Great video. I catch a lot of fish in New York but my family is from Wexford. I would always try fishing in the many years I went over to visit but never had much luck. It’s nice to see someone who knows what they’re doing catching fish there. Here in New York we catch blackfish or tautog which are similar to wrasse but without the nice colors. It’s very cool to see them being caught from the shore in Ireland. Great fish, great country 🐟 🇮🇪
True kelpie Ballan wrasse judging from those colours. Try a Penn wrath 4000 reel; they have an excellent gear ratio, smooth action and the heft to get the wrasse up quickly. You don't want a monster taking you water skiing.
