an agency. Ridiculous
Why not?

What the hell? How can they possibly think the original design looked like a police car. Police car is white and black with blue lights. Fire and ems use red and white lights.
Hahaha
